I'm 19 and I use any pronouns. I've suspected & researched Narcissistic Personality Disorder for years (I'm still looking for a therapist to be diagnosed though).

avpd culture is trying to quit running away when it comes to relationships, but then learning that beyond the scary point of avoidance there's often a fact that people just don't want to change. you can be mindful and communicate, but it's not a panacea people want you to think it is. so you look at other options you have, and avoidance pops up as a habit that never disappointed you like that

Posts like this make me feel so much better. It always seems like society treat responses to others pain as though empathy is the most important kind. I am around 85% compassionate and this post helped me not feel like I am a monster because of that for once.

I've forgotten *my own birthday* before. There are several years of my life just straight up missing. In the past I've forgotten silly little frivolous things like NAMES OF LOVED ONES or WHERE MY HOUSE IS. But obviously none of that was important. Fucking awful, ableist thing to say.

not sure if I have npd, though I've found myself thinking that I'm better than everyone because of the dumb things humans do, their society, their ways of life. 'I wouldn't do that therefore I am better than a human \ they are beneath me for this reason' [ coming from someone who isn't human ]

I'm clearly in a crash and the only thing anyone manages to say is "I'm sorry." I don't know. You should be scrambling at my feet to beg for me to stay. You should be telling me how great I am, not pitying me. Fuck off with that "pity." Show yourself to be worthy of not being discarded.

I'm glad that the majority of people are against bills like the ones trying to ban people from using the internet if they're under 16. It just sucks to even see this in the first place and see so called progressive people support it, as if teenagers and even children cannot use the internet safely at all for art or research (I've seen people even suggest blocking things to do with menstruation since that's "sexual", even though most people get them when they're not even a teenager yet). I saw a TADC fan (of course) talk about that rumor (that Goose literally said was untrue and her overreacting to something else) about Goose being harassed, blamed kids only and talk positively about these laws. These laws are mainly being done to censor queer content BTW. These people only GAF about marginalized (and abused) children when it benefits them. Yes, there are issues with how the internet and companies will prey on children, but you guys really believe conservatives are not promoting directly abusive laws just because you'd rather a queer kid have no access to education where you can't see than be mildly inconvenienced by what are oftentimes just annoying fandom reactions that make you hate kids in your fandom space

5/22/26: I deleted a post ranting about this days before, because it was at 2 AM and I was too pissed off, but I also greatly dislike when people respond to fandom issues as parents needing to monitor their kids more and generally hating children over fandom drama without caring about them.

The post that pissed me off was someone complaining about a 14 year old liking Hazbin Hotel in a fandom space and someone saying it's a shame parents can't monitor their kids 24/7 or take away their devices. So, I have complicated feelings on parents accessing all their kids technology, but I do understand it in the case of kids that aren't teenagers/are younger (and I also wish there were safer online spaces for minors that were safeguarded in general). I think it is really good as a parent to talk to your kids about the content they are seeing online. I just extremely dislike seeing this (especially literally taking the devices your kids own because you're not there???) when it's about teenagers, especially when this person referenced things like swearing and sexual jokes as the unsuitable content when HH already has worse stuff you could have picked from, considering how with the state of the world I would have had no support system or education about my own health or queerness if my toxic environment didn't allow me to even have online friends or research online. And I have friends who were in the exact same situation.

Toothpaste review: Hello Unicorn Sparkle

Oh boooooy, I found my next toothpaste winner.

The toothpaste also sparkles.

But as a quick reminder of my criteria:

Is a gel, not a paste (bc paste texture is yucky. Some people will describe the paste texture as gritty. I am not a fan.)

Has sufficient amounts of fluoride (about 0.25% sodium fluoride)

SLS free (because SLS is a foaming agent and can be very harsh and strip the surfaces inside your mouth. It leads to dry mouth and can increase how many canker sores you get, which is my issue.)

Not mint flavoured (This is bubble gum and tastes great)

Not stupid expensive (It's $6 CAD, which more than my old toothpaste and regular toothpaste, but it's not too terrible.)

So far, this may be my new all the time toothpaste. I have now tried 4 different toothpastes since my old one got discontinued. I'm ready for this journey to be done. May they keep making this one.

Also, the cap is really easy to open and I find the nozzle squirts out very clean, which I am a fan of. And of course, it's rainbow and sparkles, literally could not find something more aesthetically appealing for my brain if I tried. Whoo!

So remember to brush and floss, everyone! And if it takes finding a toothpaste that doesn't make brushing the worst chore ever, please do! The point isn't to suffer, it's to get the job done. So work with yourself. Figure out what you like, what you don't like, and go from there. Good luck, everyone! May you all find your toothpaste.

fucked up that 1) dental insurance isn’t automatically included because of how much pain and how many health issues can be caused by overall mouth stuff and 2) that this isn’t something that’s commonly troubleshooted

don’t like mint toothpaste? try bubblegum or cinnamon. can’t brush your teeth twice a day? it’s better to do it once a day rather than doing all or nothing thinking. can’t use string floss? try a floss pick (water) or flossers. can’t stand at the sink or in the bathroom that long? sit on the toilet lid or on the end of your bed. can’t hold your jaw open at the dentist? many dental hygienists have foam blocks they can use so you can relax your muscles. have dry mouth because of medications? gum or candy with xylitol increases saliva production. can’t manage the sensory input of a dentist’s office? good hygienists and dentists should let you wear headphones and sunglasses. it might be good to set signals for when they need you to close your mouth or listen to them

growing up, it hurt so badly for me to try to floss that after crying through the pain several times, i gave up completely. using those single use plastic flossers starting in college changed the game for me. also, my tooth pain with hot and cold used to be worse when i didn’t know my parents’ whitening treatments increased sensitivity. i am hoping that yellowed teeth become more normalized over time. especially in the USA

all of this is in no way to shame people who can’t go to the dentist or can’t floss or brush. if you truly can’t, you can’t. it’s just not taught in schools how this could affect your body over time as well as how many alternate options are out there for these steps
