Tyler had been up in their head lately with everything that seemed to be going on. At least they was keeping Black Lotus up and running. So that was a plus. Hearing Emily, Tyler glanced over at the sketchpad. “It’s actually pretty good, Em.”

“You think?” Emily smiled, glancing back at the sketches. “Thanks... maybe you’re right.” She was having a lot of doubts lately honestly. She looked up at him. “How are you doing?”

Fallon was in a bit of daze after working night shifts all week and it took her a moment before she realized that the woman was speaking to her.  She looked at the sketchbook and smiled in awe. She wasn’t sure what she had been expecting but the dress designs were beautiful. “Those are amazing.”

Emily beamed back at her. “Really?” She glanced back down at her sketches and felt a little more hopeful. “Thanks... I’ve been working pretty hard on them.”

Emily was squinting down at the sketchpad on the table in front of her. She couldn’t tell if what she was currently working on was any good or not, she was doubting quite a lot today. Looking up, she noticed them and offered a smile. “Hey -- what do you think about this?” She asked, turning the book around so they could see the dress designs she was currently working on.

“I think we both need a vacation.” Jonas stated, looking over at her for a moment. “But have you spoken to Penny since she’s been gone?” That had been a hard decision to make. To bring Penny in instead of turning her over to Emily or another family member.

“God, yeah, we do.” She chuckled, though her smile faded a little when he mentioned Penny. She sighed, shaking her head. “I called the place but... I don’t think she wants to talk to me.” To be honest, Emily had never felt like Penny’s favourite person and it seemed to feel worse after the truth came out.
