Description: late night cuddles with Star and your guysâ baby daughter.
WC: 800
Astarion is feeling quite all right.
An understatement, really.
Heâs happy.
You and the angel soaking up your body warmth make him happy.
Arwen suckles at your breast, her tiny head of white tufts blocking his view as she feeds.
He can see you though, soft and glowing in the small space.
âYouâre staring,â you say, one arm holding Arwen and the other beneath your pillow.
âShall I stare at the walls instead?â He lifts a hand in the air. âThe dust, perhaps?â
âYes.â
Astarion hums lowly, placing his arm around your waist.
âUnfortunately for you,â he starts, âI donât take well to orders.â
Smiling softly, you feel him shift closer.
Glancing down at your daughter as she nurses, you gently pull your fingers through her small, light curls.
âSheâs got some appetite,â you remark. âAlmost as bad as you.â
He scoffs, softly, and rolls his eyes for show.
âAt least she knows what she wants,â he says. He looks down at her then, watching the baby feed despite the obscured view.
For a while you two lay in the quiet.
Arwenâs only a few months old; you guys got pregnant on the road, unsettled as you hadnât found a place to stay and remain, or a plan of what you wanted in permanence.
A baby had not been the then idea, but one too many nights of unsafe romps managed to override Astarionâs low fertility.
Being an elf already made reproduction hard, but being undead made it even less viable.
That made your pregnancy even riskier.
In the beginning, neither of you were sure if letting the gestation continue was right.
It could be dangerous to your health, and you two had not anticipated it. But you kept your options open.
Youâd stopped in a village for a consultation, mostly to confirm your suspicions, and assess the state of your⊠condition.
The dangers of the pregnancy were affirmed, but you also learned there was a reasonable chance of continuing the growth to full term.
That had made you both realise that the prospect of a child was less unrealistic than youâd each believed, though still came with a lot of things to keep consideration of.
You talked. And then talked more.
Took the time you needed to really consider if that was something you two could wantâdid want.
Then came Arwen.
It was a twist, but still a planned, surprisingly pleasant one.
Loving Arwen was one of the simplest things Astarion had ever done.
Not that it was more than his love for you; both were in excess. It wasnât deeper, but it flowed from a different stream.
For a long time, accepting himselfâand the real, genuine care of othersâwas hard.
His feelings for you were strong, and chaotic, and profoundly rooted in his being like his unticking heart and chilled bloodstream.
But falling for you, and building an actual relationship, took effort. It took time.
It required healing.
And you two got there, eventually. Then came your little dhampirâgranted, itâs been many years between those two events.
Astarion interrupts the silence.
âYou know, domesticity suits you far better than I ever imagined.â His tone is flirtatious yet honest.
Humming, you meet his gaze, running your palm down Arwenâs hair. âYeah?â
He doesnât respond right away, but when he does itâs softer, spoken with a clear trace of vulnerability.
His knuckles reach out, brushing two along your daughterâs cheek thoughtfully.
âI never thought Iâd live to see myself a father. Must less be able to. Orâwant to.â
You give him the opportunity to continue.
Meeting your gaze again, he does.
âYou changed . . . everything.â He grasps the hand of the arm youâve got beneath your head, bringing his lips to your skin.
âYou made this all possible,â he says. âNot just by guiding our daughter into this realm. But by standing by my side; helping me. Making me realise all of this was⊠well and truly available to me. To us. Thank you.â
Not entirely sure how to respond, you simply stare at him for a minute before saying, âYou give me too much credit.â
âOn the contrary, love.â He mimics the action of affection be bestowed Arwen, stroking your cheek with the back of his hand. âYou underestimate your influence.â
Letting out a wet chuckle, you avert your eyes momentarily, briefly closing them against his touch.
âYouâre going to make fun of me if I cry.â
âOh, darling, absolutely. Relentlessly.â
Mocking and tender all at once, he smiles at you.
âAnd perhaps if youâre lucky, Iâll kiss it better,â he murmurs.
Arwen unlatches, and you shift, adjusting your clothing and cradling her in the crevice of your inner elbow.
âWell,â you say, âI am feeling pretty lucky.â
Beside the two of them, itâs hard not to.
Hello đ hope this was good, at least reasonably in characterâŠ?? I feel like itâs cute.

The dagger left Astarionâs hand with perfect aim, until the bandit lurched forward at the last second. The blade clipped your side instead. You gasped. The sound made him spin instantly. âWhatâ?â His eyes dropped to the spreading red on your tunic and the little color he had drained from his face. âOh hells⊠I didnâtââ
He was beside you in seconds, catching your arm before your knees could give out. For once there was no teasing remark waiting on his tongue. Only worry.
âStay still,â he murmured, pressing a cloth to the wound. His hands were steady, but the tension in his shoulders betrayed him.
âIâve been stabbed before,â you tried to joke weakly.
âYes, well, Iâd prefer not to be the one responsible,â he shot back quickly. Then quieter, almost reluctantly, âIâve spent two centuries surrounded by monsters. Youâre the one good thing Iâve managed to find.â
Once the bleeding slowed, his thumb brushed gently against your wrist âNext time,â he said softly, eyes meeting yours, âtry not to stand between me and my targets.â After a pause, he added with a faint, fond smile, ââŠor I might start thinking youâre important to me.â
Gale-
âNow, theoretically,â Gale began, raising a glowing hand, âthis spell should behave perfectly.â The weave on the other hand had other ideas. in a twisted sense of humor way the arcane surge cracked outward like lightning, snapping across your arm before the magic dispersed.
You yelped.
Gale froze mid-cast. âOh no.â
He rushed to you immediately, eyes wide with alarm. âThatâwas absolutely not part of the theoretical model.â His hands hovered uncertainly before gently taking your arm, examining the burn with deep concern.
âLetâs see⊠minor arcane backlash, slight energy dischargeânothing permanent, thank Mystra.â His fingers glowed softly as he channeled a careful healing spell. The sting faded quickly. Gale let out a relieved breath, shoulders relaxing as he finished the incantation.
âI do apologize,â he said sincerely. âIt seems my enthusiasm occasionally outruns my caution.â You smiled at him.
He returned the look, softer now.
âFor what itâs worth...â he added gently, âif I must test dangerous magic⊠Iâm rather glad youâre the one who stays by my side anyway......still maybe we try this with you further way next time, yeah?"
Wyll-
The demon lunged faster than Wyll expected. He stepped forward to meet it, blade flashingâbut the fiend twisted at the last moment. His strike still landed⊠just not where he intended.
Your cry cut through the clash of steel.
Wyllâs heart dropped.
He turned instantly, horror flooding his face as he saw the shallow cut along your side. âNoâno, that wasnât meant for you!â He caught you before you could stumble, one arm wrapping firmly around your back while the other pressed cloth to the wound. His hands were steady from years of battle, but the panic in his eyes betrayed him.
âI swear, I had it under control,â he said breathlessly, shaking his head at himself. âThe Blade of Frontiers, defeated by his own terrible aim.â âIt barely hurts,â you tried to reassure him.
âThatâs hardly the point,â Wyll replied softly. Once the fight was over, he guided you to sit beside the campfire, carefully tending the injury himself. His fingers moved with gentle precision as he tied the bandage.
âYou spend far too much time protecting me,â he murmured. You smiled faintly. âSomeone has to watch the heroâs back.â
Wyll looked up at that, something warm settling in his expression. He took your hand and pressed a soft kiss to your knuckles. âWell then,â he said quietly, âwhen this adventure is over, I think the hero owes his shield a proper reward.â You raised an eyebrow.
âA dance,â Wyll said with a small grin. âUnder the moonlight. Somewhere far from monsters.â His thumb brushed gently over your hand. âAnd this time,â he added softly, âI promise not to hurt you.â
Karlach-
Karlach charged into the fight with a shout, swinging her axe in a wide arc. The enemy went down instantlyâbut the momentum knocked you off balance and straight into the dirt. The moment she realized, her triumphant grin vanished.
âOh shit! Hey, heyâ!â
She dropped the axe immediately and rushed over, crouching beside you. âYou alright? Tell me youâre alright.â You groaned, pushing yourself up. Karlach carefully checked your arms and shoulders like you might fall apart if she moved too fast.
âDamn it,â she muttered. âI forget sometimes I hit like a runaway cart.â
When you assured her you were fine, the tension finally left her face. Her grin slowly returned. âGood,â she said, helping you to your feet with surprising gentleness. âBecause if I accidentally flattened you, Iâd never forgive myself.â
She bumped her forehead lightly against yours, warm and affectionate. âCâmon,â she said with a laugh. âNext round, you stand behind me. Safer for everyone involved.â
Lae'zel-
Steel rang sharply as your blades clashed during training. Laeâzel moved with brutal precisionâbut the final strike nicked your shoulder before she could stop it. You hissed. She froze instantly. Her yellow eyes flicked to the cut, studying it with intense focus. âYou lowered your guard.â The words came automatically.
But when she saw the blood running down your arm, something in her expression shifted. Laeâzel stepped closer, gripping your arm firmly to examine the wound.
ââŠStill,â she admitted after a moment, âmy strike was excessive.â She wrapped the injury with quick, practiced efficiency. When she finished, her hand lingered on your arm just slightly longer than necessary.
âA warrior protects their ally,â she said quietly. âYou fight beside me. That makes your safety⊠my responsibility.â After a pause she added, voice softer, âAnd I do not intend to fail you again.â
Shadowheart-
The battle had barely begun when Shadowheartâs guiding bolt burst past you in a flash of radiant light. The spell struck the enemy, but its edge caught your side. Your sharp inhale made her heart drop. She turned immediately, horror flickering across her usually guarded expression. âWait.. did Iâ?â The sight of you clutching your ribs answered the question.
âGods,â she whispered, already kneeling beside you. Her hands glowed softly with divine magic as she pressed them against the wound. âHold still.â Warm light spread through you as the pain faded. Shadowheart kept her hands there longer than necessary, concentrating harder than the injury demanded. âYouâre supposed to be the reckless one,â she muttered, shaking her head.
When the healing finished, she helped you sit up, her fingers lingering around yours. âIâve spent my life learning how to mend wounds,â she said quietly. âHurting you was⊠not part of the plan.â You squeezed her hand reassuringly.
She huffed softly, the corner of her mouth lifting. âWell,â she said, brushing a stray strand of hair from your face, âif youâre going to keep getting injured, you might as well stay close to me.â

Astarion AncunĂn // The Pale Elf
Yearning scale: 8/10
He denied himself the pleasure of thinking about you in a romantic way other than to use you to get protection, power and a willing source of absolutely delicious blood. Really falling for you would be very stupid and have no benefit, really. Astarion never viewed himself as someone who deserved love, especially yours.
But during every battle Astarionâs concentration began to waver more and more. His eyes scan the area in panic until he finally spots you somewhere, being very occupied by trying to finish off the gnoll growling at you. He knows youâre capable defending yourself and finishing off some enemies and it is a delight to watch you fight, but that caused him to miss more and more, with both daggers and his crossbow.
You notice how his whole face lights up whenever you saunter over to him to do some small talk after a long day. His eyes look much softer and his smile becomes less guarded, less planned. It was adorable but you never mentioned it to him, or else you might never see that off-guard smile again.
At first you were adorned by Astarion and showered in flirts and compliments to love-bomb you and bind you to him, something he has done wo many countless times, but slowly he feels himself regretting playing up his flirtatious persona. He thinks you might not like him anymore when he stops with the over-the-top flirts, the nightly trysts and most importantly, the sex.
But deep down he was hoping and praying youâll still like him for him.
Slowly, Astarion will insist on staying close with you no matter what. The group splits up to explore a cave efficiently? He is definitely sticking by your side. Youâre heading to the Emerald Grove to stock on some food for tonight? Donât mind him tagging along, he just needs a couple of healing potions. Youâre injured and need healing? Out of the way Shadowheart, he got this with some alcohol and bandages.
âIâm sure you wont mind taking me with you to that grove again, I wanted to talk to that Tiefling by the forge. Iâm thinking about asking very nicely to have a little taste of his blood⊠But I wonât if you get jealous easily, my darling.â
Astarion quietly yearns for you. He knows how to (mostly) control himself and his tongue around you to not accidentally start coughing up the butterflies terrorising his stomach by praising, flirting, teasing you, doing everything to try and make you like him by any means, even if he has to play a persona.
He has to let out this pent up love for you somewhere, so in the evenings heâll retreat and quietly stich up his clothes that were torn during the day, check his daggers for sharpness but then also open up the hidden notebook he stashed away under his pillow and sketch a little. Mostly you, really, in all kinds of poses and situations.
He never sexualised you in any way, simply sketching you in almost domestic situations from his view; the way your face lights up in delight when Scratch brings you another drool-drenched sandal, your face scrunched together in disgust after tasting one of Auntie Ethelâs mold pies on accident or you just relaxing after a hard day. Astarion quietly admired you from his tent as his pen works against the paper. Heâs not really talented in it but itâs a nice way to unwind. He is praying though that the dog never gets the bright idea to steal his notebook and drop it into your lap or he will beg Shadowheart to cast moonbeam and incinerate him.
Gale Dekarios // The Wizard of Waterdeep
Yearning scale: The ultimate yearner âą/10
Letâs be honest, Gale is not very subtle with his yearning although the wizard thinks he is being very smooth with it.
Before having the moment with you in the weave where your minds interlinked, where you imagined kissing him, first carefully, then passionately and with vigour so shamelessly while he stands there rooted in place, trying not to explode (literally), Gale has been dreamily watching you.
He wasnât even sure why he fell in love with you or how exactly it happened, Gale had a dream about you with him in his wizard tower in Waterdeep, not exactly using his desk the way it is intended to be used. He woke up with the orb flickering in his chest and a all too familiar warmth spreading through his lower abdomen.
With every artefact you sacrifice to him and with every minute you listen to his boasting and rambling, Gale stopped fighting the feelings that were growing inside him every day and accepted that yes, he did just fall in love with the stranger that pulled him through a portal, fed him boots without hesitating and never seriously judged him for his poor decisions. He hasnât met anyone besides Tara that was very judging.
He canât act on his feelings yet, though. Gale canât even let his mind slip for a moment and let the sweet, sweet thought of your lips pressed against his, your tongues dancing with each other, his hands feeling up your waist to pull you closer and closer as if trying to absorb you. He gets ripped out of these fantasies by a sharp pain in his chest and the all too familiar feeling of the orb becoming restless.
It physically hurts him to yearn for you. The orb is like a handcrafted punishment by his goddess Mystra, which it is, but not in the way she probably intended.
His way to painlessly express his admiration for you is mostly by talking; he rants and over-explains the littlest things that can sometimes accidentally come off as condescending, but you were always interested for whatever reason, even if he just listed all the different types of elementals and all the kinds he has met himself before.
But Gale also very openly expresses how highly he thinks of you. You always heard cheers like âA perfect hit!â or âYou are doing absolutely amazing!â from the half dead and bloodied wizard that is surrounded by goblins but still thought about praising your skills. Sometimes his mouth worker faster than his brain and heâd accidentally compliment your very natural musk or point out how beautifully shiny your unwashed hair has gotten. It was probably meant to be a compliment.
Oh, it was starting to become a torture. Gale wakes up in the middle of the night after a blissful dream of strolling through the markets of Waterdeep together, playfully arguing who gets to cool what tonight, worrying about nothing other than to remember get Taraâs favourite treat. Rolling over in his bed he could feel his chest tighten, his hand instinctively gripping his nightshirt, trying to soothe the orb by touching it. He tried to take a deep breath, his fingers spreading out over his chest slowly.
His eyes fluttered shut and his lip quivered slightly as his other arm began to move to wrap around his own body. The wizard rolled over onto his side to stare at the tent wall, his own arms hugging himself, trying to make a fraction of his fantasies about you come true. But Gale would never allow to even properly think about asking to spend the night with him; it would be selfish to do so.
Zevlor // Leader of the Tieflings // Exiled Hellrider
Yearning scale: 6/10
It was probably wrong to feel the way he was feeling. You defended the grove and the refugees against goblins without questions and werenât even disappointed about not getting a reward. You walked around and talked to the Tieflings, setting some dispute between three siblings, saved Arabella from the mad druid and offered to kill the goblin leaders for them.
Zevlor tried to push away the racing heart that seemed to flare up every time you showed more and more simple kindness for his people and others. He justified it to himself that the fluttery feeling in his chest and the warmth spreading embarrassingly fast on his face is just his gratitude manifesting in other ways, but during the small celebrating party you allowed to be held at your camp and after too many cups of vinegar for wine, it all dawned on him.
âGo, enjoy yourself. Youâve earned it. Donât spend all your time on me, Iâm sure many here would want to have a word with you instead.â
He admires your courage and selflessness, but his feelings reach far beyond that. To be able to share a cup with you was incredibly flattering but also a little selfish, he thought. You are quite popular in camp and Zevlor canât deny the looks the other companions give you, so he tries to shoo you away and enjoy yourself. Having your attention all to himself, somewhere in private and in a situation that isnât stressed by looming fights and threats would be an absolute dream.
A dream he didnât allow himself to realise.
Besides, heâs an older, Hellrider-exiled Tiefling and an Oathbreaker Paladin with a group of refugee kin to look after and lead to Baldurâs Gate. Zevlor is barely able to love himself, how in the world are you supposed to be able to love him? Surely you deserve to be with someone more deserving of your love and devotion.
Even despite barely interacting with you, it was difficult for him to part from you and your troupe but there was a city for him to safely escort the refugees to. Duty calls and so does the road.
For now, Zevlor will just silently dream about you at night and think about your whereabouts during the day. He didnât allow himself to get distracted too easily but during every small moment of respite his eyes would briefly close and his mind slowly travelled to you. He always wondered where you are right now, what you are doing. How far along have you come in your journey? Last he heard Halsin joined you on your quest for a cure against a tadpole.
He secretly wonders if you are still wearing the Hellrider Gloves he had given you as a thanks after redeeming Kagha and buying them more time to pack in the druid grove. Itâs a childish thought but Zevlor really hoped that they serve you as well as they once served him and keep you safe. And maybe you think of him when you look at them.
For now, Zevlor has to focus on getting his caravan to Baldurâs Gate safely. The apparently cursed and so called âShadow Landsâ are the only way. Hopefully he can get them through in one piece.
Rolan // Wizardâs apprentice
Yearning scale: 8/10
Oh he has got a big, fat crush. Or at least that is what Cal and Lia have been teasing him about for the past days, hours and minutes. Ever since you stepped into the dispute the three had about whether they should leave the grove or not, Rolan has been more squishy and distracted.
He keeps seeing you around the grove, talking the Tieflings there and listening to what they have to say, trade with that druid merchant before heading over to Dammon to buy some new armour for you or your companions after the plates broke down. Rolanâs eyes would be scanning your whole body from the position he was standing, trying to see through your clothes and armour to check for injuries.
He knew you are an adventurer of some sort, talking to Ethel about something in your head and stocking up on a lot of healing potions. If not for you fighting through goblins Rolan wouldâve used Thunderwave to send those scum to the afterlife. So he greatly appreciates your efforts and all it must take to finish them off.
His eyes would sparkle every time you even briefly passed him. You didnât even had to look at him and he would feel his tail wagging embarrassingly fast behind himself as he tried to avoid his siblingâs knowing glances and how they 100% know what was going on.
Rolan doesnât really understand himself and why his brilliant mind decided to choose you to pine on. You, someone he will leave behind and probably never see again. You, who only interacted with him a few fleeting times. You, with that heroic attitude and need to fix everything, you with that stupid smile you gave that woman Ethel, you simply existing. He felt childish for feeling like this.
He knew youâd make short work of the goblins and their leaders but his heart still managed to flutter in admiration after finding out what you managed to do. The wizard prepared his stupid party-trick spell until you got back to the grove, trying to cast the beautiful spell he had been casting since childhood over and over until it was perfect. Performing it in front of you asked for a bottle of wine or three to get some courage.
After bowing and getting some applause from you, Rolanâs eyes still stuck to you well after you gave your compliments and departed. He couldnât help himself but feel jealous of that vampire in the corner, the purple wizard in the other and literally everyone else that breathed near you. Everyone wanted to have a piece of youâ of course. Youâre the hero of the party.
Rolan wanted to hog your time and attention to himself, though. He wants to sit down with you and for once just listen to you talk instead of him doing some boasting. It doesnât matter what you were talking about, he wants to listen and watch your lips move, maybe fantasise about leaning in closer and sharing a kiss.
But alas, thereâs an apprenticeship for him to attend in Baldurâs Gate. The road was calling and he had to move on with his travels. It doesnât mean you left his mind though, every moment he did not spend checking up on Lia or Cal, getting into an argument with one of the kids or whatever, he spend daydreaming about you.
Maybe youâll see each other again under better circumstances. He really hopes so.

The boys reacting to reader collapsing from exhaustion please?
Gale:
The stars had just begun to glimmer overhead, the velvet sky above the Shadow-Cursed Lands dimming into the kind of darkness that swallowed sound. The campfires crackled gently, casting flickering halos of warmth against the long stretch of gloom, but you were still going. Still walking. Still sorting. Still preparing.
