Shop the day away // Angelina and Amber
“I know, right? It’s crazy to think that life turns out exactly the opposite of the way you thought it would… But in your case, you really lucked out. Johnny’s kids seem like they’re great,” the brunette smiled. It could be scary, entering a relationship and then later marrying and automatically gaining a few step-children. Angelina thought about that often and what it was like for Brad when the two of them started dating. It wasn’t long after they began dating that Brad decided to legally adopt Angie’s two kids at the time, Maddox and Zahara. It was just the two kids at that time but that could be a lot for anyone to take on. “I’m kind of jealous. All of this downtime lately and I don’t really know what to do with myself,” the actress teased with a smirk, but she was happy her friend had so many offers thrown at her lately. It wasn’t shocking at all that so many people wanted Amber in their movies.
Angie was relieved to hear that Johnny hadn’t done anything to cause Amber to want space from him. It wasn’t that she thought poorly of her other friend but if he had done something, Amber could count on Angelina to be the first one to confront the actor about it. She didn’t want to stick her nose in other peoples’ business either though, so that was always a tough spot to be in. “Good, I’m glad he didn’t do anything because if he did, I would have been very disappointed,” the brunette laughed softly. “I won’t hit him or hurt him! I’ll leave that up to you when he steps out of line. You’re right. That’s your job,” Angie added jokingly. She playfully rolled her eyes with a nod of agreement at the whole ‘pleasure and pain’ remark she heard from the blonde. “You know, sometimes, it’s like you can read my mind.” Tucking a strand of her dark hair behind her ear, Angelina looked around when Amber reminded her friend that they were in a kids’ shop and that this wasn’t the place to be talking about marital problems or sadomasochism. “Nobody heard you!” Angelina remarked, only able to laugh at how shy Amber suddenly got about it. And it wasn’t like Vivienne understood what they were talking about anyway; she was still way too young. “Alright, Viv, I think this will have you covered for the trip. Let’s pay for these things and go look at some other stores, okay? I don’t think Amber wants to spend the entire afternoon in a little girl’s boutique.” Angie took the clothes Vivienne wanted up to the counter to pay for them. Thanking the shop owner before they left, Angie held onto Vivienne’s hand as they exited the store with Amber. “Where to now? Do you want to look around at another store or do you want to grab something to eat? It’s almost lunchtime already… Wow.”
“As if you couldn't literally have any project you want!” Amber commented on Angelina probably fake complaining about all the downtime she was having lately. Maybe the two of them should trade, maybe Amber should be the one taking said downtime for a while. Maybe it would do her and her relationship good. “No, like I said, Johnny hasn't done anything, you dont have to be disappointed in him, ever, I feel like he can literally not do wrong which is probably one of his most annoying traits!” The actress joked knowing that Angelina who knew Johnny probably even longer than Amber did knew how the blonde meant it and not took her words the wrong way. Amber really wasnt that experienced with kids and so she was never sure what topics were okay to bring up and what wasnt. Even she knew a joke about S&M wasnt for kids, but like Angie had pointed out, it wasnt like anyone heard her and it was just a thing between the two woman and no kid got harmed or bruised with ideas and memories for the rest of their lives. When Angelina told her daughter they had enough clothes Amber couldn't help but grin, she as a mother would probably had told her daughter the same and yet she was the kind of woman who was so in awe when she was at a boutique of a designer she liked that it took her forever, not to mention way too many clothes and hours until she was out of the store again. Despite what Angie had said, Amber really wouldnt have minded spending more time in the boutique for the little girl, but it was probably Anglina who wanted her daughter to stop looking around since they already had found lots of things for the adorable little girl. “You’ve got really pretty things!” Amber complimented Vivienne as they walked out and said their goodbye to the shop owner.
Time had passed incredibly fast and Amber actually had not realized how late it was until lunch was mentioned. that was the moment she realized that she was actually hungry. “Food sounds great, do yo know any good place around here? If not we can always go back in and ask the owner!” Amber suggested pointing back at the shop since she really had no idea where they were and what exactly there was to eat. Sure she had been in London before but the only places she really knew were sights or restaurants that were much more for dinner than a quick lunch with a friend and her daughter.
