I don't wanna talk about it, mate
I didn't even have to know, I was perfectly fine not knowing. So fuck off.
DUST IN THE WIND | a mix for the innocent lives lost in the wizarding war. [listen]
"I close my eyes Only for a moment And the moment’s gone”
SKINNY LOVE | a mix for warm tea and warmer hearts. [listen]

Older Potter looks a bit suspicious, coming home looking so bad... Doesn't he?
Why of course, dearest anon. I mean, have you seen him? He’s good looking beyond belief. No normal good looking boy comes home looking like he lost a bar fight a bear. I bet, he’s up to something. Probably having to do with his overly large ego, or his father-like curly hair. Either way, I’m sure we will find out soon enough, Potter can’t keep his loud mouth closed for long.
So Mia and James? It always seems to end back up there. Then again she spent an awful lot of time with the Nott boy at the Masquerade. But isn't she still with Gawain?
Mia what happened to you? Weren’t you Head Girl at some point? My how the mighty have fallen into a ditch. Mia and James doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Those two have had their little roller coaster ride since their seventh years. So they are probably hooking up behind the dumpster. Darius Nott? Well that wouldn’t surprise me either, she’s barking up the tree of those bad boys. Good girl’s do always want to go bad. Lastly, her and Gawain? Maybe they had a falling out? You never hear of those couples that never do anything wrong, only those that bend the rules.
James, James. Why are you rekindling old flames when you could be lighting new ones? You’re an auror, after all, and the son of The Boy Who Lived. I’m sure any girl would fall all over themselves to sleep with you. But no. you’re into the emotionally unavailable ones. Is there a reason behind that, Potter? You might want to give that a bit of thought.

I'm sorry, I... I just forgot.

Friends?: Mia + James
"Actually no, she moved out about a month ago. So it’s just me." Mia was grateful for that. She didn’t want to have to explain James’s appearance and overnight stay to anyone. For now things were perfectly innocent but they hadn’t quite been alone together yet. She unlocked the door and held it open for James before turning on the light and shutting it behind her. Thank Merlin I cleaned it. She laughed to herself as she remembered the state of the room only hours before. “Well here we are.” She motioned around the room before heading towards the nearest door. “I’m sure you remember but this is the spare room. I’m of course, upstairs.” Mia wasn’t tired and had a feeling she wouldn’t be going to bed any time soon.
James smiled softly as he toke in the place again, slowly following after her. "Of course." He mumbled in response, peeking inside the room. And it looked as comfy as it did last time. He remembered that, from his last stay. The blankets were puffy and probably warm and cozy. What he'd do to share a bed like that and wake up to her buried in them. It was a nice thought and it made him smile. James unbuttoned the jacket of his suit and threw it on a nearby chair with his belt. "I hate dressing up." He sighed, enjoying the relief from the too fitted outfit. He looked Mia over, his gaze stopping at the ends of her dress. So much for getting a peak at what shoes she was wearing under the long dress. "Uh..." He made his way back up. "You going to change or do you need a hand?" He offered, smiling.

"It’ll kill you, you know." She sighed before looking over to him. "The cigarette I mean." Everyone from the party seemed to be straggling out, some drunker than others. It was actually quite funny to see some of the Ministry workers stumble, considering every time she’d seen them they were always well put together. She kept stealing glances at him as they walked along in silence. She wanted nothing more than to hold his hand but until she straightened things out with Gawain that couldn’t happen. You can’t be having these thoughts. This is what got you into trouble last time. When it came to James, she could never think straight. It was even harder to breathe around him sometimes. “I had fun. I’m glad you came. I’m also glad you’re here now.” She could see her door a few hundred feet ahead of them.
James shrugged and soon as he stepped out, lit the stick. He toke in a deep breath and let it out from the side of his mouth, the side opposite from Mia. He may be pissy but it wasn't towards her and he wasn't going to be a douche. Surprisingly, he didn't glance at her once. He'd be lying if he said he didn't want to hold her hand but it wasn't hard to hold back. "Yeah, I'm glad I went too." He had really went to see her dressed up anyways. He didn't really have any other intention. As they neared her door, he put out the cigarette. "Roommates in?" He remembered the last talk he had with one of her friends and he didn't really want to tell Mia about it.
Friends?: Mia + James
When the clock struck ten, Ministry officials that had been in attendance started to usher everyone out. “Please be in your homes by 10:30pm. If you are found roaming the streets, there will be consequences.” Mia quickly looked up at James, they were still in an embrace although the music had stopped long before. She dropped her hands to her side, the tabloids would have a field day if they caught wind of it, although part of her didn;t mind. As she made her way to the door, she stopped to look back at James. “Well are you coming?”
James watched the Ministry officials, trying to distract himself. He shoved his hands into his pockets when Mia let go and toke a deep breath. He watched her start walking towards the door but it didn't register to follow till he heard her speak. He didn't answer for a minute, lowering his eyes. Ignoring the fact that staying over might just stab at the already open wound of rejection, he smiled and nodded. "Yeah... Yeah, sorry." James said. He walked over to her and the doors, pulling out a cigarette from his pocket.
What's the point of a Masquerade?
"I’m a Quidditch Player, James." She laughed before taking his arm. Their linked arms just felt right to Mia. “I think it’s high time I was the bad influence.”
James hummed in response, as if her being a player had anything to do with it. "Then I leave tonight's mischief up to you." He told her, patting her hand as he led her through the crowds. "Stand here, don't get pushed around." He warned before heading over to the long table. He greeted the man behind the counter, probably knowing him, before coming back to the girl. "You're welcome." He said, handing her a glass.
What's the point of a Masquerade?
She blushed. “Thanks and yes. Merlin knows I need something, even if it is just punch.” She added with a wink.
James snorted with laughter as he offered her his arm. "And I was suppose to be the bad influence." He said.
