From the moment she woke up, Jasmine felt motivated. She started her day by grabbing a coffee like all teenagers do on summer mornings. As she drank her coffee, she decided to take a short walk around the city, she wanted to learn as much as she could about the Capitol before she had to go to school, only to be consumed with piles of work. She finished her coffee and looked around for the nearest trash bin. The blonde finally found a place to throw out her cup, looking up she realized that it was a small art school, it was ironic because she had been meaning to get a sketchpad and some pencils so she could potentially turn her doodles into real art. As she walked into the store she was greeted with the smell of paint and granite. The store itself, in Jasmine’s eyes, was adorable. She walked up to the boy at the counter to ask for some help, but there was something familiar about him. “Um, hi. I’m Jasmine. It’s my first time getting art suppli-” Jasmine starts but quickly cuts herself off. “I’m sorry, do I know you? You just look really familiar.” Knowing the questions seems strange, Jasmine quickly regrets asking it, but curse her mothers genes for making her naturally curious.
a year since he’d opened up his shop, iseul had a routine at this point. wake up too-early in the morning after too-little sleep and write up what was left of the homework he’d been doing the night before. he’d brew a pot of coffee – and drink the entire thing before he was even finished with his papers. when the clock finally hit seven o’clock, iseul would finally get dressed into his typical jeans-and-loose-button-up-shirt before heading down the steps of his apartment into the storefront – it was the only reason he fell in love with the building he was currently living-slash-working in.
another pot of coffee was made as he set up the shop for opening – he wouldn’t turn the sign and unlock the doors until almost eight o’clock. iseul was lucky he’d become a morning person. the few regulars came-and-went, iseul was all smiles and light conversation as they entered, wishing them a good day as they left. it wasn’t until a particular blonde walked into the store that iseul felt strange. the girl’s aura was familiar – reminded him of someone faint in his memories – but he pushed the thought away as he smiled at the young girl; “ welcome, is there anything i can help you find ? ” he offered, standing from behind the counter.
he paused. jasmine. jasmine was … familiar. of course, he supposed it wasn’t an uncommon name – but something about the blonde hair something about the blue eyes. he lifted a brow at the other’s question – “ do we know each other ? ” he asked, quirking his head to one side. it took only a moment for realization to settle in – blonde hair, blue eyes, petite – “ i don’t think so. ” iseul offered, perhaps a bit too quickly, as he attempted to keep the smile on his face relaxed. “ i do frequent the coffee shop a few stores over, if you’ve been there before. i’m sure i’d remember you if you’d stepped in here before. ” he chuckled – “ i never forget a face that walks in here. ”