You hadnât rested. Not really. Not since that last fight, not since the argument with the goblins in the pass, not since the near ambush from twisted shadows. Youâd kept your pace steady, your shoulders square, pushing through the weight in your limbs and the ache behind your eyes. You thought if you just did one more thing, the tension would stop building in your chest.
But your body had other plans.
You didnât even remember falling. One moment you were standing, checking your gear, your fingertips trembling from fatigue, and the nextâ
Blackness.
A quiet thump. The faint scuffle of feet on earth.
Then a voice, fraying at the edges with fear:
âWaitâwait! No, no, noâgods, pleaseâ!â
You came to slowly, like rising through molasses, every sound muffled by a distant ringing. The smell of lavender and parchment hit your senses before anything elseâthen warmth. Gale. He was crouched beside you, cradling your head with trembling fingers, his brow furrowed with frantic concentration.
His face was pale beneath the firelight, lips pressed in a tight line, panic storming behind his eyes like thunderclouds.
âThere you are,â he breathed, voice rough, like he hadnât realized heâd been holding his breath until you stirred. âYouâby Mystraâs grace, you scared the life out of me.â
You tried to sit up. âIâm fineââ
âNo, you are not,â Gale snapped. The edge in his voice shocked youâit was so rare, so unlike his usual soft-spoken warmth. But it cracked with strain, with the sharp weight of helplessness. âYou collapsed. Not tripped. Not stumbled. Collapsed. Youâve been running yourself ragged, and you think I wouldnât notice?â
You blinked at him, throat dry. âI justâthere was a lot to do. I didnât mean toââ
âYou didnât mean to?â he echoed, his eyes going wide, almost wounded. âThat somehow makes it better?â
His hands trembled as he brushed dirt from your cheek, then stilled when he cupped your jaw gently. âYou canât keep doing this to yourself. You donât have to carry it all.â
You looked away, ashamedâbecause you had been trying to carry it all. Because you didnât want to be a burden. Because you thought if you didnât slow down, maybe everything else wouldnât catch up.
But Gale wasnât done.
âYou think I wouldnât burn the very weave itself if it meant keeping you safe?â he asked, his voice suddenly soft again, but still fierce. âYou think your worth is measured by how much pain you can ignore?â
Your lip trembled, just a little. âI didnât want you to worry.â
He gave a short, humorless laugh, eyes glistening. âThen youâve failed spectacularly.â
You smiled despite yourself, and Gale immediately folded forward, resting his forehead against yours, his breath warm and shaking.
âIâm sorry,â you whispered.
He closed his eyes, pressing a kiss to your temple. âDonât apologize. Just let me help. You donât have to prove your strength by hiding your exhaustion. Not from me.â
He helped you sit up, guiding you gently like you were made of glassâhis hands constantly checking for bruises or signs of injury, his eyes flicking across your face like he might lose you again if he looked away too long.
âIâll rest,â you murmured finally.
âYouâll rest now,â Gale corrected, brushing your hair back. âAnd youâll let me stay, even if all I can do is hold you while you sleep. Agreed?â
ââŠAgreed.â
And so he settled in beside you, holding you close beneath the stars, heart still racing, fingers still tremblingâbut never letting go.
Astarion:
The campfire crackled gently in the distance, its glow barely brushing the edges of the clearing as the evening slipped into deeper shades of indigo. The world beyond was all hush and shadow, quieted by the oppressive weight of the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Everyone had started winding down, preparing for rest. Everyone except you.
You had been pacingârelentlessly. Repacking your gear. Polishing a blade youâd already sharpened twice. Pretending that the tremble in your limbs wasnât there. That the weight behind your eyes didnât burn. That you hadnât been pushing yourself beyond the brink for days.
And then, quite simplyâyour body gave out.
Your knees folded. The world tilted. And the last thing you heard was a very undignified shout:
âOh forâyou dramatic idiot!â
You woke with a sharp inhale, but the moment you stirred, cold hands were already gripping your shoulders, a familiar voice hissing through clenched teeth:
âDonât you dare try to sit up.â
Astarion loomed over you, silver hair in slight disarray, cravat askew, red eyes wild with something that looked like furyâbut was far too sharp-edged to be anger alone. He was kneeling at your side, holding you like you were made of glass and pure trouble at once.
âYou absolute menace,â he growled, inspecting you as if he might hex your exhaustion into submission. âI knew you were overdoing it. I told you. And what do you do? You drop like a sack of poorly stitched laundry!â
You blinked slowly, confused. âAstarionââ
âAnd not gracefully, mind you,â he continued, indignant. âYou just crumpled. I had to catch you like some harlequin in a second-rate opera. I nearly broke a nail.â
Despite the scolding, his hands were maddeningly gentle, checking your pulse, brushing back damp hair from your forehead. He was so close you could smell the faint hint of bergamot and aged leather. You could feel the tension in his jaw, in the way his fingers curled ever so slightly into your sleeve as if grounding himself.
âIâm sorry,â you murmured, voice hoarse.
He froze.
And then something shifted.
Astarionâs eyes softenedânot much, but enough to crack the veneer of aristocratic outrage. He sighed, exasperated and... undeniably worried.
âGods, darling, what were you thinking?â he said, this time quieter. âYou looked like death warmed over hours ago. Why didnât you say something? Or sit? Or, Mystra forbid, actually rest?â
You tried to offer a weak smile. âDidnât want to trouble anyone.â
His face twisted like youâd just said the most offensive thing imaginable.
âTroubleâ? Oh, how dare you,â he snapped, but now it sounded almost... wounded. âYou think I waste my charms on just anyone? You think I go around catching unconscious fools for fun? You are my trouble, you idiot.â
He pulled you upright against his chest with surprising tenderness, wrapping his arms around you as he shifted you into his lap, cradling you like something precious and exasperating all at once. You could feel the way his thumb traced circles along your spine, even as he clicked his tongue in disapproval.
âI swear, if you ever scare me like that again, Iâllâwell, Iâll write a very strongly worded sonnet about your irresponsibility.â
You laughed softly against his shoulder. âA poem? Thatâs my punishment?â
âI am an artist of many talents, thank you very much,â he said primly. âBut donât tempt me. Iâll make it rhymed and awful.â
You looked up at him through tired eyes, heart aching with affection. âYou were worried about me.â
âOh, perish the thought,â he sniffed dramatically. âI was worried about me. What would I do if my favorite pillow went and died from pure stubbornness?â
And yet he pulled the blanket tighter around you. And his hand never left yours. And he didnât stop holding youânot for the rest of the night.
Furious, indeed.
Wyll:
The world drifted back in slow fragmentsâlight, sound, breath. You stirred, faintly aware of something heavy draped across you, of warmth pressed along your side, of a steady rhythm pulsing through fabric and skin: a heartbeat, far too quick to be your own.
âWyll?â your voice came out as a rasp, thick and uncertain.
He did not move.
Your eyes blinked open to find him kneeling at your side, bent low, his forehead resting just over your heart like he was listening for somethingâproof you were still there, still beating beneath his hands. His fingers gripped your shirt, knuckles white, the rest of him utterly still save for the occasional tremble that betrayed just how close he was to coming undone.
ââŠYouâre awake,â he whispered, voice hoarse, like speaking louder might break whatever fragile reality heâd constructed around himself while you were unconscious.
âIâm fine,â you croaked, trying to push yourself up.
Instantly, Wyll surged upward, pressing a firm hand to your shoulder and another to your hip, holding you flat against the bedroll with all the strength of someone who had just seen the person they love go limp and collapse in front of them. His dark eyes were wide, frantic, and furiousânot at you, but at the helplessness clawing at him from the inside.
âDonât you dare try to move,â he growled. âNot after that stunt.â
âI said Iâm fine,â you muttered, wriggling against his grip. âI just overdid it a littleââ
âYou collapsed,â he snapped. âLike a marionette with its strings cut. One minute you were walking, talking, and the nextââ He choked, fingers tightening for a split second. âYou hit the ground and IâI thought you were dead.â
You opened your mouth to dismiss him again, to soothe, but Wyll leaned in, his voice low and sharp like flint striking steel.
âYou donât get to tell me this is nothing,â he hissed. âBecause if you keep running yourself into the ground like this, someday it wonât just be a collapse. Itâll be you not waking up. And Iââ He shook his head, his expression crumpling. âI canât go through that.â
âWyllââ
âI need you to understand what it does to me,â he interrupted, suddenly, dangerously close. âTo see you fall and not know if Iâll ever hear your voice again. So if I seem dramatic, if I seem over-the-top, itâs because Iâm trying to teach you something.â
He exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through his curls. His tail flicked with restless tension behind him.
âBecause when the real thing happensâwhen I do lose youâIâll be ruined. You are the flame I measure all warmth by. And if that flame ever goes outâŠâ
He swallowed hard. âThen Iâm nothing but ash.â
Your heart twisted at the way his voice faltered, how the last word was barely more than a breath.
You tried to sit up again, to offer some comfortâbut he lunged, practically threw himself down, sprawling across your torso like an overgrown, armored cat with an overdeveloped sense of righteous vengeance.
âYou are resting.â His voice was muffled against your chest, but the weight of his body was firm, final, and very much unmoving.
You blinked. ââŠAre you pinning me down?â
âYes.â
âYou weigh a thousand pounds.â
âI will increase it if I have to.â
You sighed, flopping back with a groan of surrender. âYouâre being ridiculous.â
âAnd youâre being reckless,â he retorted, not budging. âSo now weâre even.â
There was a long silence. Then a quiet chuckle slipped out of you, reluctant but real. You carded your fingers through his hair, letting the tension bleed from your limbs.
âFine. Iâll rest.â
Wyll tilted his head just enough to press a kiss to your sternum, his voice a low murmur. âThatâs all I ever wanted.â
Halsin:
The moment your eyes cracked open, you knew you were in trouble.
The air inside Halsinâs tent was thick with the scent of dried herbs and pine resin, heavy with the warmth of the furs layered beneath you. It was dimâhis tent flap drawn shutâbut soft light filtered in, revealing the familiar shape of his travel gear stacked in its usual meticulous order. The cot creaked softly beneath you as you shifted, muscles aching, limbs leaden. There was a wet cloth resting on your brow, cool and fragrant with some kind of forest mint.
You had absolutely, unequivocally passed out from exhaustion.
And Halsin had clearly been the one to find you.
A groan built low in your throat, and with it came your brilliant idea: sneak out. Maybeâjust maybeâyou could slink off before he returned. You didnât relish the idea of a lecture from a near seven-foot-tall druid whose entire body seemed to be carved from oak and thunderclouds.
You swung your legs over the cot, wincing as the rush of dizziness hit you. But you were determined. Quiet. Graceful. Almost at theâ
âWhere,â came a low, thunderous voice from behind, âdo you think youâre going?â
You froze mid-step. Slowly, guiltily, you turned.
And there he wasâHalsinâmassive, bare-chested, his thick arms crossed over his chest, golden eyes narrowed and jaw clenched with a sternness that belonged more to a storm than a man.
âAh,â you said. âI was justâstretching.â
Before you could retreat or formulate another weak excuse, he closed the space between you with startling speed, scooped you up like you weighed nothing at all, and slung you over his shoulder.
âHalsin!â you protested, smacking at his back as he turned and carried youâwithout effort, without ceremonyâright back to bed. âPut me down!â
âYouâre lucky Iâm not tying you to the cot,â he rumbled, voice edged with exasperated affection. âYou collapsed in the middle of the clearing. In front of everyone. I had to carry you back hereâtwice, apparently.â
He set you down with far more care than his grumbling suggested, adjusting the furs around you, his large hands surprisingly gentle as they brushed a damp curl from your temple. Then, without another word, he reached behind him and produced a small bundle of cloth.
He opened it to reveal a collection of deep red and violet berries nestled in soft moss. âI foraged these. You need to eat.â
You blinked. âHalsin, Iââ
âEat,â he said simply, with that patient, immovable tone he used when dealing with stubborn animals and, apparently, stubborn lovers.
You gave him a sheepish look, but obeyed, popping a few of the berries into your mouth. They were sweet, tart, and immediately grounding. Halsin watched you the entire time, gaze softening only after he saw you swallow a second mouthful.
Once satisfied, he slid in beside you, the cot creaking in protest beneath his weight. You barely had time to blink before his arms wrapped around you, strong and encompassing, pulling you into the heat of his chest. One leg tangled with yours as he pulled the furs up around both of you.
âYou frightened me,â he murmured, his voice low and close to your ear, breath warm against your hair. âI have seen wounds. Disease. Poison. But watching you crumble from something so preventable? It... it undid me.â
âIâm sorry,â you whispered, voice already thick and slipping into sleep again. âDidnât mean toââ
âShh,â he whispered, pressing a kiss to your temple. âNo apologies. Just rest.â
You tried to protest, but your words slurred, consciousness unraveling like smoke. You barely registered his arms tightening around you protectively, his deep voice rumbling softly as he murmured something soothing in Druidic, something meant to lull, to calm.
âIâll watch over you,â he promised into your hair. âYou are safe now. Just sleep.â
And this time, you listened.

The tranquility of the small, secluded village had been a balm to your wounded, broken soul. Hidden deep within the forest on the surface, it seemed like the perfect place to escape the chaos and bloodshed of the Underdark that had come to define your life with Minthara. For months, you managed to lived in peace, and the horrors of the Underdark and Minthara's ruthless conquest slowly became distant memories. But peace, you learned, is a fleeting, foolish, illusion.
It was a quiet evening when she found you. The sun was setting, casting shadows across the village square. You were tending to a small garden, your hands deep in the earth, when the first screams pierced the air. Your heart lurched, a cold dread settling in your stomach. You looked up to see villagers running, their faces twisted in terror, as dark figures emerged from the surrounding forest.
You immediately recognised them to be Minthara's soldiers, ruthless and efficient, and spreading through the village like a hideous plague. Houses were set ablaze, and those who resisted were cut down without mercy, their bodies quickly put on brutal display, their home, their burning pyre. Panic seized you, and you turned to flee, but it was too late. She stood before you, a dark, imposing figure against the backdrop of burning homes.
"Did you really think you could hide from me?" Her voice was a chilling blend of amusement and anger. "There is no place you can go that I cannot find."
Her eyes, once a source of fascination and allure, now bore into you with a cruel, predatory intensity. She advanced slowly, savoring the fear that radiated from you.
"You disappoint me," she said, her voice a venomous whisper. "I thought you were stronger than this, more loyal and that your standards were extraordinarily higher than this."
Minthara gestured with disgust the small homestead you had made for yourself. You tried to speak, to explain, but words failed you. The memory of the person she once was clashed violently with the reality of the monster before you. She reached out, her fingers brushing against your cheek in a mockery of tenderness.
"I gave you everything," she continued, her voice soft yet seething with underlying fury. "Power, purpose, and a place by my side. And you ran away."
Her hand moved to grip your chin, forcing you to look into her eyes. "Now, you will watch as everything you tried to build without me burns to the ground."
With a wave of her hand, she commanded her soldiers to bring forth the villagers who had been captured. They were dragged into the square, their faces marked by fear and confusion. You knew them, they had helped you, taken you in, wanting nothing but to see you smile. You struggled against her hold, desperate to help them, but Minthara's grip was unyielding.
"Look at them," she hissed, her lips close to your ear. "They suffer because of you. Because you dared to defy me."
Tears of helpless rage filled your eyes as you watched the villagers, they were killed slowly, painfully. You watched the light drain from their eyes, their pleas for you to do something resonating in your skull. Minthara moved closer to you, her lips trailing up your neck, the touch both intimate and suffocating.
"You will stay with me," she murmured, her voice a dark promise. "You will learn that there is no escape from my will. And in time you will love me."
As she kissed your neck, a gesture that once brought warmth now filled you with a chilling dread, she pulled back and looked deep into your eyes. "Do you see now? You belong to me, and no matter where you go, I will always find you."
The village continued to burn, the flames casting flickering shadows on Minthara's face. She smiled, a cold, triumphant smile, and you knew that your fate was sealed. In her eyes, you saw the reflection of your own helplessness, a stark reminder of the power she wielded and the chains you could never break.
The moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the dense forest. You had been on the run for months, trying to escape the clutches of Shadowheart, the Mother Superior of the Sharrans. Her cruelty towards others had finally driven you away, you didn't believe your own excuses for her anymore, and you couldn't bear to see the darkness that had consumed her heart. But no matter how far you ran, you always felt her presence lingering, a shadow that refused to let you go.
One night, while you were sleeping in a small, hidden cave, the best you could do without risking interaction with civilisation, you awoke to the sound of rustling leaves and the feeling of an oppressive force drawing near. Panic surged through you, but before you could react, you felt a cold hand cover your mouth, stifling your scream. Shadowheart's face emerged from the darkness, her eyes glowing with an unnatural light.
"Did you really think you could hide from me?" she whispered, her voice a chilling mix of anger and possessiveness. "Did you think I would let you go so easily?"
Tears welled up in your eyes as you struggled to free yourself, but Shadowheart's grip was unyielding. She muttered an incantation under her breath, and you felt a wave of magical energy wash over you. Your body went limp, and your vision blurred as the world around you faded into darkness.
When you awoke, you were back in the Sharran temple, bound to an ornate chair in Shadowheart's private chamber. The room was dimly lit by flickering candles, casting long shadows on the walls. Shadowheart stood before you, her expression unreadable as she looked upwards, muttering incantations, channeling the power of Shar. Her hands glowed with dark energy as they moved and flicked, as you came to you realised the strange sensation in your mind, as if memories were being played and plucked from your consciousness.
"You left me," she said softly, as she looked down at you, her voice filled with a mix of hurt and determination. "But I can't allow that. I won't allow that."
As the spell took hold, the memories of her cruelty and your subsequent escape began to fade. You tried to resist, to hold on to the truth, but the power was too strong. The love you once felt for Shadowheart, the passion and devotion, surged back to the forefront of your mind, overpowering everything else.
"You belong to me," Shadowheart continued, her eyes fixed on you. "And I will do whatever it takes to keep you by my side."
Your head swam with conflicting emotions, but the magic of Shar twisted your thoughts until you could no longer remember why you had left in the first place. Instead, all you could think about was your love and adoration for Shadowheart. The memories of her cruelty were buried deep within your subconscious, replaced by a distorted version of reality where she was your everything.
Finally the darkness fully enveloped you, seeping into every corner of your mind, erasing the memories that had driven you away. You felt your resistance slip with it, replaced by a warm, all-encompassing love for the woman before you.
When you awoke again, you were no longer bound, and you were in Shadowheart's arms, both of you tucked under silk sheets in her lavish private chamber. She was holding you close, her fingers gently stroking your hair. You looked up at her, confusion and love warring within you.
"Shadowheart," you whispered, your voice hoarse. "What happened? Why do I feel... strange?"
She smiled down at you, her eyes soft and filled with love. "You had a bad dream, my love," she said soothingly. "But it's over now. You are safe with me."
You nodded, the memory of the dream already fading. You were with Shadowheart, the woman you loved more than anything. How could you ever have doubted her?
She kissed your forehead, her lips warm and comforting. "Rest now, my love," she whispered. "We have each other, and that is all that matters."
As you closed your eyes, the last remnants of your fear and doubt melted away, replaced by the warming love and trust you felt for Shadowheart. She was your everything, and you would never leave her again.
You step into your quarters, the familiar, sacred tranquility enveloping you like a comforting shroud. The moonlight filters through the window, casting a silvery glow over the room. As you close the door behind you, a chill runs down your spineâa sensation that is both foreign and unnerving in this place of sanctuary.
Then, you see him.
Gale stands in the center of the room, his presence as imposing and magnetic as ever. His eyes, once filled with mortal passion, now burn with the intensity of a god. He claps slowly, the sound echoing ominously in the silence. "Well done," he says, his voice a smooth blend of admiration and something darker. "To turn to Selûne, of all deities. Clever. So very clever."
You stiffen, every muscle in your body screaming at you to flee, but you force yourself to meet his gaze. "Gale," you begin, your voice steadier than you feel. "You shouldn't be here."
He laughs, a sound rich with amusement and irony. "Shouldn't I? You think you can hide from me, even with the Moonmaiden's help? Oh, my dear, it only made me love you more. The cunning, the defiance. It's intoxicating."
Your heart pounds in your chest, each beat a frantic plea for escape. "I don't want to return to you," you say, the words rushing out in a desperate torrent.
His expression softens, but there is a steely resolve in his eyes. "You don't have a choice. I've carved out a place for you in the heavens, a place by my side. It's where you belong."
Panic surges through you, and you turn, racing for the door. But before you can reach it, he is there, materializing in front of you with a god's effortless speed. You crash into him, the impact jarring, but he remains unmoved, his arms encircling you in a grip that is both tender and inescapable.
"I've missed you," he murmurs, his breath warm against your ear. "And I know you've missed me, too."
You shove him, your hands pushing against his chest with all the strength you can muster. He staggers back, not from the force of your push, but from the sheer surprise of it. And then he laughs again, the sound filling the room like rolling thunder.
