Wow you really aren’t fun.
Well it’s not that you aren’t fun you just have a way of sucking the fun out of things. Question: why is that?
Fun isn't really my thing.

Oh-
I, um, I'm sorry... Were you talking to me?
Oh hey there Sally, were you talking to me? I’m sorry I was a bit distracted.
Oh, Maria... I, um, no... No I wasn't.
Oh...
So, don’t think we’ve
officially met then. Burton. (Holds out his hand).
No... I, um, I don't think so, sir. I'm... I'm Sally.
Hmm...
Not bad, if I remember correctly.
Not bad... But not good?
It looks like I have the night off on Halloween.
Shall I purchase a costume? Oh wow, the choices!
You could make your own costume.
Hmm...
Chocolate chip is really good. I was almost certain I was going to get lemon, but I just spotted some banana-nut ones. Umm it’s a hard decision. I never really acquired a taste for tea, it can be helpful in some occasion, I’m more of a a coffee person.
I guess, I mean people must have tons of different reasons to be at the forest, so what they do is obviously different from one another. People watching it’s a good hobby.
You could get two and eat one now and save the other for later, or you could come back tomorrow and get the one you didn't get today. Helpful? I wasn't aware tea could be helpful.
There are more peculiar things than people's idiosyncrasy's in the forest. It's the ones who do the same thing you've got to watch for.
Sew We Meet Again | Sally and Belle
After deciding that the back room needed reorganization Isabelle had found herself spending more and more time thinking of clever ways to get the task done without neglecting the front of the shop. Harrison was still recovering, Belle missed him dearly, but she still felt guilty about what had possibly been her main concern upon learning that he had been taken, she had been selfish and she wasn’t sure if she could face him after finally decided to let go. She had no point in clinging to the idea that he had been her only friend, because it wasn’t true, for one he only ever saw her as an employee, and two she had realized she was not alone.
Years of having people talk behind her back, of pointing and gossiping had made her shut herself from the world. It wasn’t until she had stopped blaming the world and deciding it was time to take control of her life that she had discovered that not everyone was even aware of the mistakes of her past. She was enjoying life as best as she could, even if at the end of the day she was still trapped in a world where she was sure that wishing for a happy ending was not going to be enough, she still felt grateful for one more day. Isabelle had hit a point where she just survived day by day, but suddenly she discovered that the important thing was live, with everything that had been happening no one knew if this day was going to be their last.
People had volunteered to help, she had spent a lovely afternoon with Mr. Carter, he had a way for organizing things and she was very impressed at his ideas and suggestions, they had done a marvelous job but there were still things to be done. Belle had been planning how best to implement all she had learned, so when there seemed to be a down time in the shop, she would go in the back and move things around. She had just made a couple of sales and when she was certain clients wouldn’t show up in a while, once you’ve spent certain time in sales you learn all the downtimes for business, she had headed to the back room.
If someone had told her that the back room was going to look like this last week, she would’ve have laughed, it was a mess, but now it looked like a well stocked pristine room, she wasn’t sure how Harrison would react, but it would make their lives simpler. Belle was atop of the rolling stairs when she heard the bells chime, she made her way down as fast as she could and made her way to the front, before she made it to the counter she said, “Welcome to the HatShop” and smiled brightly, then she heard a familiar voice say hello and her smile grew, “Oh Sally! what a surprise!” she move towards the girl a gave her a small hug, “it’s so nice of you to stop by, do you want some tea?”
Sally was startled by the embrace, simply because she hadn't expected it. Only two people she was acquainted with ever engaged her in physical contact, the first being Chess and the second her father. And the latter was always negative, so contact from anyone else was, quite simply, startling. After the short and, what Sally considered awkward, embrace, she smiled at Belle.
"Tea? Um, sure, that sounds great." She nodded slightly before taking in her surroundings. The shop was filled with hats of all different shapes and sizes, some for men and some for women. There were plain, under the radar hats and others, more extravagant than any she had seen around town. And the craftsmanship they held was exquisite, with all of the detail that even the simplest hats contained.
Sally wanted to praise Belle on all of the wonderful hats, though she wasn't sure how to go about it, or if it would be appreciated, so instead, she opted to remain silent, clutching at the bag filled with fabric and looking straight ahead, following Belle.
I never thought I'd say this,
Please don’t think I’m being nosy, I never ask personal questions. I know that somethings are for us and us alone.
It's... It's fine. Really.
"There's a pain in my gut."
"Well, I’ve managed to get pretty far down, though I would guess its a couple hundred feet deep, mademoiselle." Chess spoke with a smile as he walked along side her looking down into the cavern as he gave a quick smile, stepping aside as his fingers intertwined around a lantern he had left upon finding the abandoned gem mine he lifted it up. His body blocking the sight as he snapped his fingers causing a flame to flicker to life within the housing. "Watch this."
Chess walked back to Sally’s side as he bent over grabbing a rope that he had tied off to the edge. Lowering the lamp down into the hole before them the light reflected off the edge of the gems causing them to shine brighter as the room filled with colored spots that seemed to dance as the light descended.
Sally gasped at all the colours reflecting from the gems. It made the already beautiful cavern even more so, as the colours seemed even more pristine in the light from the lantern. "One day, if I ever... get out," she began, looking from the hole in front of them to Chess with almost reluctance, "we should come back and find the end, regardless of how long it takes. Just see if it actually leads anywhere." Taking a half-step towards a wall, she broke off a thinner pink-ish crystal, with a little difficulty, and wrapped it in her handkerchief before placing it in one of her dresses pockets as a souvenir. It would, of course, end up with all the other items she obtained from their outings, usually from the magic tricks he performed. "This place..." she began, trailing off as she began venturing further, keeping her hand on the wall, leaving Chess behind with the lantern.
Oh...
"Amaretto?" The question was basic, simply relating to the fact he had no clue what the drink was.
"Yeah, amaretto. It’s good. It’s sweet and tastes like almonds. You know it’s good because it’s Italian."
I-
I have to get out.
I just have to...
I'm so bored.
Why not darling?
Survival is, generally, more important that enjoyment.
Bloody delinquents.
I’m pretty good at reading people, and when that fails, I do my research to make sure.
Hm... Interesting. How exactly does one... read people?
Shouldn’t i be the judge of that?
Um, no...?
I wish I could just go home...
Because you haven’t done anything wrong. Not that I can see.
Oh I always do things wrong.
"There's a pain in my gut."
"Look at you ms Sally Silk, renewed with life." Chess mused as he followed along behind her before catching up with her pace. "No torch, but luckily enough I have plenty of matches." The magician pulled out a large stick from the inside of his jacket pocket, materializing it as it entered the visible range. It would look like a magic trick, like any other handkerchief maneuver as he pulled a match out striking it against the stick’s surface. Crackling to life with a little help of Chess’ ability the flame sprouted forth consuming the edge of the new ‘modified’ torch.
"Come now, I have something I want to show you." Chess spoke as he moved the flame before them, leading the way into the cavern as he moved to the larger opening. The insides filled with crystalline structures of multiple colors, the light reflecting within their images as the varying colors sparkled through the cave. "I found it on my travels about the shore, it seems to be the back entrance into an untapped mine. You must keep this a secret, oui?"
Following, Sally couldn't help the gasp that escaped her lips as she took in all the natural colours and shapes of the crystalline walls. It was unlike anything she had ever seen, especially anything natural. The vibrant greens of the forest paled in comparison to the plethora of colours surrounding the two of them. "Yeah, I can do that," she half-whispered, still awestruck by the cavern. "How deep do you think it goes?" She asked as she moved ahead of Chess, hanging onto the wall as she began forward into the chasm.
