Dozens of people were killed in an earthquake Tuesday that rocked Mexico City and surrounding states. The earthquake toppled buildings, buckled roadways and knocked out power to millions.

A second massive quake struck Mexico this morning.

We cannot stress enough how urgent the need around the world is right now. Between floods and killings in Bangladesh, waterborne diseases across the still-flooded parts of south Asia, and total devastation in the Caribbean (just to name a FEW), international relief organizations who usually rush to provide aid are finding themselves stretched incredibly thin–to those waiting for help, dangerously thin.

For those who survived the initial strike of these disasters, the real battle is just beginning. Many people around the world are still in need of the very barest necessities: food, water, shelter, medical care and safety.

We urge you to donate whatever you can as soon as you can. For many of these victims, waiting is simply not an option.