"Is this the game you want to play? So be it." he asks, his eyes alight with a fierce, unholy joy. His power surges, the air around him crackling with divine energy. "Maybe I can show you a bit of godly wrath,"
You back away, your mind racing for a plan, a way to escape the inevitable. But even as you retreat, you know that this is a game you cannot win. Gale's love, his obsession, is a force of nature, and he is determined to claim what he believes is rightfully his. The room darkens, the shadows deepening as his power swells, and you realize with a sinking heart that there is no sanctuary left for youânot from him.
The room trembles as Gale's godly wrath unfurls, the very air around you becoming charged with his immense power. The ground beneath your feet shudders violently, and you can feel the tremors spreading far beyond your quarters. Objects rattle and crash to the floor, and outside, you hear the distant, terrified screams of innocents caught in the wake of his fury.
Lightning arcs across the sky, its blinding flashes followed by deafening cracks of thunder that shake the walls. The cries of the people intensify. You rush to the window, your heart sinking as you witness the chaos unfolding below. Bolts of divine lightning strike indiscriminately, setting buildings ablaze and sending people scrambling for cover.
"Gale, stop this!" you shout, turning back to him, your voice barely audible over the cacophony of destruction. "You're hurting them! Please, stop!"
But his eyes are fixed on you, burning with an intensity that leaves no room for mercy or reason. He steps closer, and the tremors grow stronger, the ground splitting open in jagged fissures. You can feel the raw power emanating from him, an unstoppable force driven by his relentless ambition and obsession.
"Gale, please!" you plead, your voice breaking with desperation. "You're killing them! Stop!"
He seems not to hear you, his focus unwavering, his expression unyielding. The room continues to shake, the walls cracking, pieces of the ceiling starting to fall. You drop to your knees, the weight of the situation crushing you, and tears stream down your face as you beg. "Gale, I'm begging you. Stop this madness. I'll go with you. Just please, stop!"
For a moment, the earth stills, the roaring thunder quiets, and the flickering lightning halts. Gale's expression softens as he looks down at you, his eyes filled with a mix of triumph and tenderness. He steps closer, his hand reaching out to gently lift your chin, forcing you to meet his gaze.
"There," he murmurs, his voice soothing but laced with satisfaction. "Was that so hard?"
Tears stream down your face, your body trembling from the emotional and physical strain. The cries outside have lessened, but the damage is doneâbuildings lie in ruins, and lives forever changed. He helps you to your feet, his touch surprisingly gentle.
"I never wanted to hurt them," he says softly, his eyes searching yours. "But you needed to understand. You belong with me. And now, you see that."
You swallow hard, the weight of his words sinking in. The power he wields, the destruction he can causeâit leaves you with no illusions about your fate. With a heavy heart, you nod, resigned to your destiny by his side.
"Good," he says, his smile returning. Placing a tender kiss to your forehead, as if hadn't just thrown a deadly tantrum. "Let's leave this place behind. There's a place I've prepared just for you."
As he leads you away, the ground beneath you begins to heal, the tremors fading into memory. The devastation left in his wake serves as a grim reminder of the price of defiance, and as you take his hand, you know that your life will never be the same.
The tavern was alive with the chaotic energy of revelryâa madness of laughter, music, and clinking tankards that seemed to drown out the troubles of the world. You had sought solace in its bustling atmosphere, hoping the crowd would shield you from the relentless pursuit of your ex lover, a man you used to call your world, now a godling born of malice.
For months, you had managed to elude him, slipping through shadows and distant towns, always one step ahead. But tonight, fate had caught up with you. As you mingled with the merry throng, trying to blend into the sea of faces, a shiver ran down your spineâa sensation you knew all too well.
There he was, leaning casually against a pillar, his eyes fixed on you with an intensity that sent a chill through your veins. Astarion, now ascended to a dark power beyond mortal comprehension (or so he kept telling you), exuded an aura of dominance and danger. He wore a smirk that promised both pleasure and pain, and it chilled you to the bone.
You tried to slip away, to disappear into the crowd, but he moved with an unnatural speed, cutting off your escape route effortlessly.
"Running again, my dear?" His voice was like velvet over steel, laced with amusement and a hunger that sent a jolt of fear through you.
Before you could react, he pulled you into the swirling dance of the tavern. Around you, oblivious revelers spun and laughed, lost in their own joyous abandon. But your world narrowed to the commanding presence of Astarion, his touch igniting a familiar fire of longing and dread.
"You won't get away this time," he murmured, taking your hand in his cold, firm grasp. As the dance continued, his grip tightened, his fingers tracing delicate patterns along your skin. "You've made me chase you for so long," he murmured, his lips brushing against your ear. "But tonight, you are mine."
Before you could respond, he dipped you low, his lips finding the curve of your neck. The world spun as his fangs sank into your flesh, a sharp pain followed by a heady rush as he began to drink. The room seemed to blur, the sounds of the tavern fading into a distant hum.
Your strength ebbed away with every pull of his lips, the life draining from your body as he fed. When he finally withdrew, his eyes blazed with triumph and possessiveness.
You collapsed into Astarion's arms, the sensation of his cold embrace the last thing you felt before darkness claimed you. He held you close, cradling your lifeless body with a tenderness that belied his monstrous nature
The tavern erupted in good-natured cheers and applause, the patrons none the wiser to the sinister truth. Astarion carried you towards the door, the night air cool against your skin as you drifted in and out of consciousness.
He leaned in close, his lips brushing your ear as he whispered, "Did you really think you could escape me, little love? You belong to me forevermore. The gift I am about to give you will ensure that."
His voice, filled with dark promise, was the last thing you heard before the world went black.
The rhythmic clattering of the factory machines was your lullaby and your solace. The industrial din was a constant reminder that you were safe, cocooned in the heart of Baldur's Gate, far from the forests and nature that had once felt like home. Now, those same woods were a nightmare, haunted by the shadow of the man you once loved.
Halsin had changed. His belief in the balance between nature and civilization had twisted into a dark crusade. What had started as a noble cause to protect the wilds had turned into an extremist vision, with Halsin determined to return the world to a primal state at any cost. You had watched in horror as he resorted to violence, razing villages, and leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Unable to reconcile the gentle druid you knew with the monster he had become, you fled.
Baldur's Gate was your sanctuary. The bustling city, with its stone buildings and cobbled streets, was the furthest you could get from the greenery Halsin now worshipped. You threw yourself into your work at the factory, rarely leaving its grimy confines. The city's heart was far from the forest's edge, making it the safest place you could be.
An accident at the factory changed all that.
You awoke in a jostling wagon, the familiar scent of the city replaced by the earthy aroma of the countryside. Panic surged through you as you realized you were on the outskirts of the forest. The attendant, a kindly old man, noticed your distress but dismissed your fears, assuring you that everything would be alright.
"No," you rasped, your voice filled with desperation. "You don't understand. It's not safe here."
The attendant patted your hand, his smile meant to be reassuring but only deepening your sense of dread. "The healer is just a little further. You'll be well taken care of."
As the wagon continued its journey, every rustle of leaves, every whisper of the wind set your nerves on edge. You knew Halsin would find you; he always did. The wagon eventually came to an abrupt halt. The attendant frowned and stepped out to investigate, despite your urgent pleas for him to stay.
"Please," you begged, your voice trembling. "Don't go. It's dangerous."
"Nonsense," he replied with a chuckle. "I'll just see what's blocking the path."
He vanished from view, and the silence that followed was more terrifying than any noise. Seconds stretched into agonizing minutes, each one a reminder of the peril you were in. You strained to hear anything - footsteps, voices, anything that could tell you what was happening.
A sudden rustle outside the wagon snapped you out of your thoughts. You turned just in time to see a massive figure emerging from the trees, cloaked in green and brown, a silhouette that was both familiar and terrifying. Halsin. Your heart pounded in your chest as he approached, his eyes dark and intense, the very embodiment of nature's wrath.
The attendant's scream was brief, cut off by a sickening crunch. You felt a wave of nausea, but there was no time to dwell on it. You had to get away. The door of the wagon creaked open, and a towering figure filled the doorway. Halsin's once gentle eyes now burned with an intensity that made your blood run cold. His presence radiated raw, untamed power, and the forest seemed to respond to him, the trees whispering and shifting as if alive.
"There you are," he said, his voice a deep rumble. "I have missed you."
You shrank back, pressing yourself against the far side of the wagon. "Please, Halsin, donât do this. I had to leave. Youâve changed."
"You shouldn't have run," he said, his voice a dark, velvet caress. "You belong with me, in the wilds."
"No," you whispered, tears streaming down your face. "Not like this, Halsin. Please."
He cupped your face in his hands, his touch surprisingly gentle. "The world must return to its natural state," he murmured. "And you will be by my side when it does. I won't let you go, my heart, not again."
You tried to pull away, but your injuries and his strength made it futile. He wrapped you in his arms, cradling you as if you were the most precious thing in the world. You felt a mix of despair and a twisted sense of comfort in his embrace.
"Youâve been hurt," he murmured, more to himself than to you. "I will take care of you."
You wanted to fight, to scream, but your body betrayed you, too weak to resist. As he carried you into the forest, you looked back at the wagon, the nice old man lying lifeless beside it, plants already making their home in his corpse. Tears blurred your vision. You knew there was no escape now. You were back in Halsin's world, a prisoner of his love and twisted vision for the future.
Hello! Could I request a pregnant reader running away from the Dark ending characters to protect their unborn baby? Sort of an alternative scenario where the dark characters donât know their darling is pregnant and they successfully manage to run away and hide with their child for a few years before theyâre both found again by their yandere?
It had taken every ounce of strength you possessed to leave Minthara, but your pregnancy had propelled you forward. Each moment of your escape was a dangerous gamble, every step a silent prayer, relying on old allies and, for the first time, even the enemies of the Baenre estate to help you vanish into the world above. You'd known the risks, the chance that Mintharaâs dark reach might find you anywhere, but when you finally stepped into the light of the surface world, the chill of fear faded, replaced by something warmer, something you hadnât felt in years. Freedom.
In that quiet, sunlit village, you built a new life. It wasnât grand or luxurious, but it was wholly yours, unburdened by the constant dread of Mintharaâs ambition and possessive cruelty. It was a simple existence, but peace had always been elusive for you, and here, you had finally grasped it.
And when your daughter was born, small and soft and untainted by any darkness, you felt a strength bloom within you that was fiercer than any resolve you had known before. She was innocent, untouched by Mintharaâs world, a part of you that you would fiercely protect. In her small face, you saw the promise of a life unshadowed by fear. She became your joy, your purpose, and the villagers who took you in became a family, treating her as a precious miracle. For the first time, you felt safe.
Life became a quiet rhythm: tending to her, letting her laugh at the birds that flew outside your window, and feeling her small fingers tug at your hair as she babbled with wonder at every new thing. In the peaceful warmth of the village, the sounds of morning birds and evening lullabies replaced the echo of Baenreâs cold vicious halls. It felt safe enough, at times, that you dared let yourself relax. You would take small naps in the afternoons, letting sleep claim you while she lay in her cradle.
It was on one of those afternoons, feeling content and unburdened, that you allowed yourself to truly sleep. It was a mistake.
You awoke, not to the warmth of your small bed, but to the touch of silk sheets. No longer were you wrapped up in the knitted jumper your elderly neighbour had made you but the finest robes the Underdark could offer. The comforting scent of home had been replaced by the stale, heavy air you had left behind. Your eyes flew open in panic, and terror surged through your veins as the truth settled over you. The bed, the cottage, the life you had builtâit was all gone. You were back within the Baenre estate, its dark silence pressing down on you like a nightmare.
You staggered to your feet, the terror clawing at your chest, but only one thought filled your mind: your daughter. You tore through the familiar, hated halls, shouting her name, your heart pounding as you passed door after door, corridor after corridor, each one empty and devoid of life. No warmth, no gentle light from the village. Only darkness and the cold.
Then, in the dim light of Mintharaâs chambers, you saw her.
Your daughter, barely a few months old, sat on Mintharaâs lap, her small hands reaching out, curious, to touch the dark fabric of Mintharaâs robes. Mintharaâs face held a strange gentlenessâa softness you once trusted, now contorted into something twisted and terrifying. She murmured to the child, her tone almost affectionate, the sound catching in your ears like broken glass.
"Your mama had a little⊠lapse. She thought she could leave us,â Minthara cooed, her words soft, her gaze never leaving your child. âBut itâs alright now. Sheâs returned to where she belongs, where you belong, my love."
Her eyes lifted, meeting yours, a cold gleam in them. She gave you a pitying, patronizing smile, as though you were nothing more than a child caught in a foolish game. Your legs felt like lead, each step heavy as you stumbled into the room, desperate and helpless.
âMintharaâŠplease,â you choked, reaching out, your voice thin and trembling. âGive her back to me.â
Mintharaâs smile grew sharper, and she shifted your daughter on her lap, as though she were cradling a prize, a possession that was irrevocably hers.
âYou werenât well, darling. Call it pre-partum delusions, if you will. MotherhoodâŠdoes things to the mind.â Her voice was calm, patronizing, almost soothing, and each word sank into you like a blade. âBut rest assured, Iâll make sure this never happens again. Youâll be protected, watched over.â
A heavy, cold weight settled over you as she dismissed everything you had fought for as if it were nothing but a passing illness. She was rewriting your escape as nothing more than a fit of irrationality, a lapse in judgment, the precious life youâd built reduced to a fevered dream. She continued, her tone sharp, each word a stone that buried your resolve.
âRest assured that Iâve forgiven you. I understand what might have driven you to this⊠lapse.â She reached down, brushing a strand of hair from the childâs forehead with a delicate hand as though you werenât standing there, each word diminishing you. "But worry not, you two will never leave again. Iâll see to it myself.â
You took a step forward, trembling, your gaze shifting from Mintharaâs possessive hand on your child to her eyes, which held no warmth, only an unyielding, terrible love. âMinthara⊠please, I was only trying to protect her fromââ
âProtect?â she interrupted, her voice slicing through the air like a whip. âYou were confused. You were delusional.â Her voice softened, taking on a chilling gentleness. âBut I know it was only fear that drove you to such⊠irrational behavior. Now, our family is whole again. Our baby will grow up in both of her mothers' embrace."
Her voice left no room for protest, and when you tried to step forward again, she shifted your daughter further away, holding her closer, her gaze hardening with an unspoken threat. Your protests died on your lips as you curled in on yourself.
âNow,â she continued, her voice soft, almost soothing, âyou will stay here with us, and in time, you will understand that thisâthis is the only place you need to be.â Her eyes softened with a chilling, twisted affection. âYou and our daughter, bound together in this family. Youâll see itâs whatâs best.â
A shudder of helplessness ran through you as you realized there was no escape. Not now, not ever. Mintharaâs control was unbreakable, her possession over you, over your daughter, as absolute as the stone walls that surrounded you. She had taken everything and redefined it under her own iron will, trapping you within a nightmare disguised as love.
Your daughter gurgled, reaching for you, her small, trusting eyes unaware of the darkness that loomed. As Minthara held her close, her fingers brushing the childâs cheek with a cruel tenderness, you felt the weight of her claim settle over youâa cage you could never escape. And as you looked into Mintharaâs eyes, you knew she would never let you go.
The news had settled within you like a quiet revelation, a blooming certainty despite the fog of your fractured memories. You were pregnant, carrying Shadowheart's child. It was surreal and daunting, your memories of her a shattered mirror, fragments of affection and fear intertwined. But as soon as you felt the life stirring within you, something undeniable broke freeâa fierce, protective instinct you hadnât felt before. Whatever your past held, this future, this child, needed something elseâsomewhere safer than the Sharran cloisterâs shadowed halls.
Days turned to weeks as you hid the truth from Shadowheart, burying your own memories further, blending into the routines she expected of you. Finally, in the dead of night, you slipped away, cradling your belly and the life within it, guided only by that need to protect, even as your own mindâs certainty waned. Exhaustion and the pain of fleeing left you breathless, but you pressed on, slipping past the cloisterâs walls and through the wilderness, seeking the solace you knew lay elsewhere.
It was through sheer resilience that you found the Selunite communityâa hidden sanctuary of gentle souls who embraced you without question, taking you in like the family you barely remembered. Their kindness was a balm, a healing force that soothed you as you neared the end of your pregnancy. And when the time came, their hands and prayers guided you through childbirth, their soft words of encouragement weaving through your pain. Finally, you held your daughter, her small face serene, a spark of light in the world that had been so dark.
Those first few days passed in a haze of wonder and exhaustion, their gentle care enveloping you as you recovered. You felt a faint glimmer of hope as you watched your daughter sleep in your arms, her little face peaceful, untouched by the fear that had followed you for so long. For the first time, you thought you might truly be free.
But then, the peace broke, the night pierced by screams and the clash of steel. Panic surged within you as you heard footsteps rushing through the halls, the murmur of prayers abruptly silenced. Sharran chants echoed against stone walls, a sound you knew too well. Shadows poured through the sanctuary, cutting down the Selunites one by one, the scent of blood thickening in the air. You held your child closer, frantically searching for a way to flee, but it was too late.
A familiar, chilling voice sounded behind you, and your blood froze.
âThere you are,â Shadowheart murmured, her voice like silk, threaded with a dark satisfaction. She moved closer, her gaze fixed on your daughter with a haunting reverence, as if drawn by the innocent life you held. âOh, look at her⊠what a beauty youâve brought into the world.â
Her tone was deceptively soft, the twisted affection almost comforting if not for the malice that laced it. She extended a gloved hand, her fingertips grazing your daughterâs cheek with a gentleness that felt all wrong.
Instinctively, you pulled your child closer, your grip tightening, and Shadowheartâs gaze flicked to you. There was no anger, only an unsettling calm, her expression laced with twisted forgiveness.
âYou ran,â she continued, her voice almost reproachful, as if she were scolding a disobedient child. âBut itâs alright now. Youâve returned to me, to Sharâs embrace, and youâve brought with you this⊠gift.â
Your heart pounded as you struggled to muster any courage to speak, but the words choked in your throat. Around you, the once-peaceful sanctuary was littered with the fallen, the Selunites lying motionless, their sanctuary now desecrated. Shadowheartâs followers moved silently, clearing away what remained of the Selunite resistance, their faces cold, their hands stained with blood. This was their version of mercyâSharâs mercy, as Shadowheart would call it.
âAll is forgiven,â she whispered, her lips curving into a smile that was both tender and terrible. âYou see, even the Selunites now lie within Sharâs embrace. They fought so hard, didnât they?â She reached out, her fingers gently touching your cheek, her gaze softening as if this massacre were an offering just for you. âBut now, you and our child are home.â
âShadowheart⊠please,â you finally managed to whisper, desperation fraying your voice as you held your daughter close. âWe donât⊠we donât belong here. She deserves a life free of this darkness.â
Her smile faltered only for a heartbeat before she let out a soft, almost sympathetic laugh.
âNo, my love. This is the only life we deserveâShar has granted us purpose, blessed us with a future. And you were simply lost for a while, caught up in the false comforts of the light.â Her hand moved to cup the back of your head, her thumb tracing a slow, comforting path along your temple. âBut Iâve forgiven you. And now, you willl be home again, and we can forget all about this.â
Your stomach lurched, though you couldn't place why, you just had an instinctual feeling that it had something to do with your broken mind. The remnants of your defiance withered under her touch, your heart heavy with dread as you realized there was no escape. You will return to the shadows, with your child, where Shar reigned, and would serve as your babe's twisted godmother. And there was nothing you could do about it.
The realization of your pregnancy struck you like a fever. Galeâs childâthe product of the god of ambitionâs indomitable will and your own caged heartâwas growing within you. In that moment, you knew with certainty that whatever this childâs fate was meant to be, it would not unfold within Galeâs far-reaching grasp. The image of your child, bound by his ambition, molded into his vision of perfection, was enough to fuel your resolve. Determined to give your child a life beyond Gale's expectations, you tapped into your powers, cloaking yourself from his omniscient gaze and retreating into the mortal plane.
You found refuge within a hidden sect of your most devout followers, a sanctuary devoted to you in secret, where your faithful tended to your every need. You shielded them from Gale's prying eyes, weaving spells of concealment and drawing from your diminishing godly strength to protect them. You could feel Galeâs influence faintly brushing against your barriers, but for once, it was within your control. Your powers fortified with the growing life inside of you.
Months passed in tense quietude, but at last, your child was born, a tiny, fragile spark of life cradled in your arms. Your followers revered the newborn daughter, honoring the life that defied a godâs ambition and revered you for your defiance, vowing to protect this small, unknowing child. Yet as the days passed, you felt the dread looming over youâGaleâs influence was inescapable. The sense of his presence prickled at the edges of your consciousness, as if he were a shadow waiting to fall.
One evening, as you sat within the dim light of your sanctuary, you looked at your newborn, heart heavy with the choice that lay before you. You would entrust your daughter to your followers, let them raise them in secret and keep them far from the ambitions of her father. It was for her own protection, her only chance at freedom. Yet, as you gazed into your childâs innocent eyes, a new realization crept into your heart: you couldn't bear the thought of letting go.
