Is that HADDIE CRUZ? Wow, they do look a lot like BRUNA MARQUEZINE. I hear SHE is a SIXTEEN year old high school SENIOR. Word is they are a(n) ARISTOCRAT student at Luxor Academy. You should watch out because they can be ABRASIVE and JUDGEMENTAL, but on the bright side they can also be AMBITIOUS and INTELLIGENT. Ultimately, you’ll get to see it all for yourself.
haddie guadalupe cruz, capricorn, straight A student, forward, slytherin
bio:
haddie grew up in sunny california, with two loving parents and a little brother.
haddie is the first born daughter, though that only makes her the sixth grandchild of the cruzs’ and the second girl, making her instantly second best, something she’s been desperately trying to escape.
at the age of ten, she was able to escape it (except during holidays) due to her mother’s mom falling ill, and them moving to SoCal to be closer to her.
it’s in SoCal where she came into her own, she fully embraced the hispanic culture, and found her passion; soccer.
they would visit the cruz’s every holiday season, and every holiday season she would see the favoritism for her cousin, calliope. (deffo a marsha, marsha, marsha type of thing)
though haddie being the ambitious soul she was, couldn’t help but compete with her callie, though she always fell short, since she was just a really smart soccer player.
personality:
she is literally a slytherin hermoine, intelligent and cunning, would’ve been a ravenclaw except she can hold a grudge like no other.
she has a hard exterior, but she’s really soft on the inside.
catching her singinging in spanish, dancing the salsa, studying, or running,
she has the biggest sweet tooth in the world, can’t deny herself a sweet.
she loves to challenge people to think, she’s an activist for all things
she wants to be a laywer when she grows up and change the world
she believes in god and celicibacy (she went to an all girls catholic school okay)

When Sav saw Callie, she was tempted to pretend she didn’t, not wanting to deal with the awkwardness in the aftermath of prom. She had texted the girl afterwards to apologize for snapping at her, and considering the offer of a plastic surgeon, she considered herself at least somewhat forgiven, but she didn’t really know how well it would go over actually trying to talk to her. But considering Maddie was absolutely hopeless, Sav didn’t really want to lose both of her best friends over this, so she sucked it up to approach the other girl. She walked slowly, making eye contact with Callie when she noticed her approaching, and offering a small smile. “Hi,” Sav said softly when she got close enough. “I’m happy to see you,” she added, her lips pressed together as she tried to gauge what reaction she was going to get. “Would’ve been better if we had been able to actually have fun at prom.”
calliope was surprised that sav had approached her, she had thought about approaching her for picture’s sake, though because their texts had left the air a bit stale, she wasn’t sure how she felt about the whole ordeal. relaxing her features gently as she returned the small smile, “hi” she greets, raising an eyebrow gently, “yeah?” something was particularly amusing to calliope, perhaps the fact that sav was acting in such of way, that was completely unnatural, “i’m happy to see you too, congratulations” she congratulates with a wide smile, into where her amusement was fully visible at the mention of prom, reminding her, “no, marcello?”
Who: Open. @luxorstarters
When: During convocation dinner.
Where: Dining hall.
Chico had just retrieved his food, going to find himself a spot as far away from his family as he could. “Bro, like how do you guys eat the food like this all the time.” He asked the person next to him. “I’d be forreal ordering Subway or McDonalds every day.” He said with a laugh, obviously disgusted at the ritsy seeming food. “My school has a bunch of vending machines in the cafe.” He continued talking at the person.
haddie had just reached for her glass when he started speaking, her brow instantly furrowing at his food choices, “how do you eat that all the time? you know it has no nutrition and just a bunch of empty calories?” she points out, glancing at his plate, to see what he got instead, “vending machines and fast food?” she could feel her snob peeking it’s way in, “so you prefer processed over cooked?”
