Fake Love Theory

So I found this simplistic theory on Twitter and it does make a lot of sense.

I can somehow see the links of how even the past MVs are all connected with the new highlight reel and now Fake Love here links them all, filling up the missing pieces. BigHit was already started giving us low key hints in DNA including the lyrics as well as the objects that symbolises the fears of each character in fake love, the confusing clues only turned out to be more puzzling with euphoria. Fake love seems to have clarified many of the theories. BigHit knows how to mess up with our heads very well.

Possible Harry Potter theory that the husband and I were talking about today.

What if the first book is a foreshadowing of the following 6 books? Here’s what I mean, after Harry, Ron, and Hermione get past Fluffy there’s a number of tasks ahead of them to get to the Sorcerer’s Stone.

First they fall into the plant Devil’s Snare, in the second book Harry and Ron have a run in with the Whomping Willow in the second book.

Second is the broom and the winged keys, which could represent the Quidditch match where Harry is attacked by all of those Dementors in PoA.

Third is the chess match set up by McGonagall, which is referred to as a graveyard before they realize what is happening. Very similar to the literal graveyard Harry finds himself in after being transported there after touching the Tri Wizard cup in the fourth book.

Then they run until a troll, who was already knocked out but could loosely foreshadow Gwarp, Hagrid’s half-brother, in the fifth book.

After that they run into Snape’s contribution to the protection of the stone, a collection of potions and logic. In the sixth book we have a new Potions Master, Professor Slughorn, and Professor Snape moves on to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. The sixth book focuses heavily on Slughorn and the Potions book Harry finds, which used to belong to the Half-Blood Prince. The real Potion Master himself.

And finally Harry finds himself face to face with Voldemort, and the final book is all about Harry’s final battle where he faces Voldemort for the very last time.

So yeah, just a thought.

so i was thinking.....

you know how when harry sees james, lily, remus and sirius w/ the resurrection stone? and remus & sirius look “younger than he’s ever seen them,” but lily & james are described to be wearing the clothes that they died in?

is JKR trying to imply that enough of remus & sirius died the day james & lily died that when they came “back” they were their 21 year old selves?

like, although remus & sirius lived, it could be argued that what made them them died on october 31st, 1981.

i mean, sirius lost james and lily, who were betrayed by peter and was sentenced to life in azkaban for a crime he didn’t commit with the knowledge that: a) peter had gone free and b) remus, his only remaining living friend, thought he was the reason james and lily (and “peter”) were dead and he has to live with that for TWELVE YEARS. by the end of that, he’s not really sirius anymore.

and remus, poor sweet remus, he thinks that james, lily and peter have been killed, murdered, because of sirius who is supposed to be their best friend and who he loved so much and he went from having an amazing group of friends who loved him and supported him when he thought that no one ever would to nothing in one night, and he lived for twelve years alone. twelve years of full moons alone, always remembering what used to be and believing sirius was the one who ruined it.

so, i think it could be argued that, by the end of the twelve years, remus wasn’t really remus anymore either

so essentially, remus, sirius, james and lily “died” in 1981

When Mrs. Norris is temporarily paralyzed after indirectly seeing the basilisk in Chamber Of Secrets and Filch at first believes she’s been killed, he breaks down into violent sobs. That is not how a grown man, particularly one as usually heartless as Filch, reacts to a dead cat. Once he finds out she’s only been petrified, he still viciously attacks Harry, who he believes to be responsible. No one outside of a Cathy comic has ever loved a cat more than Argus Filch.

But it actually gets weirder. To say that Mrs. Norris is an exceptionally smart cat would be like saying Superman is an exceptionally strong dude. Filch and Mrs. Norris often work as a team, patrolling different areas of the castle for misbehaving students. Getting caught by Mrs. Norris is as bad as getting caught by Filch, because she will fetch him straight away. This means that Mrs. Norris has memorized the school’s rules, understands them, and recognizes when a student is breaking them. In the first book, Hagrid tells Harry and Ron that he suspects Filch has trained Mrs. Norris to follow him specifically. You’ll recognize all of these as things cats can’t do. (It’s been theorized that Mrs. Norris might be part Kneazle, a cat-like magical creature with superfeline intelligence, but Rowling has shot it down.) She also shows up on the Marauder’s Map, while other animals don’t. It’s almost like she’s a person in the body of a cat in a magical universe where that exact thing can definitely happen.

“The map showed Peter Pettigrew” - “I doubt that is possible.”

But what if it isn’t only impossible because Remus thought Peter Pettigrew was dead at this point - what if it is because the boys never used their real names in the map?

When it came to the map, it had never been Peter Pettigrew. It had always been Wormtail.

Just as Remus Lupin had always been Moony, and James Potter had been Prongs, and Sirius Black had always been Padfoot.

But the map has its own intelligence - from the moment Peter had betrayed his friends, his family, the map would change his name into his birth name.

It wasn’t able to change the introductions (and the Snape-insults) as the love the boys held for one another was too big, too deep, but it was able to forever take part of the legacy from him.

And that is why in that moment, Remus began to realise they had all been wrong.

(I know this is probably proven wrong by the canon, but I still like the idea of it.)