Tears filled your eyes as the weight of your decision crushed you. How could you abandon her? The life you wanted her to liveâuntouched by divinity, free from expectationâseemed just out of reach. Sobs wracked your body as you clutched her closer, your resolve dissolving beneath the tidal wave of grief. You wanted to protect her, but giving her up felt like losing a part of yourself.
A gentle touch brushed your shoulder, and you turned, expecting to see your high priestess. But as your tear-filled gaze met familiar eyes, your breath hitched in horror.
Gale stood before you, his expression one of sympathy, yet his eyes shone with a satisfaction that was chilling. Clad in your priestessâs robes, his disguise melted away, revealing the truth you had dreaded. He had been here all along, watching, waiting for you to come to your senses.
"My love," he murmured, his voice like honeyed silk, soothing even as it constricted around your freedom, "you didnât think I would let you face this alone, did you?"
You shrank back, clutching your daughter protectively, your mind racing with fear not for yourself, but for her. His gaze drifted to the child, and you could feel his mind already shaping her future, his plans and ambitions seeping into the air around you. He placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, eyes gleaming with pride.
"Look at what youâve created," he said softly, though his words held a dark undercurrent. "Our daughter. You were merely testing my resolve, weren't you? Testing my devotion to you and to our legacy. My ambition."
The air grew thick with his presence, oppressive and unyielding, as his hand tightened ever so slightly, rooting you in place. It wasnât a requestâit was an assertion, an unyielding truth in Galeâs mind that could not be challenged. He saw your devotion wavering and offered his own hand as a reminder, his grip unbreakable. You saw in his gaze the merciless edge of his ambition, a refusal to let anythingâanyoneâbe outside of his control.
Stricken by fear, you forced yourself to nod, murmuring broken assurances.
"Yes, Gale," you whispered, voice trembling, "it was just⊠a test. I⊠I needed to be sure."
Satisfied, Gale smiled, his hand brushing your hair gently.
"Then all is well," he said, his tone rich with the contentment of victory. "Now, return to my realm, and let me help you raise our child as sheâs meant to beâshe is ours, after all."
Bound by his grip, by the weight of your followersâ lives and the fragile life of your daughter, you surrendered. He led you back, your daughter cradled against you, and you walked in silence, already haunted by the future that awaited her. You had once dreamed of freedom for her, but under Galeâs ambition, you knew that dream had faded into shadows.
The discovery of your pregnancy had shaken you to your core. The idea of raising a child under Astarion's ruleâwithin his twisted, blood-soaked worldâwas more terrifying than any threat youâd ever faced. Quietly, with every ounce of resolve you had left, youâd slipped away from him, vanishing into the shadows of the Underdark, determined to keep your child safe from his corrupted influence. Away from Astarion, youâd managed to carve out a small, hidden life for yourself, filled with the quiet joys of early motherhood. You nourished your child, watched over them, and, for a few precious months, knew peace. You allowed yourself to believe that, maybe, youâd succeeded in keeping them safe.
But that dream shattered the day you returned from gathering food, your child nestled in your arms, only to find Astarion sitting casually at the worn kitchen table, a ghostly figure of elegance against the dimly lit and modest surroundings. His crimson gaze fixed on you as he toyed with an empty goblet, his fingers tracing its rim with a nonchalant menace.
"Darling," he purred, voice dripping with amusement as he looked up at you, eyes flashing with a possessive intensity, "did you truly think I wouldnât find you?"
He laughed, a soft, dangerous sound that filled the silence. You held your child closer, feeling your heart thunder beneath your ribs as you took in the sight of him, seated in the home you had desperately tried to keep hidden. Every instinct screamed at you to run, to escape, but you knew Astarion far too well. Running now would be useless. With no other choice, you drew a shaky breath, forcing yourself to meet his gaze.
"What do you want?" you managed, voice barely above a whisper. He laughed again, standing and brushing down his pristine attire as though your question was absurd.
"What do I want?" he echoed, approaching with that chilling, gliding grace. "Isn't it obvious, my love? I came to retrieve whatâs mine." His eyes glinted with a terrible amusement as he drew closer, his gaze drifting to the child in your arms. "Now, let me see them."
When he reached out, you instinctively tightened your hold, taking a step back, your body tensing at the idea of his touch on your child. The defiance only made him smile, a mockery of indulgence flashing across his face. With a small, irritated sigh, he rolled his eyes.
"Please, my dear," he said, his tone carrying an edge of impatience. "Iâm not here to harm my heir⊠or the mother of my heir. Iâd expect a little trust."
Unwilling but with no other options, you reluctantly loosened your hold, feeling your stomach twist as he gently lifted the child from your arms. He held them with surprising care, the barest hint of a smile gracing his face as he looked down at the small bundle. A strange light entered his eyes, and for a fleeting moment, there was an almost genuine affection there, albeit twisted by his possessive pride.
"Ah," he murmured softly to the child, his voice low and soft. "Such a marvelous life awaits you, little one. An entire world, ripe for the taking⊠as soon as your mother," he glanced at you with a smirk, "comes to her senses."
You felt a prickle of fear at his words, understanding the layered meaning beneath them. You took a cautious step toward him, trying to keep your tone steady. "Astarion⊠please, they deserve a chance at a real life. Not⊠this."
His smile hardened, his gaze cutting.
"Donât be foolish," he replied, his voice like a caress tainted with steel. "A 'real life?' You were trying to raise my heir in squalor and shadows." He clicked his tongue disapprovingly, the patronizing look in his eyes making your heart sink. "Iâll forgive your little rebellion, darling, but don't presume to know what's best."
Before you could speak, you felt something, some spell overtake you, and your vision began to swim. Your legs went weak, your world turning fuzzy at the edges as you felt your consciousness slipping away. The last thing you saw was Astarionâs mocking smile, and the last thing you heard was his cool voice murmuring, "Shh, itâll all be over soon."
Darkness closed in, and when you awoke, you were back in Astarionâs palace, in his chambers, the opulence surrounding you an all-too-familiar prison. The air was thick with a sense of foreboding, of inescapable control, as though youâd never left. Disoriented, you pushed yourself up, your mind racing.
The sound of a soft coo drew your attention, and your heart leapt as you saw your child in a gilded crib nearby, eyes wide with innocent curiosity. Relief washed over youâbut only for a moment. The door creaked open, and Astarion stepped in, his gaze sweeping over you with a mixture of satisfaction and delight. He watched you for a beat, savoring the moment as you looked up at him, your eyes filled with quiet despair.
âSee?â he murmured, gesturing to the luxurious room, to the crib. âIsnât this a better life for our heir?â
You knew better than to argue, seeing the unyielding determination in his eyes. He wouldnât be swayed by your pleas or logic. Any trace of freedom youâd tasted had evaporated, replaced by a chilling realization: this was your life now, and your childâs.
Discovering you were carrying Halsinâs child had ignited a fierce urgency within you, a determination to protect them from the dark path Halsin had fallen into. Youâd once loved him deeply, but as his views became increasingly extreme, his disdain for humankind palpable, you could no longer bear the thought of raising a child under his fervent ideology. With a heavy heart, you fled, finding refuge in a small druidic grove whose members welcomed you and promised to shield you from Halsinâs reach.
Months passed, and there, surrounded by trees and healing herbs, you gave birth. The grove offered peace, and you cherished the tranquil days, breathing in the clean air as you held your child close. Youâd finally begun to believe you were safe, that your child might actually have a chance at a balanced life, away from Halsin's dominating influence. In this secluded grove, hidden away, life settled into a gentle rhythm, each day weaving hope and new beginnings.
But that illusion shattered in the dark hours of one quiet night.
The scent of smoke drifted through the air, thick and suffocating. You woke with a jolt, alarm shooting through you. Heart racing, you turned to the cot beside you, only to find it empty. A pang of panic sliced through your chest as you frantically searched the room, praying youâd somehow missed them in the dim light. But the cot remained empty, and dread clawed at your throat.
Barefoot and disheveled, you tore through the grove, ignoring the flames licking at branches, the heat scorching your skin. The acrid smell of burning wood and flesh choked you, but all that mattered was your child. You screamed their name into the chaos, your voice breaking with desperation as you stumbled over the fallen bodies of your new druid family, their lifeless forms strewn across the sacred earth.
The world around you blurred, reduced to a single, primal purposeâfind your child.
At the groveâs edge, just past the smoldering ruins of what had been your sanctuary, you saw him. Halsin stood there, towering and blood-streaked, his face framed by the firelight. Your breath caught in your throat as you took in the sight before you. In his arms, nestled against his chest, was your child, unharmed and gazing up at him in quiet wonder.
Halsin looked down at them with a serene expression, cooing softly as he rocked them gently, whispering words you couldnât make out over the roar of the flames. His hands, still stained with the blood of those who had offered you refuge, held your child as if they were the most precious treasure in the world.
Without thinking, you stumbled toward him, heart shattering as you reached for your child. He looked up, his eyes meeting yours with a strange mix of affection and pity.
âOur little one was waiting for me,â he murmured, his voice calm, almost soothing. âYou must know by nowâthis was always meant to be.â
You were shaking, your fingers numb as you took the baby from his arms, clutching them desperately to your chest as if they were your lifeline. Tears spilled from your eyes, your body wracked with silent sobs as you stared at Halsin, the man you once loved and now feared beyond measure.
âWhy, Halsin?â you choked out, voice barely a whisper. âWhy would you do this?â
His gaze softened, and he reached out, placing a hand on your shoulder with the same tenderness that had once comforted you.
âYou lost your way, my love,â he said, as if explaining something simple to a child. âBut itâs all forgiven now. You and our child are where youâre meant to be. Under my protection, with natureâs blessing. I had to save you from the lies they fed you here.â
You felt his grip tighten ever so slightly, a possessive strength beneath the facade of tenderness. His touch, once reassuring, now felt like a shackle, holding you firmly in place.
âFor the greater good,â he murmured, his voice a low, almost reverent whisper. âYouâll understand, in time.â
Your mind felt trapped, your body frozen as you held your child, and all you could manage was a shaky nod. Because deep down, you knew: there was no escaping him now. As Halsin guided you back through the charred remains of the grove, his arm wrapped protectively around you, you realized you had no choice but to submitâto the man who believed he was saving you, even as he bound you to his twisted vision of the world.
Youâd felt a bittersweet sense of liberation the day youâd finally made it out of the Grand Dukeâs clutches, a freedom carved out of sheer determination and love for the life growing within you. After months of moving cautiously, you had finally managed to reach Waterdeep, a sprawling city where you could blend into the crowds, creating a new identity for yourself and your child. Youâd found a small home, modest yet cozy, and the months after the birth of your baby were a blissful exhaustionânights spent rocking them to sleep, days filled with laughter and quiet joy. Here, Wyllâs shadow couldnât reach you, or so you thought.
One lazy afternoon, while your baby napped, exhaustion overtook you, and you drifted off on the sofa. The next thing you knew, soft cries from the nursery roused you. You sat up quickly, your heart lurching in that familiar pang of maternal worry mixed with relief; your childâs cries were already softening, and you thought perhaps theyâd just drift off again.
But as you approached the nursery, a strange, cold feeling gripped your heart. The quiet that greeted you felt unnatural, too calm, too steady. You pushed open the door and froze.
Wyll was sitting in the rocking chair, cradling your child with a gentle sway, his gaze wholly absorbed by the small bundle in his arms. He looked so at ease, as if he had always been here, always part of this quiet life you had so carefully built away from him. He was murmuring softly, his deep voice filled with adoration.
âYouâre as pretty as your mother, you know that?â he cooed, his thumb gently brushing your babyâs tiny fingers. âJust as lovely⊠just as perfect.â
A chill ran through you, dread settling in the pit of your stomach. Taking a steadying breath, you stepped forward, keeping your voice as calm as you could manage.
âWyll,â you said, your voice just above a whisper, âyou need to leave. You donât belong here.â
But Wyll didnât look up, his attention solely on the child, his child. He didnât acknowledge your wordsâonly continued to rock, a faint smile gracing his lips as he murmured to the baby.
âWe need to leave soon, darling,â he said, his tone light, almost cheerful. âWe have a carriage waiting for us, for our family.â His gaze finally drifted to you, and his eyes softened. âI know these past months have been difficult, darling. Pregnancy, childbirth⊠itâs exhausting, and sometimes it clouds the mind.â His voice was soothing, patronizing in its gentleness. âBut thatâs why Iâm here now.â
You tried again, fighting to keep your voice calm, though each word came with a barely restrained tremor.
âNo, Wyll. Iâm not going back with you. This is my home now. Our home,â you emphasized, your hand protectively reaching out for your baby. âYou need to understand that weâre not returning to your city, to your⊠rule.â
For the briefest moment, a flicker of something dark crossed his face, but it vanished as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by a sympathetic smile. He shifted the baby gently in his arms and rose from the chair, stepping toward you.
âYou poor thing,â he murmured, voice thick with faux sympathy. âSleepless nights, the overwhelming worry⊠itâs clouded your judgment. But thatâs all right. Thatâs why I came myself, to bring you home, where you belong.â
Each word cut deeper as he dismissed your pleas. He walked toward you, and you tensed, stepping back on instinct. But as you moved, the quiet rustle of armor drew your attention to the door, where two of Wyllâs royal guards stood, their stoic gazes fixed on you, blocking any hope of escape. Wyll stepped closer, his eyes warm but resolute.
âWeâve missed you. Iâve missed you.â His arms closed around you and the baby, his touch firm, unyielding, as he held both of you close. âItâs time to go home.â
You felt the tears prick at the corners of your eyes as you glanced down at your child, nestled contentedly in his arms, unaware of the tension in the room, of the silent battle being waged.
âPlease,â you whispered, voice breaking as you looked up at Wyll. âPlease let us stay. This is whatâs best for our child. Canât you see that?â
But Wyll only smiled, brushing a stray tear from your cheek. âItâs all right. Weâll have you feeling yourself again in no time. You just need rest, stability⊠me.â He lifted your chin, his gaze steady and calm. âNow, enough of these dramatics. Your carriage awaits.â
Helplessly, you watched as he signaled to his guards, his arm protectively around you as they escorted you both out. Each step away from the life you had built felt like a surrender, the world you had carved out of hope and freedom slipping further and further away.

"If they touch you, I'll kill them. It's that simple."
And another double-drabble! Astarion for @sky-lemonade ^-^
âIf the others at the camp really mean something to you, you stay away from them, understood?â
Biting your own lip, you tried to hold back the arguments and tears. Before you lay the body of one of the nice Tieflings you had talked to that evening, after theyâd been so nice to throw a celebration for your groupâs help with the goblin attack. In fact, the mirthful party was still going on behind you, none the wiser of the death that occurred just out of sight. The culprit standing right behind you.
A hand wrapped around your throat, your body stumbling back into a cold chest as Astarian rubbed his cheek against your hair, lingering for a moment to inhale you.Â
âItâs your fault,â he murmured, sending a shiver of guilt down your spine. âI told you before that if they touch you, Iâll kill them. Itâs that simple. Yet, you let this guy drool all over what is mine.â
âI didnât mean to!â you protested, weakly, Astarionâs hand gripping your throat tighter. He planted a kiss to the top of your head, a quiet warning.
âThen this will be a lesson to be more careful next time, Darling.â
Connor (Detroit Become Human) being protective (and manipulative) with his human Darling? Scaring her away from work so she spends her time with him and only him.
Sure! You did not say what route to follow so I just kept in general. Implied to be Deviant! Connor, though.
Connor was an android you had met awhile back. He worked at the police station with you and needed a place to stay after the whole Revolution. You didn't go on dangerous cases like him, mostly kept evidence and cases organized. Hank had told you that Connor enjoyed your company, so you took up the offer to allow the android into your home.
At first, things were fine. Connor was fantastic to have around the house and was nice to talk to. He always had a smile around you, offering to do chores around the house when he was off-duty.
"You have your freedom, Connor! You don't need to do housework." You'd always laugh and playfully chastise him.
"It's the least I can do to thank you for giving me a home, (Y/N). What kind of friend would I be if I didn't at least try to help?"
Connor was also shown to be protective of you when you had to go out without him, asking to come with you. That was your first red flag. The android never liked you alone.
You just thought he was being concerned, having seen danger first hand in his missions! Then it escalated. Connor began trying to convince you to stay home.
He bought your groceries and supplies. He also made sure your house had good security. You thought all of this behavior was strange. Shopping for you was fine... but why the security?
Then he asked you to quit your job.
"I can always bring in the money, (Y/N). You shouldn't need to go out there without me. What if someone hurts you?"
You ignored his requests. You even asked Hank why he could've been acting like this. Even Hank, Connor's best friend, had no idea why he insisted on you quitting.
You then tried asking the android himself, Connor, why he was doing this. Connor's eyes only fixated on you before giving you a small smile.
"I'm just looking out for you."
Everything Connor said was so vague. Like he was trying to hide his true intentions from you. That alone scared you, but you should be able to trust Connor, right?
Then you started getting weird notes and gifts. All of which pointed towards you having a stalker. This only made your fear more prominent.
It was small notes of endearment at first. Then they became more graphic. Transitioning into threats instead of compliments.
The gifts followed the same pattern. Small things like chocolate and flowers quickly became strange effigies or photos.
Connor's offer of quitting work slowly but surely seemed more appeasing.
In fact once you told him about such events, Connor's eyes widened and he looked panicked. The android then quickly sits you down with him, holding you close.
"Don't be scared, (Y/N). I'll protect you from any danger. Would you like to stay home for now?"
You finally accept his offer, despite how suspicious it was.
With surprisingly skilled manipulation, Connor gets you to trust him. He keeps you safe at home and pampers you. You claim it's unnecessary but he disagrees.
"Isn't it nice to have someone take care of you at home? Safe from the outside world where no one can hurt you?"
Perhaps it was because the android was charismatic/affable you felt safe in his arms. Even if you had your suspicions he was scaring you out of work he acted so very kind. Kind and gentle to the point you had doubts he orchestrated the stalker problem.
Even if you told him you knew it was him, he probably wouldn't let you leave anyway. He's a trusted member of the department and he keeps everything locked. You couldn't leave even if you knew he caused all this.
But why would you want to? Connor does whatever he can to care for you. Claiming to do it out of a strange 'love' for you.
Humans are fragile in a world of androids and danger. You're lucky to have Connor protect you!
He doesn't plan on letting anyone, human or android, near you anyway.
You should only need him to love and adore you since you trusted him enough to come into your home.

If this is your man, i pray for your sanity because honestly said, who the hell do you think you are? i am so sorry baby but the word âbreak upâ might be a delusion before you could even said it fully to him. You think he's already bad before? now you're gonna be tied inside his basement while his TV played out a broadcast news about your missing status. Good luck seeing his maddening face everyday every night, and being shoved with his fat fuckin' cock anytime he wants because you're gonna be a full-time sex toy for him down there. Also said, he's pretty much the type to leave bruises all over your skin just to teach you a lesson here and there.
Chris Redfield, Ethan Winters, Carlos Oliveira, Hyuga Neji, Shikamaru, Orochimaru, Sawamura Daichi, Sugawara Koushi, Miya Osamu, Lev Haiba, Capitano, Alhaitam, Kamisato Ayato.
Not gonna lie which ones crazier either its you who tried to leave him or him, but it is definitely both of you because the way you folded after he offered you a last-time sex was something else. I wouldn't blame you, he had a wanging monster down there and the fucking is just too good. You might think this is a once and for all and without knowing it, he had already slipped his condom off and just pretty much bred the shit out of you. You'd probably gonna end the night looking like a cum rag beneath him. Ah, don't be sad! he's an extremely compensating man after all, and you guys are going to be a really good and lovely parents together!
Knife on the throat. Straight up. No, not you, but him. His own self. He'd shout at you, calling you a fucking liar, a bitch, a whore who deserves nothing. His eyes teared up, between shouts he sobs, and at the end he'll beg you to not leave him, he swore he will never forgive you if you do. But if you did? several bodies of your cherished ones would be dropped right in front of your door. And no one's gonna help you, no one. But him. So get back to him, tell him you love him, and promise that you'd never leave him again (not that he'll let you, not again.)
It's been a year since the death of your husband, recently the world has been thrown into chaos for the past few days. Imagine your horror, when you find your deceased husband peacefully sleeping next to you and acting as if he didn't die.
If I were a zombie
I'd never eat your brain

PHAINON
Your husband passed away a year ago, during an accident. He truly was the love of your life, and you still think about him till this day. Back then, you used to sleep on his side of the bed just to capture the last of his scent and warmâpeople tell you to move on but how can you.
Ever since the recent changes that are going on around the world, you rarely go outside due to fear as well as for safety precautions. Honestly, you can hear phainon voice echoing through the hallâtelling you not to go outside.
But this isn't the case, because one nightâyou woke up towards... Phainon laying beside youâhe is dead. You tried to move away which stirs him awake, this phainon looks confused and tries to calm you down with the same softness he used to have.
He would not leave, this is not your husbandâhes already dead. But every time you tried to tell him, he would say "used to be dead, but now I'm back to protect you" every time when he tries to initiate intimacy, he's hands are cold and there's no pulse. Despite all his attempts to convince youâthe man that is sleeping next to you isn't your husband.
