When we realize Christ purchased our emotions from the dead along with everything else, it’ll change the way we use them.

Introverts do talk a lot depending on how comfortable they are with you. And I mean like we can talk ALOT . It’ll surprise you.

Someone lusting after you makes you one of a million, not one in a million. Being touched sensually or sexually will never heal you. It’ll only numb your pain in delusion for a moment and make you feel worse afterwards.

Ask God where your eyes should be looking, where your soul should be focused.

Grace says, ‘I love you.’ And Grace says, ‘I love you, more.’

Don’t fall in love with the light inside of me or the bright colours on my skin, don’t fall for my calm surface or my gentle insides, only to wake up one day and realize that it’s always calm before a storm and that you can only see the light if there’s darkness in other parts.

You are like thunder, a stormy wonder, and I am naive, wearing my heart on my sleeves You are the eye of a hurricane, I am a leaf on the ground, spinning around in the rain, hopelessly longing to be found.

She liked messy beds and movie nights without any lights on. She liked the quiet company of a few good friends. Her idea of love was gentle and silent, like a whisper of a touch. Some things are magical and magic, contrary to popular opinion, is often found in the most ordinary of places.

Jesus takes me on adventures for which I would never willingly volunteer if I didn’t know that He’s completely good.

I’m not a courageous person, but I do know the source of all courage, Jesus Christ.

This is the time to just soak yourself in the word of God. Do your own little bible study for yourself. Get yourself spiritually fit for the new season ahead. Remember it’s a new year soon. Time to start planning ahead. Write some goals down and start doing them. Get your mind focus on God and He will direct your path.

She’s not just a girl. She’s the only evidence of God that I can find on this entire planet.
St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), Dir. Joel Schumacher (via wordsnquotes)
God has defended you in battles you didn’t even know existed. He has fought for you, stood on the front line for you and filled the gap for you, and called the Heavens into prayer on your behalf. He has orchestrated battles in such a way - to reveal Himself more to you. Historically, He isn’t in the business of doing something for nothing.. Everything has purpose - even the things you do not see or know of. For example.. When the Israelites stood at the edge of the Red Sea, with the water before them and the Egyptian army behind them, no doubt it all seemed like God had forgotten them, but it was indeed all brought on by God Himself. See, sometimes a battle that is seemingly against us, is in fact created and manufactured intentionally for us, and for our growth. God fights for us not only in that which comes against us, but also He fights for us to face battles He intends to use to shape us - God developed, purpose-filled battles. Even in the midst of what seems like hopelessness and a tunnel without any foreseeable end, God is there, standing in on your behalf and believing for victory, and it is in the blur of the battle that the lessons are often learned. God hardened Pharaohs heart to pursue the fleeing slaves, rather than allowing them an easy release. He had purpose in provoking the battle. God wanted to make it clear that He was Lord, and took the glory over Pharaoh, who the Israelites had known to rule and reign for so long. He wanted to teach them that He is their deliverer, and their salvation. He needed the Israelites to to know that what was impossible for them, was not impossible for Him, and that in Him is where their trust and patience needed to lie. Often you can see battles as being between you and the circumstance, when actually it’s between the circumstance and God, much like the battle wasn’t between the Egyptians and the Israelites, but between the Egyptians and God. When you remember God is fighting with you and for you, you can have the seemingly unattainable peace when fighting in the armor of God - because your confidence is in Him, who will fight your battles and bring you safely home. (Jude 1:24-25)
