The plot thickens!!!! Iām really excited to see where the story will go from here but Iām also nervous about it!
I didnāt find Sigmundās reveal about his involvement with Desmond and Project Apple to be too surprising since it was heavily hinted with him specializing in neurology but Iām curious as to what triggered his memory. This isnāt the first time he met Anya or had long conversations with her. Barbara mentioned āthe sinking feelingā while looking out the window so could it be related to the time of day or moon phases (like with Anyaās powers)? Or does Sigmund have some sort of powers too?
Either way, Sigmund only suspects Anya being Subject #7 so he isnāt actually sure yet. Right now, his notes is the linchpin that can unravel Operation Strix so I hope it doesnāt fall into the wrong hands especially Desmondās.
Endo-sensei loves writing morally-grey characters so I believe that Sigmund can have a similar narrative like Billy Squire. He couldāve started out with good intentions but then got caught up in Desmondās plans.
I know that Sigmund isnāt completely innocent but I donāt think heās complete bad either. The panel above shows his sincerity even with his aging memory. My theory is that he didnāt sign up to do these experiments, opposed Desmondās plans and walked away but his guilt made him repressed his memories about the past.