With his presence in the way, your house has been safe for quite some time. It's probably because of him scaring away any visitors who dared to come or simply him killing them, you would wake up towards your sheets being covered by blood but it was not him or yoursâhe would prevent you from going outside as well as preventing any danger coming to the house.
BLADE
Your fiancee yingxing was killed a week before your engagement and you have been trying to move on from the lost as fast as possible. Yet, every time you finally do it a sense of guilt of you leaving him behind or betraying him by seeing another man aches you in your heartâyou don't know how to move on.
Your closest friend has been telling you to be wary of going outside due to the amount of "visitors" spotting as well as the sudden changes in the atmosphere becomes much more painful knowing that you are alone and no one is there to hold you or comfort you during this time of danger.
One night you receive a night mare, of your dead fiancee coming back to life and there to haunt you. You immediately shot up from your bed, while trying to calm yourself downâyou decided to grab a glass of water. Unfortunately you weren't alone in your house, because another presence has managed to enter into your home.
You found your husband standing In the hallway in a state of confusion, as if he was a zombie but when he finally saw youâhe slowly walked up to you and sniffed. You unfortunately don't know how to react because how are you supposed to react towards seeing your husband who has been dead for a year alive again.
"yingxing" or blade has no memory of what's going on, It seems he has lost his identity as yingxing and became "blade" he doesn't remember you, but feels a sense of possessiveness and yearning from you. He would glare at any visitors who have tried to enter as well as people, he managed to get into conflict with a FEMA soldier who fired his weapon at him but blade remained unaffected and proceeded to kill the soldier. He is violent, yet gentle with you leaving you stuck in a position of whenever he's gonna kill you or not.
MYDEI
Mydei truly loves you and you also love him but unfortunately, your marriage with him didn't last long because he was killed one night while getting pastries from your favourite bakery as a fun way to surprise you. The killer remains unknown till this day, and it leaves you a wound in your heart unfinished as well as unfulfilled longing for his presence.
Your in-laws decided to let you stay over the Vila as a way to get away from everything that happens as a way to help you cope with your grief as well as a way to show their support towards you. Which has been helping you a lot, since there's a photo album of mydei that helps you rest better at night.
You are wary by the current situation of the world as well as for your loved ones, calling your in-laws and family to check in on them making sure they are okay as well as unharmed during this time of global crisis but recently you have been losing contact with your in-laws. You are capable of protecting yourself, mydei have taught you the basics of self defense as well as learning how to use a shotgun to defend yourself.
One day, during the night you accidentally let in a visitor with youâa fight starts between you and the visitor. Before it can cause any more harm, a large silhouette has entered through the living room door and killed the intruder... That silhouette belongs to you... Husband? The one that is dead.
Mydei manages to maintain his sense of identity yet isn't aware that he himself is a visitor or remember he is dead, he scolds you saying that he was worried about you and how he travelled around to find you. It seems that he also killed his parents, which is why you lose contacts. You tried to run but he pulled you back to his embrace, not letting you go from his gripâ you lost him and now he is not willing to let you go.
FLINS
Flins was nothing more but a dear towards you, he was the lover you ever wanted in every lifetime. He was romantic giving you flowers every week, he is attentive towards your needs and sadness. Every time you are upset he can easily spot it and light your day up, he is like a moon that guides you through the darkness. Unfortunately, he sadly passed away a year due to hypothermia
His passing leaves a wound deep in you and a wave of loneliness. The life that you and him planned together has ended in over the past few months, you miss his touch and also his voice. You immediately cry when you realize you started to forget what he sounds like, you are in a dark place without your moon or the sense of hope.
Recently the changes of the world have you grow more isolated, the only companion you have was your cat. You would always double check whether or not that you lock the door as well as close to blinds to brush off the feeling of visitors coming in, making them believe the house is empty or abandoned.
One night, your cat decided to cause mischief and run out to the dark night. You immediately chase towards the last companion you have which is stupid but how are you supposed to cope, that cat was given to you by flins but now you are lost in the dark forest without anybody and a flash light that sooner or later loses its battery. When you were trying to navigate your way out, you unfortunately encountered a visitor and believed it was your last day and you silently accepted your fate.
But before the visitor could attack you, a cold hand covers your eyes protecting you from the sight that is happening. A familiar voice told you not to open your eyes until he allows it, and you obliged because the voice is similar towards flins. When you are finally allowed to open your eyes, you are met with the eyes of your dead beloved... Flins.
CHILDE
Childe or ajax has always been careless about his life which in the end cost him dearly, because he died due to it. He left you as a widow who has to watch your husband die because of his own desire for the thrill and you were forced to be a bystander which upsets and causes you to hate him. Was he not thinking about you, or was he even thinking in the first place.
The world has been changing recently, entities taking the form of your love have been coming and knocking your door wanting shelter with the intention of killing you, not to mention how resources have been scattered as well as how the weather has been dangerous to come offâcausing you to suffer loneliness more.
You hated your husband's stupidity as well as careless nature, leaving you alone in this world. He truly did love you but he loves the feeling of danger more, he wants the feeling of adrenaline and not the feeling of security. He is simply unable to live the life of mundanity, because that's suffering for him.
One night, you hear the noise of window shattering and a person walking around. You prepared yourself to face your intruder but was met with the one and only ajax. Ajax immediately rushed towards you checking if you were infected as well as for any injuries, while you just stood there stunt.
Childe or ajax seems to be fully aware that is a visitor and he would not stop apologizing for everything, he's been nothing but a bad husband's to you and putting his needs about yours. He is caressing your face and his cold lips press against your cheek, he truly does miss you. Don't worry, he was given a second chance and he would use this time to protect you from the world.
ZHONGLI
Zhongli was consultant for a funeral but was unfortunately killed by a grieving family member of one of his clients, he would simply just mind his business making sure everything is in line as well as proper for the client yet he was attacked for simply being there. He died the same day that his client was buried.
The family member that killed him was arrested but unfortunately no amount of years of that person's life is taken, it's simply not enough with the life that you and zhongli have planned and dream off. Every night you would dream of him, as well as hoping that it's a bad night mare.
Hu tao and Xiao are your adoptive kids so you are struggling a lot protecting them as well as keeping a wall for yourself not to mention ever since the changes of the world and how the government advised everyone to stay indoors it seems as if nowhere is safe for your children and you. You often have to keep vigilance as well as advising your kids to not open the door.
Recently, hu tao has been jumping around and saying that daddy is Alive which is not true because your husband has already been dead. You didn't think much, thinking it was a way for hu tao to cope but by Xiao reaction you don't know whether or not hu tao is lying or not...
You woke up suddenly one night due to the sound of your children happily playing while also hearing a voice that you almost forgot, you carried a shotgun with you afraid that it might be an intruder or a visitor so when you open the door towards your children bedroomâyou are met with the face of your deceased husband reading a story book about "the wolf and seven young goats" you are frozen in shock yet "zhongli" rise up from his sit and grab your hand leading you towards your children "how have you been my love" not phased at all by your reaction.
Synopsis: Your boss takes on Gojo Satoru as his newest client. Much to your relief, he doesn't seem to recognize you.
(Warnings: noncon, dubcon, rough sex, oral sex, bullying, harassment, one mention of choking, penetrative sex, afab!reader, coercion, forced relationships, implied baby trapping attempt, hint of pregnancy kink)
You wanted to quit the second you read the name.Â
You should have. It would have been so easy to hand in your two weeks, tell your boss that you just couldn't. Or maybe you could have convinced one of the other paralegals to take your place.Â
It's pathetic. Almost a decade had passed and you still felt yourself slink into the girl you once were, rolling under his thumb, utterly helpless. You should be better than that. You worked so hard to reach where you are now.Â
You were different now, you told yourself over and over again. You were older, smarter. Besides, it'd been a decade, would he even remember you?
It's Higuruma who notices your restless fingers. You shouldn't have underestimated him, despite how exhausted he looks, nothing goes past your boss. He asks about it when you two are seated in a beige room, waiting for the client.Â
"Is everything alright?"Â
You're still staring out the window. How high were you? 16 stories, maybe even higher. Resentment, you can feel it rise up your throat, build throughout your body. Of course, he has fancy cars, pretty buildings, and limitless money. Men like him will never know what it's like to have nothing. All men were born equal. What a fucking joke.Â
Higuruma shifts, and you jolt out of your thoughts. "Yes," you console, "apologies, I'm just tired."Â
The lawyer hums, and you're not sure if he believes you or not. Before he can say anything, the frosted doors open. The rest of the legal team comes in, sitting at the long table you and Higuruma inhabited.Â
He comes in last. He'd always had a liking for theatrics.Â
Not much had changed within a decade. He was taller, bigger. He'd switched out of his high school uniform, opting for something more business-friendly. He still made heads turn. Became the center of attention.Â
It's his smile that throws you. Sincere, real. Lingering on his face like extravagant jewelry. Hard not to notice.Â
You react better than you anticipated. You don't shake or tremble or cry when he passes you. You just squeeze your fists, bunching your skirt in your palm. It helps.Â
He sits down, right at the end, so everyone can see him. One foot elegantly crossed over the other. When he tilts his head, his soft white hair threatens to shift over brilliant blue eyes.Â
"Well, I'm sure you don't need me to explain why we're all here." A few chuckles resonate from the small group. "Let's just do our best and hope nothing gets too out of hand."
His eyes slide over to meet yours, and you steel yourself for his eyes to widen. For something wicked and cruel and nasty to sink into his face.Â
Nothing.Â
Gojo Satoru maintains that same smile. The blaring sun. Painfully innocent. His gaze lasts barely a second before moving to the next face, and the next, and the next.Â
"I look forward to working with all of you."Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
đ€
If you could describe Gojo Satoru in one word, it would be: celestial.Â
He's like a shining star. Brighter than the sun. Everywhere he went, he was bound to attract attention. Much like how the Earth is drawn towards the sun, people are drawn towards Gojo Satoru. It's the natural order.Â
But, if an insignificant planet resists the Sun's gravitational force, it'll get crushed. You learned this the hard way.Â
Gojo had always been in your class for years. The third year was no different. Despite the commonality, you two never talked to each other. You had no reason to. Until the vending machine gave you two cartons, and you suddenly remembered from an overheard conversation that Gojo liked chocolate milk too.Â
"Want it?" You hold it out to him during lunch break. He was in the middle of a boisterous conversation with his friend. They did intimidate you, but you had no reason to be scared. It's not like they were bullies.
Gojo's sunglasses dip down. He eyes what you're holding in your hand, before his gaze drifts back up to you.Â
"The machine gave me extra," you supply, "do you want it?"Â
"Oh, sure," he says after a moment. Your hands brush. "Thanks."Â
You nod, and then you walk back to the cafeteria. It was meaningless. A favor between acquaintances. He was helping you more than you helped him. You didn't want to carry chocolate milk around in your backpack. You forgot about the interaction within a few hours.Â
đ€
The meeting ends hours later. When you stumble home, it's barely evening but you can still feel the stress creeping through your legs and arms.Â
You go straight to your laptop. Fumbling through the keyboard, desperate, searching.Â
He's famous. Of course, he is. In his mid-twenties, but already a multi-millionaire. The head of an extremely elite family. Your eyes scan picture after picture after picture. Photos of him drinking with models in skimpy bikinis. Fancy cars. Huge houses. Private jets. Gojo Satoru: the man behind Gojo Co., Gojo Satoru and supermodel Menza hinted at relationship, Gojo Satoru, Gojo Satoru, Gojo Satoru, Gojo Satoru.Â
You pull away when it starts to burn, when the rage and sorrow become too much. He has everything. Everything he could want. He made you go through hell for months, and yet he never got punished for it. The universe rewards him with lavishness you'd never be able to touch.Â
It's not fair. It's not fair. It's not fucking fair.Â
Through your blinds, the sun happily shines.Â
đ€
You don't notice it until it becomes painfully unbearing.
Gojo calls you by your name now (until that day you bet he didn't even know you existed). He's like a ghost, constantly appearing out of nowhere to sling an arm around your shoulder, eager to chase off any of your friends to talk to you about things that don't matter.
He constantly offers to walk you home (and then Gojo ignores your refusals and does it anyway). It stays like that for a few days, never bordering beyond friendliness. You think he's harmless. Maybe he just hasn't had someone genuinely do a nice favor for him. Besides, you're flattered by the attention. Even you can be swayed by the pull of Gojo Satoru. It feels nice to be wanted.Â
You reason it'll just be for another week. A week later, you two will be nothing but acquaintances, sometimes exchanging quick smiles during class.Â
It doesn't truly dawn on you as to what he's doing until he comes out and says it.Â
"What?" Because you must have misheard him.Â
"We should," he says, not even bothering to repeat himself, "I mean, we're practically dating already. Let's just make it official."Â
You stare at him. As always, he's utterly beautiful. The light of the setting sun makes his skin glow gold. Whenever he's walking you home is one of the rare times he removes those sunglasses. His eyes are like jewels, pretty things that you wish were yours.Â
You laugh. It's high and panicky because you still think he's joking. He doesn't laugh with you. You stop.Â
"Oh-oh, I'm sorry Gojo-I wasn't-I didn't think. I'm just not...interested in dating anyone right now. It's not you! I think-I think you're great, but it's just the wrong time, and school is getting so much busier and-" you keep rambling, coming up with excuse after excuse because you're convinced Gojo would cut you off with an awkward laugh, tell you it's fine.Â
He doesn't do either, letting your flounderings get more and more pathetic. His smile had dropped. You can't read his expression anymore.Â
Eventually, you grow quiet, standing with him in that silence. When that gets too much, you timidly tell him to have a goodnight and walk home. He doesn't follow, staying rooted to the sidewalk where you left him. You're not running away, you tell yourself over and over again. And yet, you can't help but feel relief as soon as you can't feel his eyes.Â
Don't resist the Sun. It'll crush you.Â
đ€
It was something minuscule.Â
Barely considered legal work. The case would most likely be finished in a couple of weeks. The defendant had nothing on Gojo Satoru, at least from what you and the other paralegals could see. You highly doubted it would even go to court. Higuruma always had a knack for bringing anyone to the table. Gojo would be let off from whatever he did without a hitch. No punishment. Just like always.Â
"Word of advice, don't think about what happens in the private sector,"Â Higuruma says, over whiskey.Â
The firm was celebrating another victory at a fancy bar. You were still stewing over the face of that young woman's face when the judge ruled in your client's favor. She looked heartbroken. You can still remember the sleazy smile your client had given her.Â
"It's a job," he says, "do it. Boost your resume, and get out."Â
He takes another dainty sip of his glass. Tonight, the circles underneath his eyes seem even darker. "You're a young kid. Do something else with your life."Â
When he offers to buy you a round, you accept. You think about that night sometimes, and you wonder if Higuruma wished someone else would have given him that advice when he was younger.Â
Do the job, and get out. Easier said than done. Especially when the job involved Gojo Satoru.Â
Associating with him was dangerous, you knew that firsthand, especially when he was interested in something you had. You'd left, but that wouldn't save you. The space of decades would not help.Â
Burn Gojo once, he won't forgive you. Burn Gojo twice? You don't think there's anyone alive who did that.Â
Over the coming days, you expect something from him. It's a nagging feeling in your stomach. The delayed response to a gunshot. Dread. You expect him to snap. Push. Break.Â
He never does. Gojo remains pliant, the same to you as he remains to your boss. There's no additional touching, no disgusting nicknames, no scathing looks. Nothing.Â
You don't get the confirmation until a week later, when Gojo stops you near the elevator.Â
"Higuruma's...assistant, right? Sorry, never got your name," he says, and you steel yourself because the two of you are alone and here it comes but if you yell loudly enough maybe-
"He asked for some paperwork, and I finally found it for him." Gojo hands you a stack of sheets with a cheery smile. "You won't mind giving that to him, will ya? Thanks!"Â
Just as quickly as he arrives, he leaves, shoes clicking down the hall as he goes. You can only stare at his rescinding back, the palpable feeling of relief nearly making your knees buckle.Â
The best news you could have possibly received. Gojo Satoru had completely forgotten about you.Â
When you got home later that evening, the rain was heavy, and the sun was nowhere to be seen.Â
đ€
You don't have proof it was him.Â
It's unjust to accuse people of things they didn't do. You lack any evidence. It could have easily started by itself. You'd always been meek and timid. People were bound to take advantage of that.Â
But the timing was just too perfect for it to not be caused by him.Â
In the weeks following the incident with Gojo, school went from tolerant to hell. It started small, at first. Tiny. Unoticable. Insignificant. Some people (Gojo's lackeys, you'd later realize), would nudge you as they passed you by the halls. They apologized, mid-laugh, and in the beginning, you truly thought they were sincere. Then, the nudges turned into pushes, then shoves. That's when you knew you had a target on your back.Â
At first, you found it kind of hard to believe. Bullying? It sounded so childish. Something reserved for petty middle schoolers. You were in your final year of high school. You were already an adult. You laughed it off, for a bit. Mostly because it was so ridiculous. Only when it starts becoming more severe, more apparent that you were his target, do you start taking things more seriously.
There was no proof, but everyone knew it was Gojo. And being on Gojo's bad side wasn't something people were willing to risk. One by one, your friends started to disappear, reducing their involvement by sending strained smiles during passing period. The more stubborn ones who were more adamant about staying by your side were chased away too. They'd skip school for a few days, before coming back and completely ignoring you.
Teachers and staff were no help either. Why would they? Gojo's family held them in the palm of their hand. The most your homeroom teacher would do was avert his eyes whenever something was thrown at you for the third time in class, and quietly remind students to settle down.Â
You fell on the ground with an embarrassing thump. A chorus of laughter, and a mocking 'sorry' is all you hear from the crowd. Other students step over your scattered papers, giving you looks of sympathy but never bothering to help. You'd call them cowards, but you know you'd do the same.
Instead, you focus on collecting your papers. You avoid the lump in your throat. The tears that threaten to break over your waterline. It's humiliating, being stuck on the floor like this. It's only Wednesday, but you already feel like breaking.
Hands, scarred, move past you, collecting the rest of the sheets. His face is carefully blank as Geto Suguru neatly tucks his share all in one piece before handing it to you. You give your thanks. He ignores it.Â
âAre you hurt?â Geto asks, his voice barely loud enough to hear.
You think you scrapped your knee during the fall, but other than your pride, you're fine. You shake your head. Geto sighs. It's not out of relief.
âThat's good,â he says anyway.
You found it ironic that Gojo's best friend is the only one who bothers to help you these days. It makes sense, in a way. It's not like he'll send his goons to Geto, instead. In this solar system, Geto Suguru is the only person unaffected by Gojo's solar flares.Â
You work in relative silence, collecting the mess that fell out of your bag. Geto hands you the last of the supplies, idly watching as you tuck them away.
âTake my advice,â he says just before he leaves, âgive in.â
He stands up. Geto Suguru has always been taller than you, but now the difference feels even worse. When he looks down at you, a flicker of pity lingers in his eyes. It's gone before it can mean anything.Â
âIt'll only get worse from here if you don't.â
Worse, he had said. God, what could be worse? You were already at rock bottom. All you have left is your dignity. Something you intend on gritting your teeth to keep.
You quickly learned something about Geto Suguru: he knew his best friend.Â
Friday. The end of the worst week of your life has finally arrived. The week after is break, and then maybe Gojo will move onto some other hyperfixation, and finally leave you alone.
Classes were out. You were done, free to run home and cry the entire week away. And then, you noticed, your locker was open.
Smashed in, was a better term. Completely, irrevocably, destroyed. It looked like someone had taken a wooden bat to repeatedly smash in the metal until it cracked open like an egg.Â
You don't want to look, but you have to. The busted door is barely hanging on its hinges when you push it open.Â
It's worse than anything you could think of.Â
Your books, textbooks, journals, are all torn apart and written on. All the contents of your bag have been thrown around. Your assignments, your notes, your pens and pencils. But it's your laptop that makes your throat stop. Smashed, broken without any hope of being salvageable. Your everything was in there. Why why why would he do this to you?Â
This wasn't bullying.Â
This was abuse.Â
Fuck pride. Fuck dignity.
