This file covers ridiculous ‘Macie is the only one this will ever possibly happen to’ events, not actual felonies. I mean if you kill someone I kinda can’t cover you for that. I think you’d have a good reason and I’d have the getaway car ready for you.

I’d have a game plan already if I were to kill someone. Running away with you is definitely part of that plan.

Okay, you can go ahead and give it a shot but should things go south I’ll just pull a paper out of my ‘this is why mac shouldn’t go to jail’ file to read at your court hearing.

Yes, but there’s normal touching and then there’s Macie touching. They’re two completely different things.

But if he’s agreed to Macie touching, its an all inclusive package and definitely worth the positive enforcement.

We’re operating under the impression I couldn’t get him to agree to let me touch. I’m very convincing.

“That we’re soulmates and will end up married when we can’t find people to fulfill our needs? Nope, they’d hit that right on the head. Don’t see how they could get the wrong impression.” Melanie bumped her hip against Macie’s in response and laughed. It felt good to laugh again, and not just to try and trick people into thinking she was feeling good. She was. At the moment, anyway. Her smile wavered slightly at the mention of her ex but she nodded. “We’re just as bad as them, sometimes so I’d say three children if you exclude yourself. But I agree with that sentiment. So here’s my plan: we’re here during the school year so during summer half of it I can live in Jersey with you and the other half you can live in Canada with me and then we won’t be apart ever and we’ll live happily every after.” She clapped her hands together as if closing a storybook between her palms.

Macie didn’t know why but hearing Mel laugh relaxed her a bit. She knew that something was off with her best friend but also didn’t want to push her. Watching from a distance was her best tactic for the moment. “Fuck who are we kidding, I’m horrible. Definitely not an adult. Why am I even trying to be a teacher?” She thought over Mel’s plan. “That is doable. But after school we need to live together. No boys. Just us because we’re fucktastic.”
