“Who have you been talking to? It’s clearly somebody that knows nothing about this place.” she hummed. Always one to believe that she knew the most about the college and the town given all the years she had spent in them. “People are unpredictable, honey. There are many reasons why someone would and wouldn’t.”

“That’s very weird. I wouldn’t let a person watch me dance if I hadn’t yet finished the whole performance, so why share an incomplete story?”

Adam looked at the girl and frowned. The ring might have been ugly but he was not one to fall for tricks. He shoved the ring in his front pocket and rose a brow. “Buy yourself a casket now because you’re going to have an upset abuela when you tell her you lost it.”
Chel dropped her hand down to her side when the ring left her line of sight and slowly her mouth fell open. “I can’t afford to do that.” she stated, unsure of what to do, to get the ring into her hands. “So why don’t you just save my life and hand it over?”

Adam had noticed the glimmer of the ring and before anyone could pick it up he went for it; only to find his face twisting with disgust. “This has got to be the ugliest thing I have ever seen.”
Chel pouted and crossed her arms over her chest as she eyed the item the male held. It might not have looked like much to him, but she had spotted it a mile away and was almost certain that she’d be able to pawn it off for a decent reward, so what better way to get it in her possession, than to flick her hand out, wiggle her fingers expectantly and lie? “It may be ugly, but my abuela gave that to me and she would kill me if she knew I lost it.”

“Honey you do realize you’re in a school and not the slums, right? People do a lotta fucked up things here, but with this many people around, nobody would try anything.” she scoffed. “Besides, you look confused... How was I supposed to know you wouldn’t just sleep here?”

“Have you tried the music department? Unless they decided to chuck all of the pianos out this past week, I’m positive you can find at least one or two in a room.”

“Long story short- No.” Bonnie rolled her eyes. It’s not like anyone knew she hated sleeping alone in her dorm, but it was still dumb for anyone to think she would actually do that.
“That’s not much of a story.” she replied, rolling her own eyes in response to the others actions. “So if you won’t go, don’t complain. Nobody’s forcing you to nap here but yourself.”