You were so tired.Â
Despite the hell his lackeys put you through. Gojo Satoru himself never bothered you. In fact, you hadn't seen him all week. He doesn't make himself impossible to find. You know where his group hangs out after school. You're barely holding yourself together when you hear his voice. His pretty laugh. You don't care about how you look, close to breaking, your voice high-pitched and shaky.Â
"Why?"Â
Your voice catches his attention. He falls into silence, just like the rest of the group. Gojo surveys you for a moment. There's a scoff, a hint of amusement before he waves off the rest of the group.Â
"Get lost."Â
They comply, dispersing in multiple directions. For the first time, in a long while, you and Gojo are left alone. You and Gojo are left, alone.Â
"Well?" he tilts his head, completely bored.Â
"What do I have to do?" You ask desperately, "What-what do I have to do to make this all stop? Please I'll-I'll do anything, just-just make it-"Â
It's all too much. You can't hold your sobs in, bursting into tears as you fumble through your words. He tuts in mock pity. You flinch when you feel his hand against your cheek, but he doesn't let you shy away.Â
"Anything?" He asks when your sobs simmer into hushed whimpers, "Really? Anything?"Â
You blink, looking up at him with rough teary eyes. He's grinning, wide and manic. Your heart drops when he lowers himself to whisper in your ear.Â
"Anything, right?"Â
You nod once. He sighs in pure delight. His breath tickles your cheek.Â
"Get on your knees."Â
You jerk back, but Gojo doesn't let you go far, a hand on your shoulder, keeping you rooted on the spot. At your look of pure panic, he only laughs a little.Â
"I-I-Gojo you-"Â
"And call me Satoru now. Since we're gonna get to know each other a lot better," he interrupts with a chiding grin, ignoring your wide eyes. "What? I thought you said anything, right?"Â
He's asking, but it's clear you don't get a choice anymore. His grip on your shoulder is tight, close to crushing skin and bone. You're trapped. No, you were trapped the moment you talked to Gojo Satoru.Â
To think this all started because of two cartons of chocolate milk.Â
You relent when his grip gets too painful, sinking down to your knees. The grass is cool, and you know it will leave damp spots on your skirt, letting everyone know what you did for him.Â
"Good girl," he coos, and you shudder at his hand petting your hair. Like you're some precious pet. To him, maybe you are. How could anyone think of treating a human like this? You should be grateful he does it for you, instead of demanding you to pull him out. Still, the jiggle of his belt makes you wince. You turn away, not being able to bring yourself to look. Only when the tip of his cock reaches your peripheral, do you look back. It's big. You should have expected it, considering his height. It's already leaking, a bead of precum that makes you shudder. He moves forward and you instinctively grip his thigh.Â
"Gojo I-"Â
"Nuh-uh. Satoru," he ununciates, "Satoru. You gotta' start listening to me baby, or else we're gonna have problems."Â
You look down at the grass. Green, soft.Â
"Satoru."Â
His eyes flash in satisfaction.Â
"Open up, pretty girl."Â
The last of your fight disappears, sinks into the soft grass. You swallow, once, before you take him. It's a slow, torturous process. He's too big, your jaw is already starting to ache. Satoru barely notices your discomfort, sighing in contentment when you start to gag on his cock, reaching down to tuck a lock of hair behind your ear.Â
You make a muffled gurgle and he tilts his head down. His sunglasses fall forward, two pretty eyes stare at you.Â
"What? Don't act like this is your first time-" he stops himself, mid-thought.Â
"Wait...this can't be your first time, right?"Â
If you weren't humiliated enough. You can't even lie, averting your eyes to avoid any further shame.Â
"Poor baby," Satoru says, all too delighted, "lemme' walk you through it. Gotta' suck on it, just like a lollipop-that's it-use your tongue," he encourages, still gripping his cock in his hand, like he was feeding it to you.Â
You can feel your mouth open wider. Tears stream down your face, not just from your pride, but also from pain. Satoru lets you take him in like this for a few more moments, just enjoying your warm mouth.Â
"There we go," he breathes, "take-fuck-take all of me."Â
But Satoru isn't known for his patience. You've barely taken all of him in yet before he grabs your hair to fuck your throat properly. You choke, sputtering all over his cock. He barely pays you any mind, his head thrown back as he rams himself down your mouth without a care in the world.Â
"Y'know, our first time together could-could have been nicer," he says through gritted teeth, the heat was starting to get to him, "but you just had to go and mess it up, huh?"Â
If you were stronger. If you were braver. You would have rejected it. Screamed. Fought. At the very least, you would have denied his delusions. But you weren't strong. You weren't brave. You were weak. Stupid. This was all your fault. Had you just given in the moment he asked, this wouldn't be happening to you. Or maybe, he'd be a bit nicer about it.Â
He hisses, gripping the back of your head before something warm and disgusting fills your mouth. Above you, Satoru lets out a shameless groan, a mix of your name as well as a curse. He releases you then, finally letting you sink to the floor. You fall forward, resting on your hands and knees, panting, trying to regain your breath, some semblance of sanity. You can still taste him. It's salty, a sickly tang. You spit as much as you can on the grass. It doesn't help.Â
He kneels, getting down to your level. With the way he's silently watching you, you know he's waiting for the right answer this time.Â
Don't resist the Sun. It'll crush you.Â
So, you drop your gaze down. You take in a deep long stilted breath.Â
"Yes, Satoru," you say, voice quiet, pliant, "I'll go out with you."Â
His demeanor drops in just a second. He smiles, painfully innocent, like you hadn't spent the last few moments choking on his cock. He cups your face with both hands and you wonder how he could look at you like that, gently, as though you weren't covered in tears and his cum.Â
(You still feel it drip down your mouth. Tonight, when he finally lets you go home you'll cry for hours in the shower, hoping the water will wash away all the shame you feel. It won't.)
"Finally!" He exclaims, laughing, light, happy, elated, "I'm so glad you finally came around. I was starting to think I was ugly or something."Â
You stay like that for a while. Underneath him. You let his hands run up and down your body, like he's feeling the space that makes up you. Soon, you'd realize Gojo Satoru liked to touch things that were beneath him. A thought muddles it's way through your numb brain. You bring yourself to look at him.Â
"Satoru?" you ask. He sighs in satisfaction, stroking your hair.Â
"My laptop...it's broken."Â
You didn't know what else to say. It sounded accusatory, even to your ears. Righteous. You wondered if he heard it too, if he'd do something about it.Â
Satoru only scoffs.
âthat old thing?â You flinch. It was a gift from your aunt, you highly doubted he cared enough about the sentimental. He hugs you closer, almost like a snake, constricting you within its scales before it devours you.Â
(You think the worst part is that he didn't even deny it.)
âI'll just get you a new one, baby.â
He walks you home later that evening. When he demands a kiss, you comply, numbly pressing your aching lips to his.Â
The sunset is pretty today.Â
đ€
It's not a particularly hard case, but Gojo has a knack for keeping those who work for him busy. Higuruma had asked you to stay behind, once again. The two of you were stuck alone in the office building, a room that Gojo had graciously supplied.Â
You were milling through a stack of papers when someone new walked in. You didn't recognize her. She was tall, pretty, sparkling jewelry littered her neck and wrists. Your eyes drifted up and down her outfit, something that definitely wasn't business-appropriate. A part of you wants to ask where she got that lipgloss from.Â
"Oh," she tilts her head, surveying the two of you with pretty eyes, "is Sato not here?"Â
You inwardly cringe at the nickname, but choose not to show it. Higuruma is the one who saves you, in the end. He speaks on both of your behalf.Â
"Mr. Gojo isn't here at the moment," he says, "feel free to wait."Â
She does as she's told, plopping down on a seat right next to her. Higuruma goes back to ignoring her, dutiful in everything like he always is. You, on the other hand, don't like the way some of the other associates eye her legs. When you wordlessly hand her your jacket, she gratefully accepts.Â
"Thanks. I love your bag, by the way," she cheerily says and a part of you feels bad for her.Â
Minutes pass. She crosses her legs and then uncrosses them. When she crosses them again, you have to look up from your paperwork and ask if she's feeling alright.Â
"Just nervous," she admits, "I-I haven't seen Sato since our...last meeting."Â
Everyone in the vicinity knows this wasn't a casual business meeting, you don't get why she's avoiding the elephant like that. Probably to save face. It's clear from her behavior that she wasn't expecting so many visitors, so perhaps this situation is new for her. You found it strange that a booty call would be called up to an office building, especially when people were clearly watching, but you doubted Mr. Gojo cared about that. He was always shameless in that regard, uncaring about anyone's reputation, even his own. That's why he's in this legal mess in the first place. Besides, you were part of Gojo's Satoru's legal team. Part of your job is to be discreet about his extracurricular affairs.Â
Gojo Satoru hadn't changed at all since high school. Why would he? His personality has gotten him this far, after all. The Sun would never change, it's a constant sphere of fire. You wouldn't want him to change. You were banking on his stagnant nature to slip by. You couldn't imagine if he did change, improve himself, and realize how horrible he'd been to you. How would you be able to keep yourself together if he pulled you aside one day and tried to apologize? You'd break. Things are better the way they are now. Let Gojo Satoru indulge himself in all this lavishness, forgetting about the people he's tortured. It's better this way.Â
You glance over at the girl. She's young, maybe a couple of years younger than you. You can see the flush on her cheeks. The clear swooning. A part of you wonders what she'd think about that man if you ever told her what he did to you. What a monster he is-
"There you are!" Mr. Gojo strides in, just as silent as always, making himself known when he wants to.Â
The girl jumps up, her eyes lighting up in pure excitement as she practically drags herself into Mr. Gojo's arms. He places an arm on the small of her back, scarily close to touching somewhere inappropriate as she chatters away. They disappear off to wherever rich men like him go.Â
It's so quick. You must have imagined it because, for a second, you were sure he'd glanced back at you.Â
đ€
By now, everyone knows you're Satoru's. That means, like him, you're untouchable.Â
You're not celestial. If Satoru was a star, then you were a stray meteor he'd found hurtling through space, and he couldn't resist forcing it to revolve around him. In exchange for suffering through his solar flares and radiation, he protects you from bigger planets that are all too eager to smash into you. The one relief is that no one seems to bother you anymore. You haven't been shoved around, pushed, or prodded. Sometimes, you receive glares from Satoru's old ex's, but it's more tolerable than burnt homework.Â
Satoru has officially chased away all your friends, but he's more than happy to keep you company. You sit next to him in lunch now, quietly listening as he prattles on to the rest of his friends (you recognize some of them, the ones who messed with you, they never seem to hold your gaze for long). You used to study on campus alone, right after school let out. Now, you still do it, but with Satoru watching. It's hard to concentrate with his wandering fingers and wet lips.Â
He takes all of your firsts. You don't give them to him, much less, he demanded it of you. The first time he fully takes you is far less romantic than you'd ever hoped. It was on his bed after he'd practically dragged you over to his house that night. You went home the next day covered in marks that took nearly a week to heal. A little while after that, Geto came to talk to you again. For the second time ever.Â
"Here." He offers you a packet. Pills. You're confused for a moment until you realize Satoru didn't wear a condom.Â
"Thank-"Â
"Don't," he cuts you off, "Don't thank me."Â
He says it with so much hate that you think it's directed at you. It isn't until years later that you realize the disgust was towards himself.Â
There are theories that the Moon once had color.Â
It wasn't just white. It was green and blue, and red. 70 million years ago, it could have been much like the Earth. It didn't have a strong atmosphere, however. The gaseous layer was slowly stripped away. The sun didn't help. With no atmosphere, the unfiltered solar radiation slowly began to bleach the once colorful celestial body a dull white. Before long, the sun had created the moon to be its image. Now, the only color the moon has to offer is the sun's reflection.Â
When the moon was out, you often stared at it, reveling in its beauty. Now, trapped in between Satoru's arms, you find its skeleton a bit too haunting to look at.Â
Three more weeks. Just three more weeks.Â
Graduation is coming up soon. You already had your college picked out, far far away from this backward town. From his conversations, Satoru was planning on going to some high-end college in Tokyo. With the way he kept looking back at you, you had a feeling he was planning on dragging you there too.Â
You were intelligent enough to keep your mouth shut about your plans. Satoru never asked, so you guessed he assumed you would let him bully you into whatever he wanted. He was right, so far. It's not like you'd ever argued with him.Â
Your parents were the only people who knew about your plan. They were excited, albeit for the wrong reasons.Â
"I'm so glad to see you're this interested in higher education," your mother beamed, "why the sudden change?"Â
You look at your mother's face. People have told you that you share the same smile. You wonder if she'd keep smiling if you ever told her about what Satoru's been doing to you, the bullying, the harassment.Â
You can't. You won't, because you can't bear to see her give you the same pitiful look your classmates give-the one Geto gives. You don't want her to see you as something broken.Â
"I'm just starting to think I might go into law," you finally say, "definitely need college for that."
On Thursdays, you have to sit inside the gym during Satoru's basketball practice. You wait on the bleachers, reviewing notes, and listening to the squeaking of sneakers. Satoru's good at the sport. You know last year they won a few tournaments. Whenever he scores a point, he gives a cheer, turning back to see if you saw it too. In those moments, you remember he's just a kid. He's your age. You can feel the envy. There, but too insignificant to do anything. He pleasantly lives his childhood, even after he stole yours.Â
Practice ends, always a little later than it's officially supposed to. Coach gives the final whistle and then Satoru is jogging back to you. Your things are already neatly packed into your bag. His breath is barely ragged, you can smell the hint of sweat as he kisses you on the lips. You can feel eyes on you, same as always. It's getting easier to ignore the gawking. After all, you're Satoru's now.Â
"Miss me?" he asks when he pulls away. He grabs your stuff before you can, hauling your backpack away. To others, it may look like he's being a sweet boyfriend. To you, it's another leash, tugging you to where he wants to go. You're not sure how Satoru sees the action.Â
You clamber out of the bleachers, following him without a word. Usually, Satoru would walk you home. You'd share a kiss with him on the front porch. And for the rest of the day, he'd finally leave you alone.Â
He grabs your hand, shooting you a wink when you lightly jostle into his body. Instead of heading out the door, Satoru turns his gaze towards the empty locker rooms. The light's automated. It flickers an unsettling white, casting a sick glow along the tiles. You are barely through the door before Satoru's pinning you against the lockers, kissing you as aggressively as he can.Â
Your hands immediately find their way to his shoulders, squeezing. It's not enough to hurt him, but it grabs his attention anyway. He lets up a little, relaxing into your touch.Â
"Sorry, baby," he says not sounding apologetic at all, "just be good f'me, okay? Need you."Â
He's pent up, you realize and you look at the door. School's out. The campus is nearly empty. But people are still around. And the door he just shoved you through doesn't have a lock-Â
Oh, wait. Would it even matter if someone came in and saw you? Everyone knew you were Satoru's.Â
Three more weeks. Just three more weeks.Â
He's trailing down, dropping to his knees. He flips up your skirt, pushing aside your panties, and attaches his hot mouth to your pussy. He's ravenous, today. Sucking on your clit like he can't bear to do anything else. You gasp, immediately assaulted by the shocks of pleasure running up and down your back.
You press against the wall, arching your back, giving him even more to suck on. He hums in approval, his voice getting lost in your wet folds. You're practically dripping now, and Satoru, with all his debauchery, gladly licks it all up as you writhe and whimper above him. Your thighs grow tighter around him, threatening to crush his skull if both his hands weren't carved into the fat of your thighs, squeezing.Â
Your initial panic is washed away, crumbled by his insistent tongue and fingers. You whimper out his name again as his tongue circles your clit and two fingers continue to move in and out of your sopping pussy. You're crying now, tears of pleasure and brokenness floating down your cheeks. Despite how blurry your vision is, you can see Satoru looking up at you.Â
"Getting close?" he's breathless, but there's still a hint of playfulness in his voice, "gonna sing, pretty girl?"Â
He gives a particularly hard suck on your clit and you're gone. You seize, throwing your head back as your legs shake from the force of your orgasm. It's a scream, so loud and shameless. Satoru gives a groaned pant, lapping up your aftertaste, making you jolt from the overstimulation before he finally gets to his feet. You watch as he haphazardly wipes the remnants of you with his sleeve before he's kissing you again.Â
"Always so sweet f'me," he purrs, biting at your lips before he fumbles with his belt. His cock is already red and strained. He pants, head shifting to fall at the crook of your neck as he lines himself up and sinks into you with one full thrust.Â
You whine a mix of a sob and a hissed moan. He hushes you with a stilted breath, barely keeping himself together as he pumps himself into you. Both of you are sweating now. You can feel the beads draw down your neck. He licks at your clavicle, biting when he starts to get more aggressive. When it's too less, he hikes your thigh over his waist, keeping it there so he can go even deeper.Â
"Fuck, I'm crazy for you," he slurs against your skin. You can barely pay attention to his words, barely keeping your own voice in check, "âwould do anything for you, pretty girl."Â
He raises his head, looking you in the eye. His sunglasses have been tossed on the floor. You can his beautiful eyes, two cosmic galaxies of blue. You could stare at them for hours, discovering each variant of cerulean, naming each one. You bet each day you look, you'll find another shade. They're so pretty.
You wonder how pretty those eyes would look floating in a jar.Â
"'Toru-!" you gasp when Satoru rocks himself into again, even faster. The name you accidentally gave him when you're too fucked out to comprehend language makes him laugh in pure delight, his smile uncontrolled, delirious.Â
"Right here, baby," he moans into your sweaty skin, hand reaching down to rub your clit, "your âToru's right here. Just where you need him."Â
His fingers move under your shirt, squeezing at your tits, exploring, roughly grabbing at your chest. The sensation makes you wince. Your walls draw even tighter, choking his cock.Â
"Too-too much, 'Toru, p-please." He growls at your begging, burying his face in your neck again. He nips at your damp skin, you flinch.Â
"I gotcha' baby," he breathes, "just-just lemme-" He presses on your clit. It's all you need.Â
You come with a sob, your pussy squeezing, milking Satoru for all he's worth. He's not too far behind, hips stuttering before he whines in your ear. Something warm fills your cunt.Â
You flounder, sagging against the wall. Satoru's the only thing that keeps you upright as you fight to catch your breath. He isn't in any better shape, panting just as hard as you are. He lifts his head, pressing his damp forehead onto yours. There's a dreamy smile on his lips. A look of absolute adoration.Â
"I love you."Â
You look at him. There's nowhere else to look.
"I love you," he repeats, leaning forward to kiss the corner of your lips. His lips trail down, caressing your cheek, your jaw, your neck. It would almost feel nice, but you can only stare straight ahead. You can see the dull green lockers in the distance. You can smell the mold in the damp locker room. You can feel Satoru's cum slowly seep out of you, trailing down your thigh.Â
Fuck three weeks.Â
You needed to get out, now.Â
đ€
The only reason you went is because you were told Gojo Satoru wouldn't be there.Â
His assistant had off-handily mentioned that he had a meeting on the other side of town. Very last minute. The building as a whole would be empty, just a skeleton crew and a couple of security guards to keep the place running. It made sense, it was 8 pm- long past any proper business hours.Â
Higuruma could have easily gone, but it's clear the sleepless nights have been getting to him, or the stress. His paralegal is more than qualified to act like a middleman between him and Mr.Gojo's associates. It's an easy mission. Just grab a few things, and get out.Â
Gojo Satoru wasn't supposed to be there.Â
And yet, there he was, leaning against the door, blocking you into the room.Â
His assistant had always been a mousey thing. Tonight, however, he'd been extra ansty, looking around the room. Babbling out excuses as to what was taking him so long. Now, when he can barely even look at you, you realize he was just a distraction.Â
"You're off the clock, Ijichi," Gojo finally breaks the silence, "take tomorrow off too, okay?"Â
His assistant quickly nods, keeping his head down to flit out the door. You can't even bring yourself to be mad at him. Gojo always had a habit of singling out the weakest, crushing them within his fist, unless they bent or broke.Â
The door shuts with a click.Â
"You know, I didn't even recognize you at first," he starts. He takes a small step forward.Â
You take one back. He puts his hands up.Â
"Okay, don't be like that," he sighs, exasperated, "It's been what, 10 years? How you've been?"Â
He steps around you, barely brushing against your shoulder to get to his desk. He reaches down, grabbing a wine bottle and two glasses from a cabinet, setting both down on mahogany wood.Â
"Wanna drink? Technically, it's against company policy to serve alcohol in the building but I won't tell if you don't." He grins. It looks bloody.Â
He looks so casual, the man who's haunted your nightmares, leaning against a desk in a building he owns. Your heart's beating in your chest. It's so loud. You wonder if he can hear it too.Â
When you don't respond, he rolls his eyes.Â
"Figures." He pops the cork. "You were always such a stickler for the rules."Â
"What do you want?" You ask, your tone weaker than you'd liked.Â
"What? Don't you wanna catch up? I missed you." You flinch at his words, looking away. "A paralegal, huh? Gotta' say, wasn't what I expected, but it fits you." It sounds condescending, but you don't poke the bear, opting to stay silent.Â
He seems to take an issue with that, regardless.Â
"Are you mad? If anything, I should be the one upset at how you just ran off like that. After all that time we spent together too. I didn't even get a breakup text."Â
His last words, send a chill up your spine. A warning. Staying here any longer would be a mistake.Â
You go to move.Â
Satoru's faster.Â
Your head slams against the wall. Hard. Enough to hurt. You struggle anyway, clawing at the hand that's gripping your throat, the body pinning you down. Above you (he's gotten so much taller now), Gojo tuts in disappointment.Â
"I tried to be nice and look where that got me. You tried to run again," he muses, like he's disappointed, "I shouldn't be surprised. You've always needed something with a bit more teeth." At his threat, his hand on your throat tightens. You freeze.Â
It's barely choking you, but it's enough of a warning. His other hand is playing with the end of your blouse, feeling the fabric. You can feel the tears start. They're a familiar taste. Only this time, they're twinged with bitterness.Â
"Don't do this," you whisper, "Don't-don't-"Â
"Yeah, I don't think you're in any position to make demands right now." He's grinning, but when you look into his eyes, you can see the anger. A fire that has burned for a decade. At that moment, you realized Gojo Satoru had changed. Now, he was better at hiding how he truly felt.Â
You should have quit the moment Higurama got him as a client.Â
Gojo's dragging you over to the desk, haphazardly pushing away the stuff already on it. The computer, the bottle, the wine glasses all fall to the floor with a deafening crash as he shoves you down, splaying you across the table. He follows you down, leaning to meet your lips in a frenzied kiss. It's different than all the other times he'd kissed you. He'd lost all the inexperience, more keen on making you stay put and bleed. When you try to turn your face, pushing at his chest, he only growls. A large hand grabs your chin, keeping you in place for him.Â
When he pulls away, there's a hint of blood on his plush lips. It's not his. He licks it up regardless.Â
You're full-on sobbing now; barely in sucking air as your body shudders and jolts. You don't expect comfort, least of all from him, but he's cooing, wiping away your tears.Â
"Missed this," he purrs, ignoring the way you weakly push at him, "'guess that was my mistake. I was expecting you to be different. Nah, you'll be the same crybaby you always were. That's how you managed to slip under my radar."Â
He buries his face into your hair, sighing in contentment as you shiver underneath him. His lips graze the crown of your head, a complete juxtaposition to his words.Â
"Scream all you want. No one's here, baby." No one's gonna save you from me.