WHO: @itshaddiecruz ( Calliope Cruz )
WHEN: The graduation ceremony, post-reveal
WHERE: The grad ceremony itself
The chaos that had ensued around the secrets was just beginning to settle down, and students names were still being called to walk across the stage when Lévi had spotted Callie only a few feet away. He had stepped away from his family’s spot in the crowd a while ago. Perhaps still pathetically feeling as though if he was at a fair distance from the others, maybe he would be able to spot his sister in the sea of strangers - somehow hiding just under their noses. But mainly, he was mindlessly watching the ceremony unfold, wondering what other chaotic thing would arise before the day came to an end. He had merely heard about The Churchill Circle the previous year, and of course about The Crusade after the stunt they had pulled with the plane. But given that either group seemed keen on keeping their harassment a secret from the families, he hadn’t expected to witness something unfold when he was invited back for another family weekend. He turned his gaze back up to the stage for a few seconds before casually walking off sideways to narrow the space between him and Alek’s friend. “Hey, Callie, right?” He began. “I’m Lévi - um - Alek’s brother…”
calliope was in a relatively good mood for her cousin’s graduation, maybe because she’d actually have this memory, and it was nothing like hers, no pressure was on her, she was on good terms with just about everyone, more than happy to be there for haddie, who was going through a weird, ‘high school is ending funk’, something she didn’t see coming from her ambitious cousin. she had been waiting for the pamphlets, to secure one for her aunt, though shocked to see what was printed in the ones handed out. at the outburst of many parents, her eyes went to haddie, offering her a reassuring smile, she was still graduating, despite the chaos that was brewing.
once it was all settled, they waited for haddie’s name to be called, and while they cheered, a small wave of relief washed over her that, she was able to do that, and that part of the day was over, though now she needed a moment to herself with all the excitement. as the other names were being called, she slipped away from her family to take a moment before haddie returned, she had just closed her eyes when she heard someone call her name, turning to see who, raising an eyebrow as she didn’t recognize him immediately, “hey..” she says warily, a small smile on her face, not sure why he had approached her, perking up a little at the mention of alek, her eyes casting gently over the crowd as if to spot the girl, before returning back to him, a little sad she hadn’t seen her, “right, i’m callie, nice to meet you” her eyes taking a moment to asses their facial similarities, “you’re a lot taller in person” she offers with a soft smile, unsure of what to say, weird circumstances to finally meet over.
haddie’s mother and brother are not in attendance due to her mother being well into her last trimester, and neither are the other cruz men, surgeries, to be expected in a family of surgeons, though a big party is awaiting her back home in california, along with a major gift.
Father: Stefano Alexander Cruz || age :45 || plastic surgeon || Adam Rodriguez
Nate’s eyebrows shot up on his face at the girl’s answer, quite possibly the last answer he was expecting. “Who are you fighting with?” he asked - not in a condescending way at all. In fact, his tone was almost impressed. “And I did,” he grumbled, tipping his chin up a little, as if the angle change would disguise the bruise at all. “People keep saying that. I promise, he’s worse off than I am. Just got in a few good hits.”
“i don’t fight anyone” haddie clarifies, “i just put people in their place” shrugging her shoulders, her tone nonchalant, “on the field, mostly” it wasn’t really a big deal, she was known as bloody haddie on the field, soccer wasn’t for the faint of heart. raising an eyebrow at the bruise, not believing he iced it, “not for very long then” she comments snidely, almost teasingly, “i believe you” she says, though her tone suggested otherwise, “why were you guys fighting?”
To Sav’s surprise, Haddie came through on saying she was going to show up to the party. She honestly hadn’t expected her to, but there she was, with chips and water. Sav didn’t really care if there was chips and water available to people, but she supposed it was responsible, so she let Haddie set it up with only a few teasing comments, before making sure the other girl had a drink in her hand, refilling it whenever she tried to get away with being done with it.
Finally Sav, none to sober herself, weaved through the other students to pop in front of Haddie, two shot glasses in her hands and a bottle of tequila under her arm. What she had been giving Haddie was definitely strong for the other girl, but Sav…was trying to block a lot out, so she had been requiring the strong shit. And now it was time to chase that with straight tequila. “You promised Callie you’d do a shot for her. A Callie shot is like….seven shots back to back. I know you didn’t listen to her outfit advice already and I’m not letting you back out on the shots too,” Sav said, her drunken rant probably not making much sense, but she didn’t care, pouring them both shots (there was definitely spillage of tequila due to her unsteady hand), and holding one out to Haddie with a grin. “Come on. Drink up.”
