Just reblog this man. You’ll see why
Dear Black Men,
It’s okay to cry sometimes
You don’t have to fit stereotypes
You are “Black enough”
It’s okay to like skateboarding
You can like other genres of music
Your skin tone doesn’t make you less than anyone else
It’s okay to love yourself
Step out of your comfort zone occasionally
Follow your dreams
It may not be easy but it isn’t impossible
Don’t put down Black women.
Protect Black women
Its okay if you like women of another race but don’t date them out of spite of your own people
Make sure that if you’re dating a woman outside your race that they aren’t fetishizing you or using you to rebel against their parents/family/exes
You have so much to live for
It’s okay to not know happens next. Perseverance is in your blood, believe me you’ll bounce back
You can be successful without rapping or playing a sport
Not liking sports doesn’t make you weird
You are not stupid
Showing emotion doesn’t make you weak
Caring for your fellow Black brother doesn’t make you gay
There is nothing wrong with being gay
Your current circumstances doesn’t determine your future
Don’t be afraid to speak up
yo being black and depressed is hard as fuck. being black with anxiety is hard as fuck. being black with a chronic illness or disability is hard a fuck. everybody expects you to be ‘strong’ at all times and no one sees black people as complex or nuanced enough to be capable of suffering. no one ever thinks we could possibly need help. and if you’re a black woman, the moment you stop thinking about others and try to tend to yourself you’re a selfish lazy ungrateful bitch.
support black people, esp women, who need help. don’t just call us strong or tell us we’ll get through it, help us. protect us. uplift us. allow us to be beings capable of suffering. give us the same space you’d give white women to express our pain and be there for us like you would for anyone else.
don’t just like this, reblog it!
Intimacy
You are growing from this. You will heal in time.

this is called depression
Life right now 😩
The brain is an organ. Mental illnesses are illnesses of that organ. Brain scans show that there is a physical difference between a healthy brain and a sick brain. Telling someone “You’re not really sick. It’s all in your head.” is like telling someone with asthma “It’s not real, it’s all in your lungs.” The brain is an organ that can malfunction as much as any other organ.
PLEASE READ THIS OVER AND OVER AND OVER
I wish this was common knowledge *sigh*
What is Loving Jebs (now itsjebbeh) about
So my blog will be about just whatever I find that’s interesting and myself . It will be about nothing and then something the same damn time . I’m usually a shy person and I keep to myself most of the time so this will be my way of putting myself out there and using my voice in ways I have never done before …… so let me tell y'all about me -I’m in my late twentys-how you pronounce my name is Jeh-beh - my mom is from Liberia and my dad is from the states -born and raised in Tx - I come from a large family with plenty of siblings -graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in Cinematography -lover of Arts in many forms (so I may post work that I have done or pieces I have wrote) - currently work in a call center which is taking my soul slowly 😂 so this will also be my journey to start doing what I actually love to do❤️ - late bloomer (previously the ugly duckling) and learning how to love myself so if you see me post an obnoxious amount of selfies it’s because of the new found self love ❤️ - I struggle with depression/anxiety(don’t we all)😩 - love music -I love makeup and I might make a YouTube later on - I’m extra friendly so I like meeting new people - this is my only form of social media for right now but I will post my ig,sc, and Facebook at a later time - I will treat this blog as my inside thoughts … the good, the bad and the ugly. - I’m a weightgainer so I’m trying to go from skinny to thicker than a snicker 😂 This will be my open journey on how I find myself , overcome my mental obstacles, and to become the person I want to be at the end of the day. This is me. Jebbeh
You back-stabbed me, and it took all the courage within me to remove the dagger and not stab you back with it.
