Sometimes I show my belly to see if I can trick Mine into attacking me. But all she seems to do is give me a pet and then pull away really fast when I swipe at her! Kind of rude honestly. What if I want to scratch her??

In other news, Hades is pushing it with the closeness. I don’t really know how to feel with him at my back but Mine doesn’t seem scared… so I’m not scared of course!! I’m very brave and smart and pretty. Unlike Other Human who’s a scaredy cat, and he’s not even a cat!!! But Hades always goes to check on him after a while. I’m always around Mine cuz I’m her protector! No loneliness allowed on my watch! I like it here.

I met the other cat today! This is Hades, and apparently I was named to match him… he’s very big but very calm. It’s weird to have another cat around that’s not stealing my food. And he loves Other Human very much. Kind of weird in my opinion.

He takes up a lot of space sometimes. But I can tolerate him since he isn’t mean to Mine and doesn’t steal my attention. I need my pets!! He gets a little close sometimes but listens to me when I hiss. Maybe I’ll like him more later but for now I’m keeping my distance.

Hmmmm, this place is pretty nice so far.

Mine is nice and keeps my food and water full. Plus there’s all kinds of fun furniture to scratch! Mine doesn’t seem to like that but how else am I suppose to mark my space? I was a little scared when she hissed at me the first time, acting like my mom 🙄 but she doesn’t swipe at me like my mom did… so she’s not that mad about it.

I wonder about the other cat I smell here and we exchanged hisses through a door. He smells… happy… so I guess he’s alright. And I met the other human. He’s very large but kind of wimpy. I bit him and he ran away!! Mine doesn’t do that, but Mine is a good human and listens to me so I don’t have to do that too much.

I’m starting to be comfortable here. I hope it lasts.

Hi, I’m new here, and my name is Persephone.

I used to be a scrappy kitty living on the streets when I was snatched up by some scary humans and then woke up with my tummy hurting. I don’t like humans now, except for maybe the one that I met and called Mine. She’s different I think and gives me food and pets when I want them so she’s alright.

I have a new home now and there is another male human and male cat nearby. I can smell them but not see them though so imma wait and see how this goes.