“a callie shot?” she repeats, almost surprised that her recovering cousin had her own personal shot quantity. “back to back?” blinking in astonishment, what had calliope talked her into, shaking her head insistently, “i’m not callie” a giggle escaping her lips, “i’m haddie, i take one and done” still shaking her head as sav continued, “you want me to take off my jacket? i’ll take off my jacket” haddie says, taking the jacket off in hopes of getting her off this multiple shots train, leaving her in a black bralette, only to turn back to see the overpoured tequila shot, looking at sav uneasy, before letting out a soft groan, “okay, okay” she says, taking the shot from the girl, spilling some herself, “to callie” before tossing the shot back and making the worst face of all faces, “oh my god” she begins to cough at the burning sensation that went down her throat, “oh my god” she repeats, reaching for something to chase it down, which of course was more alcohol, the refill of her last drink, “you totally set me up” she laughs,
“And if I don’t?” Marcello challenged, his amused look growing at Haddie’s demonstration of their boundaries. In contrast to her seriousness, he was filled with mischief and teasing remarks. He chuckled softly at her eye roll, his eyes planted firmly on hers as she corrected him. “You should try it sometime. It might distract from the fact you’re such a buzzkill,” Marcello sneered, finally turning around and backing away from her. He supposed she had a valid point, it was unfair of him to hog the pool after having enjoyed it for so long. At least, he assumed it had been a long time since he wandered here. Still, the way she taunted him only encouraged his rude behavior. At her suggestion, Marcello grinned charmingly. “You’re that desperate to get shown up by me?” he cooed, staring at the ceiling as he floated across the pool. Even if Haddie had somehow beaten him, Marcello had no intentions of giving up his peace to her. Yet, he admittedly looked forward to her look of anger when he refused to leave. “Fine. You sure you don’t need a head start?”
“you don’t want to find out” it was meant as a warning more than a threat, though if he didn’t head her warning, it would simply be an action. “if only i cared what you think” haddie quipped with a blank stare, she didn’t care that people thought she was a buzzkill, at least she had a pulse and a gpa that would support her ambitions and not lower her inhibitions like his chosen past times.
rolling her eyes once more at his chester like grin, “i know you’re used to desperate girls, but I am not one of them” she responds, “and i don’t lose” she concludes, ignoring the rest of his shit talking with an annoyed sigh, watching as he floated carelessly on his back, she couldn’t wait until she was alone, “three laps, whoever finishes the third lap first, gets the pool” she clarifies the rules once more, as she got into position against the wall, waiting for him to get on his side so they could start, “on the count of three” she says with a smirk, “you can count that high right?”
“I think we all deserve it after this year, especially the last few months,” she stated, shaking her head as she put her clean clothes away. “I swear, if they try to blame us for what happened, I think I am going to lose my shit,” she added, putting her hands on her hips as she turned to face the other girl. “Exactly. And some of the best pizza ever is found in New York,” she pointed out with a bright smile. “What do you want to eat?”
haddie agreed, this past year was a bunch of nonsense, what a great way to spend her senior year. a scoff flew from her lips at the suggestion of the faculty blaming the student body for what occurred, “they’d be lucky not to be sued and shut down” rolling her eyes gently, at the useless adults that surrounded them and ‘educated’ them, though she returned the smile to kenzie, “pizza sounds great !” she hadn’t had pizza since they left the states, really trying to diverse herself in the food culture of the places they went, “pizza and wings?”
haddie had shown up early to the party, mostly to help set up and bring the chips and water she told sav she would bring. she felt so out of place, mostly because of her attire and the fact that she even there to partake in a ‘social’ life as calliope called it. alas, calliope was right, she needed to have some fun after the island, and maybe, just maybe, this was the type of fun she needed, though she knew she had a long night ahead of her.
as people began to show up, she stayed near sav, watching as she mingled and took part of her hostess duties, which wasn’t limited to, giving haddie a drinks, that certainly contained alcohol, and it didn’t taste too bad, she contributed it to the mixer, taking casual sips, throughout the evening, hoping she could avoid the shot that she promised to her cousin with the drink.
and that might’ve been the plan but after she finished the first drink, she was feeling it, singing along with the music, and even swaying a little, it was really a great party, her eyes caught sav making her way towards her with another drink, “oh no” shaking her head with a tipsy giggle “i said one shot, not two drinks” a shot she had yet to take, saving it for the end of the night, though she didn’t really know when the party ended, usually having left by now. @sav-grey