Still, you try anyway. Your hands grip his broad shoulders, digging in your nails until he hisses.Â
"Fuck maybe you have changed." He rasps, fiddling with his belt. "You're bitchier now."Â
"Gojo-Gojo what are you-" He bites on your bare clavicle. You squeal, stilling underneath him again.Â
"Satoru," he insists. You slump over the desk as he takes both your hands, wrapping his leather belt around your delicate wrists. You wince when he twists it into a knot. The leather bites into your skin. The fight dissolves just as rapidly as it arrived. He hadn't even lifted a finger against you. You were just that pathetic.Â
"Satoru," you breathe, waving your flag of defeat. He hums, licking at the bitemark. You can feel the heat bloom on your skin. They'll be a mark tomorrow, and much like Satoru, it would go away so easily.Â
"There's my good girl," he groans, cold hands fiddling with the buttons on your blouse, opening it up until your bra pops out, "I know I should be more mad, but I've always had a soft spot for you. Guess things will never change, hm?"Â
His mouth dips down, tracing your collarbone to your breasts. He wiggles down your bra, letting your tits spill out and into his hands. He squeezes one while taking another in his mouth, swirling the bud with his tongue before devouring. His moan is barely muffled by your tits. Yours is clear, high-pitched and breathy. Satoru always had no problem being shameless. And he often dragged it out of you too.Â
He's mouthing something against your skin, but you're too distracted by his other hand, slinking down your waist, pushing up your pencil skirt, letting it bunch around your hips. In the moment, you chastised yourself for wearing something so easy to get rid of, but it wasn't like you were expecting for him to be here, to bring you down just like he did when you were in high school. It's not like you were expecting to fall.Â
Satoru feels around your pantyhose, running up and down your thigh, searching. He squeezes the sheer fabric, before he rips a hole into it. You gasp, jerking at the action.Â
"That's-"
"I'll buy you new ones," he says, voice muffled by your tits. The conversation feels familiar.Â
He bypasses your panties immediately, finding your pussy with practiced ease. You're already soaking. At this, he raises to look at you. You can't keep eye contact, timidly looking away. He laughs. It sounds sickenly affectionate.Â
"You're so cute." He purrs just as he leaves another mark on your chest. Your tits bounce under his attention as he pushes two fingers into your tight sopping hole. Your back curls, arching off the desk as he starts pumping his fingers in and out of you. Disgust grows within you, not at him, but at yourself, for letting yourself get this low. This desperate.Â
It doesn't stay for long. He's cruel like that, moving in a way that makes you forget your humanity. His fingers get even faster, digging into your cunt and curling somewhere deep inside, hitting a spot that makes you gasp. You're reduced to whimpering moans by the time he finally stops, fingers exiting your pussy with a wet noise. He brings them to his mouth, sucking on his fingers, eyes rolling to the back of his head at your taste.Â
"Fuckin' sweet," he moans, taking his fingers out with a sickening pop before wiping the drool on your heaving tits.Â
Your eyes float to the window. The moon is out, you blearily realize. It's a blood moon, a rusty red. Once every 3 months, it'll lose its heavenly glow. The innocent milky white will get shadowed by the Earth's rusty atmosphere. It'll regain its color eventually. The Sun doesn't like to be overshadowed.Â
Something hard and blunt slides between your legs. You're barely given a second to comprehend it before Satoru grabs you by the hips, filling you up with one thrust. You yelp, a semblance of his name on your lips, but it's shrouded by the moan you give out.Â
He stays like that for a bit. You should be grateful he is letting you adjust to him. His cock is sickenly familiar to your walls. Satoru's hair brushes your cheek as he leans up to whisper in your ear.Â
"How many?" he sounds like he's gritting his teeth, barely in control, "how many guys have you let fuck you since you ran?"Â
You blink, wondering if he's seriously asking, but you can hear the seriousness in his tone. Even now, he's concerned with the wrong things. He's always been petty like that.Â
"You," you say because there's no point in lying, "it's only ever been you."Â
You say it like it's a curse, because to you, Satoru had cursed you. He'd stolen something you'd never be able to enjoy, devouring it, keeping it for himself. A part of you will always hate yourself for letting him do that, just like a part of you will always be his.Â
Satoru deflates, as if he's relieved, easing his face into the crook of your neck, placing an almost loving kiss on your shoulder. He starts slow, slowly drawing his cock out, just until his tip is barely still in, before he pushes himself back into your hole. His pace is slow, controlled. It's different than when he was younger, more eager to get himself off more than anything. Now, it's like he's enjoying the intimacy, the feeling of your walls squeezing him. The wet noises. He's barely affected. Unlike you, writhing underneath him, close to falling apart. It's his length that gets you, forcing your pussy to stretch just to fit him. His cock hits everywhere, all at once, an endless torture of pleasure.Â
It takes you a while to get your brain back together, to collect the mush, and realize that Gojo isn't wearing a condom.Â
"S-Sato-" You try, just when he spreads your thighs apart, pushing them close to your chest so he can get deeper and kiss you at the same time. His hand slips down to your swollen clit, rubbing tight circles and you feel yourself getting even closer. You squeeze your eyes shut at the onslaught.Â
"Try again," Satoru huffs, "What's my name? I know you know it, pretty girl."Â
"'Toru," you beg because it's all you have left. Your breathless gasps make you sound even more unconvincing but you still manage to stutter out, "I'm-I'm not on anything, so-so please-"Â
"That's okay," he mutters, though it's clear he's half-listening, "I'll take care of you and the baby."
"No-I-I-can't-"Â
He drops his leisure pace in exchange of shorter, faster thrusts. His cock barely leaves your pussy, grinding in your hole as his breathing starts to get a little less controlled.Â
"I'll make sure it takes this time too."Â
Your eyes open, and you forget your panic to stare at him. You think back to the pills 18-year-old Geto had handed you. Always discreet. You'd...you'd always thought they were Satoru's idea.Â
He hits something inside you, right then. You implode, crashing and burning as you gush around his dick. He's not kind enough to ease you through it, ramming his cock even harder inside your battered pussy until he's hunching over you with a shudder. You can feel his cum settle deep inside your womb.Â
You stay like that for a few moments, not saying anything. It feels like hours before Satoru is moving again, drawing his softened cock out of your overstimulated pussy. You can feel the cum drip out of you too, spilling onto the desk, but you don't think Satoru's too mad about that. He flicks your clit a few times, watching your hips jerk and you give an exhausted whine.Â
He kisses your breasts. He kisses up your jaw, before finding your lips. Dazed, you find yourself kissing back in reluctant acceptance, your body aching for any semblance of gentleness.Â
"I love you."Â
You look into his eyes, and you realize he's right. Gojo Satoru loves you, and this is how a man like him loves. He meant it, all those years ago, just like how he does now.
Satoru loves like the Sun. Too bright. With enough heat to burn your soul away. It's why you ran.Â
"I love you," he repeats like the phrase doesn't kill you each time he says it, "so you're never leaving me."Â
"Not ever again."
There are theories that the Moon once had color.Â
It wasn't just white. It was green and blue, and red. 70 million years ago, it could have been much like the Earth. It didn't have a strong atmosphere, however. The gaseous layer was slowly stripped away. The Sun had eaten it. With no atmosphere, the unfiltered solar radiation slowly began to bleach the once colorful celestial body a dull white. Before long, the sun had created the moon to be its image. Now, the only color the moon has to offer is the sun's reflection.Â
If Satoru was the Sun, then perhaps, you were the Moon. Stripped of your color. Unable to create light of your own. Reflecting only what you're given.Â
How foolish of you to think you could ever escape his radiation.Â
Synopsis: Youâve always had a hard time standing up for yourself. Your new roommate loves that about you.
(Warnings: yandere, dark content, manipulation, slight exhibitionism, forced voyeurism(?), non-con, gojo being a freak)
It was a clerical error.Â
Gojo Satoru wasnât supposed to have a roommate because he was Gojo Satoru. The apartment was specifically his, as most things were.Â
You were a mistake.Â
The administration apologized to you both. Theyâd fix it in no time, they promised. This would only last a month before youâd move to your permanent residence.Â
You didnât mind the error. His apartment was large and expansive, and youâd already unpacked your stuff. The plan was to keep you there until everybody settled in for the semester, and then they could swap you out to an empty room.Â
Gojo didnât seem to mind too much either. You assumed heâd be a bit more irritated with the situation, but his lax nature was a pleasant surprise. You wouldnât necessarily call the two of you close, but you werenât on bad terms either.Â
Positive, is the better word. Not exactly neutral, but not too friendly either. You existed on the edges of each other's peripherals, and you were pretty happy with that. Gojo wasnât a bad roommate either. He kept the apartment mostly clean and didnât leave any food out. You thought youâd have to deal with loud parties; he seemed like the type, but the tiny circle he gravitated towards never overstayed its welcome.Â
The only issue was the music.Â
It wasnât bad music. You enjoyed his taste. You would just rather not hear it blasting through the walls at 2 am.Â
A roommate disagreement. Itâs the first one youâve ever had.Â
You want to do this right. Your biggest worry is offending him. You spend days figuring out the best way to approach him. You look up ways to gently bring up disagreements between your roommate. You fill a bag with treats and sweetsâthe kinds youâve seen him munch on before. You even write a letter because you know how flighty you get in these situations, and you canât thank him enough for all that heâs done for you, but if he could just maybe perhaps slightlyâ
â-So you just want me to turn the music down?â Gojo interrupts your rambling.
Heâs sitting on the sofa, one leg across the other. You remain standing, too strung up to really relax. The paper you were reading out loud crinkles as you fold it back up.Â
âYeah.â You mumble. âIf you can.âÂ
He takes another candy youâd gifted him, popping it in his mouth.Â
âYeah, sure.â He shrugs, as if it were hardly an inconvenience.Â
You, on the other hand, nearly deflated in relief. You didnât expect it to be so simple. You were half-preparing for the possibility that heâd blow up at you and go back to administration, demanding your eviction. Everything was resolved so easily.Â
âThank you.â A genuine smile graces your lips.
Gojo hums. The candy cracks between his teeth.Â
âYouâre pretty shy, huh?â He tilts his head, studying you.
A laugh escapes your throat. Nervous.Â
âI just donât like confrontation,â you admit.Â
Gojo nods, returning your wave when you say your goodbyes. You think nothing of the exchange. Hours later, youâre still riding the high of how effortless it all went.Â
â
Two things change today.Â
First, Gojo is up this morning.Â
Heâs never up this early. Usually, you only hear him moving around at noon. Youâre the early bird, not him. You never minded his routine. If anything, you appreciated that you ran on separate schedules.Â
Second, he was naked.Â
Gojo typically dresses conservatively: T-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies. He adorns the look of a typical college student most days. His tastes are a bit on the expensive side, considering how casually he wears luxury brands, but heâs mostly covered up. Â
Today, Gojo walks around the kitchen in nothing but boxers.
Youâre awkwardly standing in the hallway. You want to go back to your room and hide out until he leaves, but youâre already running late for class. Briefly, you think about keeping your head locked on the ground and slinking out the door. Maybe, if youâre lucky, he wonât notice you.Â
You arenât that lucky.Â
Gojo looks at your miserable figure. Thereâs no embarrassment about how little heâs dressed. No apologies. No stutters that will make you feel the tiniest bit human. He bares his white teeth as he smiles.Â
ââMorning, roomie!â He chirps.Â
You repeat the pleasantry with far less enthusiasm. You avoid looking at him directly, preferring to look at the counter, the floor, the refrigerator, anywhere that didnât have Gojo in it.Â
This was normal, you kept repeating to yourself. This is his house. Youâre practically a squatter. He should be comfortable in his own home. He should wear whatever he wants.Â
Besides, now you can make the most of your situation. You first considered skipping breakfast, given his situation. Now that the worst has happened, you could grab an apple or something.Â
You slip past him. You think Gojo is making some type of smoothie, but you refuse to look directly at him to confirm. The fruit basket is right at your fingertips. You start to swipe the first one you can grab before making your escape.
Something presses against your back, caging you against the counter. You freeze. You feel hard muscle as Gojo reaches up to mess with the cabinets.Â
âSorry.â Gojo casually excuses, rifling through the shelves. âIâll just be a second.â
One second.Â
Five seconds. Heâs still there. Your knuckles are white from how hard youâre gripping the counter.Â
âGojoââÂ
âMy music didnât bother you last night, did it?â He asks.Â
For a second, you wonder if thatâs why he was doing this. Maybe you had offended him earlier with your complaint. But you donât hear any resentment in his voice. He sounds cheerful.Â
Delighted, even.Â
âNo,â you say, âit was fine.âÂ
He hums. When he finally pulls away, you get your autonomy back. You scramble away from the counter, not wanting to get caught again.Â
âThatâs good,â He says, âIâm glad you were upfront about this. Weâre roommates! No use in hating eachother, right?âÂ
Temporary roommates, you correct in your head.Â
âAlso, we should use our first names from now on, roomie.â Gojo continues. âWe should speak more comfortably.âÂ
Fine, whatever. You just wanted to leave.Â
He suddenly leans in so heâs eye-to-eye with you. You hadnât noticed it before, but his gaze is intense. You try to back away, but thereâs nowhere to go.Â
âSay it.â He lowers his voice. âSa-to-ru.âÂ
It feels like heâs mocking you, but you canât seem to find the joke.Â
âSatoru,â you obey.Â
He smiles.Â
âYeah.â He pulls away. âJust like that.âÂ
â
After a couple of washes, you finally notice its absence.Â
It wasnât the most expensive of your collection, but it was still pretty pricey. You liked the silk material and the dark red color. It was your favorite pair of panties.Â
You skulk around the apartment, hoping it just fell from the basket. That, or the washer ate it. You tried not to think of the other option.Â
Days pass, and you give up searching. You decide to forget about it. You have other pairs. Itâs not the end of the world.Â
A part of you thinks about asking Satoru, but youâre quickly squashing it down. No way would you willingly ask him something so embarrassing. You just toss it to the back of your mind, hoping it will just show up again.Â
And then, Satoru invites you into his room.
Itâs not exactly an invitation. When youâre trudging home from class, he pops out from his room, excitedly telling you about a TV show before youâre being dragged inside. Youâre not a big fan of the genre, and you have no interest in the show. It doesnât matter to Satoru. Youâre forced to sit on his bed as the characters on screen follow the script.Â
Heâs doing that a lot lately. Interrupting. Invading. You keep brushing off the thought that heâs testing you, somehow.Â
âRoomie, this guy is so annoying.â Satoru comments. âDonât worry, he dies in the next episode, so you donât have to suffer for long.âÂ
You say nothing as he casually spoils the show for you. Honestly, you couldnât care less. You were getting a little bored. Your eyes wander around his room. Itâs cleaner than you thought itâd be. A few clothes are scattered around. A college hoodie hangs off the door. There are all sorts of papers on his desk, each is covered in meaningless algorithms you canât decipher, and you suddenly remember heâs a physics major. You ask about maybe getting some math help from him later on, before youâre brushing that thought away.Â
Thereâs a snap of fingers. Your gaze drifts back to Gojo.Â
âRoomie, pay attention!â He whines, urging you back to the screen.Â
There are only 10 minutes of the show left. Fine, you sit there, counting down the minutes until you can make your escape.Â
Satoruâs hand brushes the edge of your bare thigh.Â
Heâs not exactly touching. You two are sitting pretty close. He was just sitting comfortably, resting his weight on his hands. Itâs barely a touch, but itâs there. You can feel his fingers on your skin.Â
He doesnât move his hand back. Itâs more likely because he doesnât notice, you convince yourself. Youâre overthinking things again.Â
He shifts. His hand slips even closer.Â
When you try to open your mouth, he hushes you with a, âThis is the best part!â and all the courage leaves your body again.Â
It feels like hours until the credits finally roll. Satoru steps off the bed to turn off the TV, and you make your move too, eager to find refuge in your room.Â
âOh yeah.â His voice stops you in your tracks. âWhat did you want to talk about earlier?âÂ
You stare. It feels crazy to bring up what happened just now. See? He didnât even notice.Â
But now, you have nothing to say, and saying nothing feels like a lie.Â
âDid you see something in your laundry?â You blurt out before you can even think.Â
Satoru encapsulates a picture-perfect replication of an innocent doe. He tilts his head in confusion.Â
âLike what?â He asks.Â
Dark red panties, with just the hint of lace. You canât say it. You just canât.Â
âI think we mightâve swapped some clothes.â You unhelpfully murmur. âIf you see anythingâŠjust let me know.âÂ
He nods. âSure thing, Roomie!â He calls to you as you hurry back into your room and lock the door.Â
Soon, Satoruâs actions turn less ambivalent.Â
Sometimes, youâd hear him once or twice in the middle of the night. Heâs loud. The walls thankfully muffle most of it, but you know what heâs doing. You usually just plug in your headphones and try not to look at him the next day. So far, things have worked out pretty well.Â
Today, his door is wide open as he jerks off.Â
Youâre standing right next to your own door, mouth agape, forced to listen to his moans and babbles for five minutes. Youâre already late for class.
