I was here with Melena yesterday… do you want to try a game? Or are you in the mood for a snack?
I think so, I could eat. Maybe we could get something to it and then take a look a what games they have.

I think so, I could eat. Maybe we could get something to it and then take a look a what games they have.
"So, I see i'm not the only one..."
"True, but it also means a couple of job openings, which is always good. For the citizens, not for the crown, but you know that’s taxpayers money put to good use…"
"Ohhh I didn’t know business went down during the carnival… let’s just hope is the hype of it being something new."
"That's a fair point, as long as someone is doing it. I would be more concerned if it did just get left out after."Â
"I'm not terribly concerned about. Working in a clock shop doesn't get too busy most days anyways."
Oh that’s easy then… I mean you can certainly find something around here to have a good time!
Do you want some company?Â
I would love some.
Where do you think would be a good place to start? This is the first time I've been to the carnival since it came to town.
"So, I see i'm not the only one..."
"I’m not exactly a fan of big open spaces with crowds… but the garbage issue is very important and I’ve never noticed it before, or more like it didn’t really hit me…"
"So what made you stop by?"
"And I'm sure no one has thought that somebody is going to have to clean all this up at some point, lest we want it blowing through town the next few years."
"Well, no one was coming into the shop for the carnival, and I ran out of work to do, so I closed up. I thought I might come see what it was all about."
There are tons of fun things to do Mr. Carter…
Wait… what is your definition of fun?
"I'm not sure what the best answer is. Simply having a good time? That's all that fun is, really."
Is there anything actually fun to do here?
"So, I see i'm not the only one..."
"Why are you not enjoying the umm carnival thing?"
"It's chaotic and there's garbage everywhere. People seem to have just forgotten to clean up after themselves. And it'll all still be here when the carnival leaves."
"Why aren't you?"
"I always wanted to be a doctor, and was in medical school for a time. But then my parents were in a terrible car accident and passed, so I had to take over the club."
"What other things did you love as a kid?"
"Oh my, I am so sorry. That must have been terrible. Do you at least like managing the club?"
"Oh things like puzzles, reading, music, especially operas and classics."
"Nice to meet you Carter."
"So… why do you know so much about the history of the arch?”
"Well, it's interesting. Although I guess you wouldn't agree."Â
"I read a book on it."
"Its away form people, mainly." Elizabeth chuckled and looked at him. "I’m just not much of a people person lately, I guess. I like nature though, always have loved nature."
"It is much more peaceful out here," he nodded. "I don't know if I'd say I'm not a people person, but we do all need our time alone."
"Well, I’m more of a more of a Steinbeck sort of guy, myself. Hadn’t thought to try it, to be honest. It’s good though. Really picks up about halfway through."
"Georgian and Victorian literature is contains some of my favorite novels. I could suggest a few if you want more in a similar style."
"Have you read any other of Jane Austen's works?"
”It’s a topic that’s been on my mind for a while.” Pete smiled at the man. “Sorry, that’s probably not something you’d want to listen to me ramble about.”
"Not at all. I think it's an interesting perspective. People do tend to look down on people who are different, and it's really a shame."
Tonight
"What do you mean you don’t really dance? Everybody dances, it’s like we were born to move freely and with joy. You’ve had to at least tried it." Melena said as she began to move along to the beat of the music.Â
"Well, not very well," he corrected, following her lead by swaying slightly to the music.
"I don’t have a place for other people’s books, Carter. You’re too… careful to lend yours to me, and Lumen… The only "reading material" he has is not stuff I would like to borrow."
"Pride and Prejudice. It’s… it’s a romance, but it’s actually not that bad."
"I suppose that is a decent reason."
"You haven't read it before? It's a classic!"
Brian sighed, pushing down the annoyance that began to rise up his throat. “I probably should have, but I thought that if I put it on the shelf, I’d forget it wasn’t mine.”
"Um… yes."
"You could have at least designated some other place."
"What book?" he asked, looking around.
It’s not one of mine, Carter! Belle lent it to me, I don’t think I put it on my shelf since it’s not mine….
I haven’t… I normally just alphabetize them by title…
"Shouldn't have you taken more care with where you put it if it's not yours?"
He paused, thinking, "Is this Belle as in Isabelle Newton?"
