Ooh, just noticed something really neat about Shin & Lena's conversation. In volume 3, it's Shin who speaks first and presumes that this at-the-time mystery alba woman is a commander

The emphasis is on Shin, and how he perceives this intruder into the mental pit he'd thrown himself into.

But in the episode in goes down slightly differently - and much better in my opinion.

Lena not only identifies herself as a commander, but as the commander.

Singular.

She is all that remains & as such commands everyone who resists the legion advance in what remains of the Republic. The forces under her command fight under her leadership, and many die doing so but they fall knowing Lena will attempt to make the best out of each and every death.

She's accepted the burdens of leadership and command, and whilst her ideals may carry her forward, each step is bought in the blood of those who look to her for guidance. A true blood-stained queen.

I may make fun of Callisto and calling him motherfucker and trash and stuff like that, but the amount of love i have for that man and his love for Penelope knows no bounds. Like look at these moments from the novel:

Like yes Callisto may be the ruthless man with homicidal tendencies™️, but he’s also the man who refused to say cuss words in front of his pregnant fiancée/wife because he thought the baby would hear him. He’s a fucking disaster and I love him😭🤧

also, I LOVE HOW HE INTRODUCED SHINO TO SAI “WELL UM HE’S SHINO”

and, I love how SHINO opens up to naruto, it’s so cute cause Shino is such a serious person but got butthurt when naruto wasn’t able to recognize him immediately after 3 years and that naruto doesn’t know anything about him!
