Fans, maybe you don’t even realize it when you are doing it, but sometimes you are really getting into his personal space, with all the snuggling closely or literally flat-out touching his abs…. At the end of the day you are strangers to him, so do less groping, will ya?

Reblogging this old post in light of a new post I just made.

Always ask him before giving him a hug or a kiss on the cheek or pose with your hand on his chest. Always ask his permission first. And always remember you ARE a stranger to him, so imagine a random person in the supermarket came up to you and started pressing their face against your cheek or touching your belly, etc. Tom may put on a smile because he feels he needs to show gratitude towards his fans but don’t mistake that smile as an invitation to get physically too close for comfort. Respect his personal boundaries as you would want yours to be respected.