But you canât bring yourself to even open your door.Â
To get out of the apartment, youâd have to cross Satoruâs room. The one that is currently open, where youâd see him stroking his dick.Â
You know this is going too far. You needed to fucking do something already. Thereâs no way you can be kept a prisoner in your own home.Â
And yet, you stay, forced to listen to him openly masturbate.Â
âFuck yes,â you can hear him say over and over again. âJust a little more, pretty girl. Câmon, just a bitâthere we fucking go.âÂ
Heâs talking to someone. No, thatâs not right. Heâs fantasizing about someone.Â
More babblings and youâre squeezing your eyes shut as he comes. He curses again, and you stand there until you no longer want to melt into the floor.Â
A few minutes later, youâre stomping around the room, trying to be as noisy as possible. You loudly adjust your bookbag and fiddle with your chair. You try to give him as much time as possible.Â
By the time you come out, the apartment is back to normal. His door is still open. You stare straight ahead, ignoring the clear invitation to look as you pass his room.Â
âHey, Roomie.â Satoru casually calls from his place on the bed.Â
You nearly trip over your own feet. Satoru gives a hiss.Â
âYou good?â He asks.Â
No.Â
âYes.â You adjust your bag. âJust tripped.âÂ
âOkay.â You hear him shift. His bed creaks under the weight. âHave fun at class, pretty girl.âÂ
You slam the door a lot harder than you should. You were ten minutes late for class that day, but it doesnât matter. As much as you tried to focus on your professorâs drones, your mind kept drifting to the name he called you right before you fled.Â
No, no it couldnât be. You needed to forget about it.Â
Also, he was holding something in his hand. You didnât know for sure, you didnât want to stare butâŠ
âŠit was a dark red piece of fabric.Â
â
You like it when Satoruâs friends come over. They create a buffer between you and him.Â
These days, you arenât in the apartment as much. Youâre out early. You come in late. You arenât avoiding Satoru. You talk to him when he talks to you. You listen to whatever ramblings he has that day. You arenât avoiding Satoru.Â
Today is one of the few times he manages to catch you. Maybe you should count yourself lucky that he did it today, because Suguru was here.Â
He lounges on the sofa as Satoru drags you behind him. Suguru barely glances up from his phone. Heâs pretty used to Satoruâs antics. You arenât.Â
Satoru plops right next to his friend, picking up his remote.Â
âOkay, weâre ready,â he says before frowning and glancing around. âThereâs no more space.âÂ
Heâs right. Both men are big, barely overcrowding the minuscule couch. You awkwardly loiter nearby as they both set up. You open your mouth, ready to say that you were fine with not joining, that you didnât really care about a video game, no matter how awesomely Satoru described it.Â
Satoruâs grin is filled with nothing but delight as he turns to you.Â
âHereââ he eagerly pats his lap ââI've got plenty of space left, pretty girl.âÂ
You blanch, and his smile just grows wider. He starts to reach for you before his friend steps in.Â
Suguru shoves him off the couch. Satoru dramatically collapses onto the floor.Â
âDonât be a dick.â Geto chides before motioning you to sit.Â
You take a seat, with a relieved smile directed at Geto. Satoru grumbles from his spot on the floor, but he doesnât try to move back as you thought he would.Â
âI canât believe youâre abusing me in my own home,â Satoru complains. âWhere I pay rent.âÂ
âYour parents pay rent, you trust fund baby.â Geto is more than happy to refute.Â
âSame thing.â Satoru rolls his eyes. âItâll all go to me in the end.âÂ
Out of all of Satoruâs friends, Suguru seemed to have the biggest hold on his collar. They seemed close. Maybe their friendship had spanned years before college. You donât know if anyone could bear to be around Satoru for that long, but maybe Suguru is that exception.Â
You think you spend about an hour watching them play. You arenât too interested in video games, much less combat games, but they seem to get a kick out of it. Eventually, Gojo demands to play with you. Geto relinquishes his remote to your reluctant hands, more than happy to go back to his phone.Â
âDamn.â Satoru laughs as he kills you for the 4th time. âYouâre bad at this.âÂ
You frown at the YOU LOSE on your side of the screen.Â
âI havenât played this before,â you respond.Â
âI can tell.âÂ
He doesnât seem particularly upset that his new gaming partner sucks. If anything, the more he kills you, the wider his smile gets.Â
âWe should place bets.â He suddenly pipes up. âHowever looses a round: strips.âÂ
You shrink. Geto rolls his eyes.Â
âSatoru, stop bullying your roommate and play the game.â He leans back. âLet the poor thing breathe.âÂ
He whirls around to look at you with wide eyes. You canât tell whether heâs being genuine. You glance away.Â
âYeah.â You fiddle with the remote. âI know.âÂ
âSee, itâs fine!â Instantly, Satoru forgets the game. He crowds into the couch to circle his arm around you, pulling you into his side. âYouâre the only person who understands my humor, pretty girl.â He sighs.Â
âThis sounds more and more like a hostage situation.â Suguru idly comments.Â
But when you look at him, really look at him, you can see the apathy clear in his eyes.Â
Maybe thatâs why they got along so well.Â
âShut up.â Satoru snaps.Â
âYouâll tell me, though, right?â Satoru says as he snuggles even closer. âIf Iâm going too far?âÂ
You want him to get off of you. You know he knows, too.Â
âI will.â You say instead.Â
Satoru grins, continuing to swaddle you with his body.Â
âSee?â He blows a raspberry in Suguruâs direction. âMy Roomie loves me.âÂ
â
Sometimes you prefer to be alone with Satoru. He just gets worse with more people around.Â
The club he dragged you into was smoky, with the occasional lights that flicked and changed colors, illuminating the floor. It was crowded. Someone spilled a drink on the floor earlier that night. The sweet sticky scent lingered in the air.Â
Satoru had brought a couple of other people too, more than happy to stuff the lot of you into his car before driving off. One of Satoruâs other friends, Shoko, was here somewhere. Suguru was here too, but you lost sight of him sometime back. You, standing against the wall, wonder if you could take a bus back to the apartment.Â
The only person in your line of sight was Satoru.Â
Earlier, heâd asked if you wanted to dance. You declined. You thought heâd make a bigger fuss out of it, like usually he does when you donât fully accommodate him. Instead, he shrugged off your rejection, casually tossing over his shoulder to âjoin in at any timeâ.Â
Someone else was with him. She was shorter than him, even with the heels. You watch as she drags manicured nails across his arms as he leans down to kiss her. You doubt they know each other. Satoruâs just like that. Overly friendly.Â
It reminds you of all the people he brings over for âlate-night study sessionsâ. Apart from the noise, you donât mind the girls and guys. Most of them are pretty nice. They actually give you a lot of relief whenever you see them. For a second there, you thought that the reason Satoru was doing this to you was that heâ
So yes, the people he brings over are a nice thing.Â
Someone clears his throat.Â
You donât recognize him. His grin is sheepish. Polite, you smile back.Â
The small talk is a bit awkward at first. Itâs hard to hear him with the screaming crowd and music. You two exchange names. He comments on the phone case you have, claiming his sister likes that character too. He perks up when he says something that makes you laugh.Â
âDid you come here with anyone?â He finally asks.Â
âMy roommate,â you offer, turning your head to point to Gojo.Â
He isnât there. Neither is the girl he danced with earlier. You wonder if he decided to ditch you and take her home. You donât think youâd be surprised if he did.Â
At the implication you arenât seeing anyone, he asks:Â
âCan I get you a drink?âÂ
You think youâre about to refuse. You know Satoru and the rest of his group will be drunk by the time the night ends. Youâre pretty sure the only reason you were dragged along was to play babysitter and drive them home.Â
You open your mouth for a polite rejection.Â
Satoru does it for you.Â
He was fast. You hadnât noticed him until he was putting himself right between you and your conversational partner.Â
Satoruâs smiling. It doesnât look friendly.Â
âHey man,â Satoru casually says, âthe fuck are you doing?âÂ
He can read between the lines, something youâre grateful for. Within seconds, the stranger is hurrying off. Lucky, you think to yourself, watching his back disappear into the crowd. Satoru lets him go so easily.Â
Unlike you.Â
He turns on you almost immediately. You want to sink into the wall.Â
âWeâre going.â He finally says.Â
You pliantly nod, letting him lead you out the seedy club. Only when you get to his car do you realize he meant just you and him.Â
âWhat aboutââ You cut yourself off when you see his eyes.Â
Dark. They no longer resemble the color of cloudless skies. Now, theyâre more like thunder and rain.Â
Youâve never seen him more furious than the entire time youâve known him.Â
You remain silent as you slip into the passenger seat, tucking yourself into the seatbelt. Satoru starts the car with a distinct rumble. The locks click into place.Â
Youâve always known Gojo to be an erratic driver. Tonight feels even worse. His knuckles are white from how hard heâs squeezing the steering wheel. The car keeps speeding up and up, careening past the speed limit. You can hear your heartbeat thudding in your chest.Â
And Satoru?Â
Satoru looks like heâs about to murder someone.Â
âWho was that?â His voice is cold, devoid of all the playfulness he had earlier tonight.Â
âI donâtââÂ
âWho the fuck was he?â He demands.Â
You flinch, and your hands curl into fists to keep them from shaking too much. You canât do anything but stare into the window, watching the night sky dwindle past with all the other cars on the highway.Â
âI didnât know him.â You weakly tried to defend, even if you didnât know why. Your instinct was to placate. âHe just came up to me, and we started to talk.âÂ
He laughs. Itâs dry, bitter, and sardonic.Â
âOkay.â He tells you, turning the wheel so sharply that you press further into the door. âI let you outtaâ my sight for two seconds, and youâre letting some fucker feel you up?âÂ
âIââÂ
âWhatâd you two talk about?â He demands. âDid he ask if he could touch your pussy? If he did, you wouldâve let him, right? I mean, you were practically throwing yourself at him like a slut, so maybe the guy thought he had a chance.âÂ
It hurts to breathe. Something stings in your eyes as your vision blurs.Â
No one has ever said such horrible things to you before.Â
âNothing like that happened.â You insist. Why was he doing this? Why was he acting like this? âPlease justââÂ
âShut up.â He snaps back. âWhat, you seriously thought anyone would fall for the shit you pull? You think he actually cared for you? Donât make me laugh. He only wanted your tits and holes.âÂ
The words Satoru barks out are mean and vulgar. Your body freely shakes, you press yourself further up against the door, feeling tears stream down your cheeks. Satoruâs voice only softens when your hiccups and sobs fill the car.Â
âBaby, no, IâI didnât mean that shit.â His voice is oddly strained. You feel fingers brush against your neck, but you only shift away.Â
You didnât want to be in that club. You didnât want to talk to that man. You didnât want to get into Satoruâs car. You just wanted to go home.Â
The car slows to a stop right in an abandoned parking lot. Satoru kills the engine, letting the car hum into silence. Whatever happens, you think it will happen now. At this very moment. You prepare yourself for the worst, squeezing your eyes shut.
But itâs even worse.Â
Thereâs a hiss of a zipper. Your eyes open just in time to see Satoru pull out his dripping cock.Â
Heâs already hard. His cock curves up, almost touching the steering wheel as he wraps his fingers around the base. The tip is painfully swollen as beads of pre-cum leak down his cock. Veins bulge against his skin as he frantically pushes his hand up and down.Â
Your fear melts straight into horror as you stare at him. Heâs staring right at you, desperately pumping his cock with his hand. The worst part is his eyesâwide, blown out like heâs high. He looks right at you like he wants to eat you alive.Â
Youâre immediately reaching for the handle. No matter how much you tug, the car wonât open. Youâre trapped there, forced to watch as your roommate jerks himself off in front of you because your crying turned him on.Â
Your sobs quieten. All you can hear in the car is his moans and the words he mouths, your name over and over again.
You think the worst part is that he still tries to talk to you, to comfort you.Â
âYouâre okayâyouâre okay, baby.â Heâs spitting the words out through his teeth as his hand throttles his pulsing dick. âLemmeâlemmeâcanât help mâselfâjustââ,Â
You flinch when he comes. His cock spurts white cum all over his hands.Â
Youâre fully silent. The only thing you can hear is his heavy breathing as he cleans up.Â
You think heâs about to reach for you. His fingers never make contact.Â
You stare out the window. Everythingâs dark. Nobody was around. No one was around to see you. To hear you.Â
Even if someone was aroundâŠwhat could you say?Â
âCan we go home, please?âÂ
Thereâs a sharp inhale.
âSure.â The affection in his tone makes you nauseous.Â
You close your eyes.
âAnything for you, pretty girl.âÂ
â
Ten minutes later, youâre still twiddling your fingers in the waiting room.Â
Getting this appointment had been excruciatingly difficult. Constant last-minute cancellations. Reschedules. It felt like they were trying to deter you from entering the housing office.Â
They promised you this was a temporary arrangement. You were only supposed to be at Satoruâs place for a month, maybe even less. But then one month turned to two. Two months turned to three. You donât think youâd last another day in that apartment.Â
He was getting worse each day. It was only a matter of them until heâ
A man steps into the lounge. Heâs tall and lanky, carrying a smile that screams dismissive. You perk up as he squints at you. When he calls your name, you immediately rise, following him into the back of his office.Â
Itâs stuffy. There are papers everywhere. You squish into a chair just before he starts talking.Â
Itâs the usual stuff. You spell out your name, and he pulls up your housing account. He squints at the computer.Â
âYou said this was a temporary assignment?â He asks.Â
You eagerly nod, straightening your posture.Â
âYes,â you say. âMy roommate wasnât supposed to have another one, but there was a mix-up andââ
âNo.â He taps on the screen. âYou said it was temporary, but here it says itâs permanent.âÂ
You swallow.Â
âWhat?âÂ
He messes around with his mouse for a bit. Your hands feel strangely clammy.Â
âAh, here it is.â He cleared his throat. âIt says you came in a month ago wanting to make the change. I see your and your roommates' signatures. You must have come here a while ago.âÂ
You struggle to find the words.Â
âI donâtââÂ
âIn any case, itâs too late to change anything now. The deadline for reassignment passed weeks ago.â He gives you a sympathetic look that strangely cuts deep into your skin.Â
âAre you and your roommate having issues?â
You think about the truth.Â
âNo,â you hear yourself say. âEverything is fine.âÂ
You donât remember much after that. You think you were polite as you stood up. You think you shook his hand. You think you walked out of his stuffy office and out of that stifling building. Everything is a blur until you step into the sunlight, feeling it beat down your face.Â
You donât want to go back to the apartment. You still feel too raw, too fresh.Â
You donât have any classes left for today. You canât hide out on campus. Satoru will find you. He always finds you. Maybe you should stay at a friendâs place and recuperate.Â
Right, you donât have any friends. Satoru made sure of that.Â
Briefly, you think about going to the police. Could you maybe use them as a buffer somehow? At the very least, it might scare him from taking this any further.Â
But then you glance over at the campus buildings. The name Gojo flashes brightly in the sun.Â
You arenât stupid. You may not know his family all that well, but you know the influence of his background. There is a reason his campus apartment is thrice the size of everyone elseâs. There is a reason he wasnât supposed to have a roommate in the first place.Â
He is everything. He has everything.Â
You are nothing. You have nothing.Â
When you arrive at the apartment ten minutes later, Satoru is already lounging on the couch.Â
He excitedly waves you over. When you get inside striking range, he reaches out, pulling you onto the cushions. You pretend not to notice the way he breathes in your scent as you settle on the sofa. An arm wraps around your body, pushing you into his side.Â
âWhere were you, roomie?â Satoru whines. âDidnât class end an hour ago?â It would be a harmless question if his grip werenât so tight. You wonât be surprised if you find a bruise there in a day or two.Â
Something plays on the TV. Neither of you pays attention.Â
âSorry.â Itâs all you can muster to say.Â
He seems satisfied with your answerâthe submission of it. You find yourself counting down the clock. Seven minutes go by before you speak up again.Â
âSatoru?â You ask.
Thereâs a distant hum of an answer.Â
âDid you tell Housing I was staying?âÂ
For the longest while, Satoru does not speak. Then, he relaxes. He groans, easily delving into your space. A hand rests on your thigh.Â
âOh, that.â Thereâs a yawn. âYeah, I just went ahead and told them you didnât need to move out. We were getting along so well, âmakes no sense why youâd get a different apartment, right? Sounds like a hassle moving halfway through the semester.âÂ
Then he shifts. You can feel him stare right down at you.Â
âUnless you have a problem with that?âÂ
He doesnât even bother to hide it. Pure excitement.Â
Was there ever a possibility you couldâve come out unscathed had you just stood up to him earlier? Maybe you shouldâve been a bit less timid when speaking to him about his music. Maybe you shouldâve commented on his lack of clothing around the house.Â
Or maybe it was always going to end up this way.Â
âNo.â You tell him, staring straight at the TV. âI donât have a problem with that.âÂ
A couple of days later, another pair of panties goes missing.Â
Unlike last time, you donât bother looking for it.Â
â
You always locked your door at night, but looking back, it was stupid to assume Satoru didnât have a spare key.Â
This is his apartment, after all.Â
The lock gives with barely a click. Youâre already wide awake, body rigid, tucked underneath the covers as hallway light bleeds into the room. Youâre facing the textured wall, watching as his shadow drifts into your bedroom. The door shuts in a way that sounds final. Itâs dark again.Â
Heâs quiet. You can barely hear the sounds of his breath. Thereâs a footstep. Then, another. Eventually, heâs right behind you.Â
You donât know what he was doing. Youâre too scared to turn and check. Naively, you think if you pretend to be asleep, heâll leave.Â
One minute.Â
Two minutes. Heâs so still, for a moment, you wonder if you imagined the whole thing.Â
The edge of your blankets lifts. Your bed creaks under his weight. His chest presses against your back. Warm hands grasp your shoulders.Â
Heâll leave eventually. If you pretend to be asleep, heâll leave.Â
You squeeze your eyes shut when his head nuzzles into the crook of your neck. He inhales.Â
âYouâre not gonna stop me, are you?â His voice makes your shoulders tense. You can practically hear his smile.Â
His fingers manage to slip under your shirt. You can barely hold in your gasp when he grabs a handful of your tits. He doesnât even bother to be gentle, squeezing and pulling until youâre practically whining.Â
âCâmon.â Satoru coos into your ear. Thereâs a kiss on your neck. âSay it. Tell me no.âÂ
He nibbles the skin right on your jawline. His hair tickles your cheek.Â
Your hands reach out to grab his own. You squeeze, digging your nails into his skin.Â
âPlease stop.âÂ
He laughsâthe kind of laugh youâd give to a toddler if they misbehave. It feels so mean.Â
âYouâre so cute.â Another kiss right at your ear.
âStop.â You repeat. His hands donât budge, not even when you start to draw blood. âLet go. Donâtâdonât touch meââÂ
He flips you right on your back. From the streetlights peaking through the blinds, you can see his face. The widest smile is stretched over his pretty lips. It looks almost manic.Â
Your eyes sting.Â
âCan I kiss you?â He asks. Itâs almost cruel how soft his voice is.Â
You shake your head. His teeth gleam.Â
âPlease?â He leans closer. âJust one kiss?âÂ
Itâs heartbreaking how sweet the kiss is. Soft, barely touching as he melds his lips with yours. He keeps a hand on your chin, holding you in place before the greed takes over and he ravages you.Â
By the time he pulls away, your lips are bitten and bruised.
He sinks lower, face dipping into the skin of your neck as he makes himself home there. Itâs laughingly pathetic how weak you were compared to himâhow little you fare when he pulls off your shirt, then your shorts. Soon, his clothes join yours, leaving a small puddle of cloth at the foot of your bed.Â
He pulls away from your body, looking over the whole of you.Â
âOh, baby.â His eyes are blown out like heâs high. âIâŠI just wanna do everything to you.âÂ
You canât hold back the tears anymore. They drip down your face, sculpting your cheeks. He coos, sinking lower to pepper your face in kisses.Â
âIâm sorry, baby.â The excitement in his voice betrays him. âDonât cry. I wonât do anything bad, I promise.âÂ
Liar, you want to call him, but you donât. You canât. Your throat traps your voice as his fingers delve underneath your panties.Â
Thereâs no tact as he presses into you, immediately filling you up with his finger. Your pussy can barely fit one of him, almost choking when he slips in another. Thereâs no rhythm, no grace for how fragile you are as he thrusts his fingers deeper and deeper.Â
You can barely muffle your cries as he hits a spot deep inside you.Â
âSee?â he asks, toying with your clit. âNot bad things, right?âÂ
You donât answer, barely able to keep the noises in check as he abruptly pulls out of you. His fingers are shiny from your pussy juices. He crudely wipes his fingers on your tits.Â
Youâve seen his cock before, but it looks even bigger from this angle. It slaps against your inner thighs as he finishes yanking off your drenched panties. The mushroom-tipped head brushes against your slit. He tosses one of your legs over his shoulder, opening your hole just enough to get his cock in the perfect position.Â
The fight comes in too late. You think youâre reaching up to claw at his face, those pretty blue eyes.Â
It dies as he bottoms out inside your pussy in one thrust.Â
He doesnât wait for you to settle down; heâs not kind enough for that. As soon as his cock sits as deep as it can into your pussy, heâs immediately moving. Your abused cunt immediately tightens around his cock, almost like youâre trying to suck him back in.Â
You squeeze your eyes shut as you feel Satoru collapse on top of you. His head drops into the crook of your neck. You can hear his ragged breaths as he fucks himself deeper and deeper into you.Â
ââneed you to relax for me, baby.â He hisses like itâs your fault he canât control himself. âCanâcan barely fit into this cunt.âÂ
To emphasize his words, he reaches down. Thereâs a soft slap right on your clit. You yelp. He soothes you with gentle circles with his thumb.Â
âSatoru,â you can barely get out from the pressure, âplease just stopââ Another smack on your pussy. Harder.Â
âCanât stop.â His breaths are ragged, and his hips shift so he can plow into you at a different angle. âCanât ever stop. Not when I know how good you feel.âÂ
Thereâs a rasp of a laugh as your own noises get louder and louder. Your back arches. Something hot writhes in your belly the more the fucks you. Heâs gripping your waist so harshly that you know theyâll leave bruises.Â
Itâll pair well with the clawmarks you leave on his back as you arch further into his raw cock.Â
Thereâs a sharp hiss before heâs kissing you again. Thereâs a harsh thrust that makes you moan directly into his mouth. He reluctantly pulls away, licking the taste of you out of his mouth.Â
âIâm so glad I found you.â He tells you, continuing to ram into your pussy.Â
âCanât even imagine howâhow someone else would react to you just givinâ yourself to âem. Fuck, even thinkinâ about it makes me wanna kill someone.âÂ
Distantly, you think about all the times you couldâve stopped him. You think about what you couldâve done differently to never cross paths with a man like Gojo Satoru.Â
âYouâre all for me.â He sighs, leaning close so heâs whispering right in your ear.Â
He wants you to hear this right before he makes you cum all over his cock.Â
âItâs all youâll ever be.âÂ
You're writhing against his cock as he forces you through an earth-shattering orgasm. Your pussy clenches hard around him, milking him for all heâs worth as your climax is reluctantly dragged out of your exhausted body.Â
Thereâs a grunt, then a sigh as something fills you to the brim. His cock pumps his cum steadily into you. Thereâs so much your poor pussy canât keep it all inside. It leaks crudely from your hole.Â
He stays like that for a minute, breathing you in as you start to come down from your high. Then, Satoru flops to your side, gathering up in your arms. Youâre forced to lie against his chest, listening to his quickening heartbeat.Â
The anger comes too late to do anything about.Â
âI hate you.â You hiss as he continues to cuddle you. âI hate you, I hate youâyou sick, twistedââ
âAw, you donât gottaâ pretend to be mean with me, pretty girl.â Satoru coos, snuggling into your exhausted figure. You can feel the hard shape of his cock press right against your thigh.Â
