What the "Field of Pink and Gold" may each represent;

I wanted to figure out what the "Field of Pink and Gold" was actually referencing in this chapter if not the fat cat itself directly. The one and most abundant answer seems to be Mad Mew Mew (Pink) and Flowery (Gold) both being what the "Field of Pink and Yellow" was about.

And if the two of them were placed as a dichotomy that means that there should be a connection. And I think this here is it in the form of an old FRIEND theory that has gained a whole lot more sense in my eyes since then.

That being that FRIEND's Pink and Gold eyes represent two different concepts at the same time: VALUE and LOVE. Value in the sense of statistics and therefore the intricate knowledge of the world of Deltarune and Love in one's ability to form and understand the nature and power of bonds of love, family and friendship. And in this context Mew Mew and Flowey would be basically a Yin and Yang dichotomy of these two values.

Flowery would be rather obvious in how he constantly breaks and twists the mechanics of the game to his will as seen with all his maxed out Values/Stats and possesses deep knowledge of its mysteries.. While Mew Mew wholly lacks them on every level, despite her nature as a secret boss (which only emphasizes its absence).

And Mad Mew Mew in turn is a boss fight all about Love, her battle's mechanic is literally showering her with love until we get to go on a date with her and the main gist of her story is about her learning to accept the love of others but also love herself... Meanwhile Flowery's main struggle is that he fundamentally does not understand Love beyond a surface level.

He and the other flowers truly and genuinely love Asgore and want to repay him in his kindness... But do not understand his struggles, they do not understand why he cares about his work with his "conspiracy" and his family, if both make him experience "bad" emotions. Why doesn't Asgore just do "fun" things to feel "good" emotions? They are trying to make Asgore by giving him "happy" things and experiences without understanding what he truly wants... Because this is in the end, are just the dreams of a Flower.

And flowers only understand love through exclusively giving someone a gift.

SHE'S FINALLY DONE OMFG

Anyways this is Midnight (full name Midnight Motorcycle), she's the younger sister of Heartsong (another OC who is a loyal disciple of Illumina) and is the game master

(Forgot to say, my OCs I'm gonna make are basically in a "what if?" game mode for Phighting where it's basically just Mario Party)

She was spawned on December 18th and stands at 5'5 feet tall with a lanky build, and the animal she would be is a dove, like her sister.

She seems playful and confident at first glance but is more on the shy side, being more rambunctious when she's the game master and/or around people she likes. Despite this, she's surprisingly friends with Obsidian-a guard from the Ban Lands and one of Ban Hammer's most loyal workers-and often take time off from their jobs or from hosting the games to just chat.

Her other relationships include Slingshot, who Midnight sometimes likes to help at his cafe or offer him a stand in her game maps, first meeting when Sling was running late to meet a friend and Midnight decided to help him. She also knows Skateboard, who she tried to teach to ride her gear and vice versa (went as well as expected) and Boombox, who she showed band songs and nightcore at one point

Midnight has 2 gears, her real gear being the motorcycle with her 2nd, artificial gear, being the BTools, helping her build her game maps and manipulate the appearance of her horns due to her original ones being nearly broken clean off in an accident.

Other than that she's really just your stereotypical weird kid, drawing anime Creepypasta art late at night while listening to The Living Tombstone or 3 Days Grace to show her friends on Amino.

I decided to rewatch some more recent (like 2022) Aphmau videos because I used to when I had nothing else to do and noticed that the SMP version of Zane honestly kinda reminded me of Subspace because you know? Know it all, scary scientist in mainly engineering and covers their mouths and 1 eye?

So I ended up drawing Zane with something akin to Subspace's rotting condition but it turned into it's own thing, so now he's in a constant state of pure human and pure werewolf bc of some sort of accident

This isn't really an AU thing (though I'd love to see this become a thing in maybe an official Aphmau RP series despite not being much of a fan) so I really just had Garroth get his lights and teeth knocked out bc I feel his SMP ver (from the wiki) might've done something stupid that caused the accident+angst/drama possibilities due to him being guilty but having little chance to heal their relationship fully because of the trauma

Sorry for my yap session, but yeah! Little me would've cheered and become an Aphmau fan
