did you read the books? if you did, are they similar to the movie or not?

I didn’t tbh, they are not available here in Argentina. Although i found the first one online a couple months ago, but I haven’t got time to actually read it, I only read a few of pages. Anyways, I know there’re some differences between the movie & the book. A few of manes and instruments for example. But as much as I know they are not so different.
