what 2020 has taught me
you heal through trauma not from trauma.
you are in control of your own reality.
projecting your experiences on other people is not the same as being accountable.
it’s okay to ask for help when you need to.
you don’t owe anyone any explanation to anything and neither do they.
the act of love looks different to everyone.
there is no such thing as “toxic people”. Toxic behaviour is taught and applied.
it’s okay to feel sad and ashamed of your past. It is a part of your healing process and they do not define who you are.
anger and passion share the same energy. Choose which one you want to embrace and do it from a place of love, always.
saying no = sets healthy boundaries.
a loss in friendships are rebirthed as a gain in understanding yourself more.
listening and reflecting is crucial for expanding your understanding of others.
embrace and trust fear.
love is stronger than resentment.
not everyone deserves you.
don’t ever allow a person’s words to reflect on who you are. You are not a projection of someone else’s insecurities.
be gentle and choose kindness, always.
don’t be afraid of being silly, this is your inner child asking to be held. Love them and support them in the way you’ve always wanted.
don’t live with purpose when there is already purpose in living.
your partner/circle is a reflection of who you are, choose wisely.
practice gratitude once everyday, and life will become easier and more enjoyable to endure.
try something new as long as it doesn’t harm you or others around you.
have fun and enjoy every. single. moment.
