hello Spoon friends
it’s been quite some time since i were active, and i am the only one to blame for that. i will so my best to bring some new Spoons onto the blog and bring back the activity, i appreciate your patience.
Hello, I found this spoon in a dining hall of my college. It was being used to scoop jam, and I was astounded by its length and spiraling handle. Any thoughts?
now this is a curious amalgam of utensil traits! it is of course a very fancy Spoon, but i’ve seen that spiral pattern on forks, so that you would trace your fingers down it and make it spin, specifically for spaghetti. what such a trait is doing on a Spoon is a mystery to me, other than to make it very unique!
This is one of my necklace spoons. My other is smaller and is currently hiding from me but I’ll show you when she’s ready to be seen.
wonderful! such a unique shell-like design, i love it!
What do you think of sporks?
i’ve discussed them multiple times before, but i’ll answer once again happily:
as long as the basic Spoon quality is there, i’m a fan. not to say that i don’t enjoy forks, they wonderfully serve their purpose, but the Spoon-ness is what makes it shine.
Have you ever found... a Forbidden Spoon?
the only possible Spoon in which it would be forbidden that i could fathom would be a Spoon involved in a crime which has been brought in as evidence, or perhaps a Spoon only used by royalty. in that case, no i have not.Â
these beautiful Spoons may very well have been used by shakespeare. incredible, to think that even someone like him can enjoy the simple things, like a nice bowl of porridge or soup. really makes you appreciate the human condition.
a look at some renaissance-era Spoons i saw at a museum, absolutely beautiful. truly a renaissance.
apparently my mom collected spoons growing up (theres Much more but this is all i could find)
incredible, a beautiful collection
What is your favorite spoon that you own?
as i’ve said before, to pick my favorite Spoon would be like to pick my favorite child
You should read the webtoon "I don't want this kind of hero". The main hero organization is called spoon while the villain organization is knife.
fascinating! i will check it out!
What about forks? Or sporks ?
sporks i’ve discussed before, i find them to retain the basic Spoon-ness with a little flaire. forks are perfectly serviceable, i do not hate any other utensils.
this blog reminds me of my 7th grade science teacher who kept a spoon in his vest pocket every day and whenever anyone asked him why he said "it's a very important thing to have on hand"
it certainly is!
Spoons have many uses such as sturring, ice cream, And holding liqquids of various viscosities. What is your favorite use of our favorite utensil.
there is no greater joy with a Spoon as you use it to eat jello. the smooth curved hole it leaves, the perfect shape of the piece, its simply a delight
Opinions on forks? They are almost like a harmony between the spoon and fork, but lose the knifes superior cutting and the spoons light elegant carry in exchange for a unique ability to pick up foods through light impaling.
both knives and forks are perfectly fine utensils, i just find the comfort of the Spoon to be my favorite
This is my favourite spoon; it can hold lots
yknow i never considered how similar pots and Spoons are. it may not really resemble my favorite utensil, but you know what, you have a good point, we can all appreciate a nice pot
Do you have any resources for anyone just getting into spoons? Such as a basic spoon identification guide, or something along those lines.
the great thing about Spoons is the easy entry level. Spoons are open to all, its no more complicated than what you find in your drawer
Have you ever herd of spoon juice? It is a complex foodstuff, great with any meal. I mayself grow many spoon juice spoons directly imported from the Himalayas.
i feel like you may be goofing with me, but i appreciate it!
