The wind again blew a gust of air over her. She wore her hair in a high bun, but tendrils of curls escaped and whisked across her face. The woman raised her face toward the sun, a half smile tilting the corners of her full mouth upward. It was though she and the sun were old friends, communicating.

Nathan sighed. He was right there was no making her see sense. And really she probably thought the way she was training others was effective. And it probably was. “Look I’m sorry if I upset you. I just…. I’ve had a trainer like you. My whole life actually and it didn’t really work out that well for me.” Made him a coward at times actually.  “But I’m sure your encouraging and that your clients love you and your methods.”

“Upset? No one upsets me, kid. Don’t worry,” Sheila dismissed his comment with a small wave. “Your whole life?” She asked, annoyingly intrigued now. “If you’re talking about your daddy then it’s completely different. It’s one thing when a complete stranger is hard on you when a parent does it — then it's just cruel.” She shrugged. “Sounds like you need a new trainer.”

“Do I look like most people?” She asked, mirroring his raised brows to make a point. “Thanks,” Sheila sighed as she looked at the card he offered. “Don’t give me any of that crap, you’d be pretty pissed too if your beemer was hurt by some morons.”
