Ha!
"i liked this more when i thought you didnt like me"
not unexpected and not painful, but definitely an arrangement of words i've never heard before. altered some neurons.
on occasion, i mourn my lack of connection with any kind of culture. i think of my great grandparents who left behind any cultural identities to assimilate into 1940s and 50s Americana and wonder what could have been.
i crossed over the ridge and wound my way back down towards the border, slowing only once i saw a car pulled over, waving hands high in the air. boldly human.
i tried continuing, but once i saw the 18-wheeler stuck in this gross, foamy bog sliding toward me, i knew i was fucked.
with four hours added to my drive, i was not well. but i made it regardless, and at least enjoyed a newfound taste of some kind of petty determination.
sunset somewhere on i-95.

current reads.
camus: existentialist philosophy of absurdism which discusses the absurdity of the universe, and how looking for meaning in a universe that is entirely random is also absurd. pretty edgy, but i like the latter half of the book where camus goes 'make shit up as you go, live with revolt, freedom, and passion'. obviously paraphrasing so read it for urself
egan: a non-linear story of a bunch of broken people and their tangled and chaotic web. read this my, like, sophomore year of high school and remember it being good. reading it again with some insight and it's even better. has a lot of ties to the SF Bay Area which makes me like it even more
thompson: two guys get multiple ego deaths out in the desert. truly the pinnacle of classic American literature. disjointed and humorous and just fun. still trying to extrapolate it's meaning, tho
poster mockup for a concert i shot last weekend
anytime i take a break from smoking i start to get dreams that are vivid as shit and that feel prophetic
me and who
is it bad to seek the path of least resistance
wall of water at zion np.
i bought this lamp for $20 on craigslist. the bulbs were $6 each. #1 purchase i've made since i moved.
man. february feels like a past life, all of the sudden.
i dont think i quite agree with voltaire but this quote has been stuck in my mind still
Chore Scorpion: I come from the toughest meanest place you can imagine. I want to be gentle, I want to die gently, but It seems that when life gets hard I have to get harder to match.
i would get this tatted
working on a kind of "religious trauma" type zine? feeling a little biblically inspired, which is really ironic, all things considered.
