What did Lucifer find!?
DETECT-IVE!
Torturing The Devil Part 2.
The Devil can bleed too.
itsxlucifer:
Once the song ends and she’s letting the soft melody sweep through the balcony in the beautiful night, as she asks. He turns to her, looking over his shoulder; she’s asking about her father. Someone he doesn’t know.
However, he’s glad she’s talking and asking the questions that would no doubt be screaming and spinning in her head.
Finishing his cigarette, licking his lips. He turns and takes the seat before her. Leaning forward he sighs deeply watching her as she plays the slow tune.
“Are you asking me if your Dad is in Hell?”
As the question is asked, Jedi gives a small nod. Hell, it’s one of the things, isn’t it? People who commit suicide, they’re bound to go to hell, that’s what the rules say. But… then again, they also claim that Lucifer is one of the bad guys that he’s the one causing people to commit sins and things like that. And she can see that’s not true.
“Yeah.” She says quietly, lowering her gaze. “I mean… murder, suicide… that’s- that’s pretty big, y’know? a pretty damning thing…”
she swallows, slowly stopping to play. “It wasn’t even his fault. It was mine. If I hadn’t let Margaret in… it wouldn’t have happened. He doesn’t deserve to be down there. If he is.”
“you shouldn’t be carrying that burden” He quickly tells her, “it’s no ones fault” He insists before giving her a soft expression. “Do you really want to know?” He asks, making sure she wants the answer because he won’t lie....
“I’d need a photo to recognize him”
itsxlucifer:
Lucifer relaxed his shoulders, watching over the City of Angels. The many lights flickering and illuminating the world below. The sky glittering with stars as clouds softly flow overhead. It’s always been calming to just stand out there and take a moment to breath, to reflect or scream.
As the sounds start to flicker through the air, Lucifer continues to look over and watch the world move with the sombre music before he recognizes the song, a song he can relate to. He’s surprised she knows it, he listens to the lyrics flowing beautifully from her tone.
He joins in.
Will the darkness fall upon me When the air is growing thin Will the light begin to pull me To its everlasting will I can hear the voices haunting There is nothing left to fear And I am still calling I am still calling to you
and when the chorus strikes, they both sing in unison.
Are you with me after all Why can’t I hear you Are you with me through it all Then why can’t I feel you Stay with me, don’t let me go Because there’s nothing left at all Stay with me, don’t let me go Until the Ashes of Eden fall
How often had she played this song on her guitar back home? So often that she knows the tune to the point where she doesn’t even have to look at the guitar to be able to play it. And that allows her to watch him. Watch him as he leans on the barricade of the balcony, realizing once again that, holy fuck, he’s beautiful. The way that the light hits his face? Not to mention that ass? Fuck.
She can see why he was called the Lightbringer, why he was once considered the most beautiful Angel of them all. Before he was cast out of Heaven. And as he’s singing? Well, she comes to a startling realization. One that she never thought possible.
She’s falling in love with the Devil.
The thought is startling enough that she almost misses the cue to start singing the chorus with him, their voices joining one another almost perfectly. As if it was meant to be.
Was this God’s plan? Was this the reason she’d been given this curse?
After the chorus, she just keeps playing the same tune, letting it repeat as she tries to gather her thoughts. There’s a lot of burning questions going through her mind right now, trying to push the thought that she’s falling in love away to the back of her mind, trying to ignore the faint blush rising to her cheeks.
“Lucifer?” She asks. “How does someone get sent to Hell?” It’s one of the burning questions she’s been struggling with. Where did her parents end up? “My dad… he- is it true suicide is reason enough?”

“Are you asking me if your Dad is in Hell?”

Lucifer hears her from his bar, but he doesn’t respond. He instead disappears into his bedroom, then comes out with an acoustic guitar. Shoving his unlit cigarette between his lips, he soon moves out onto the balcony beside Jedi, and remains out of her line of sight, keeping quiet he then places the guitar into her field of view.
“All yours, Darling” He softly encourages her and places it beside her. Lucifer then moves over to the barricade and leans against it, relaxing his shoulders and lighting his cigarette, trying to ignore the hole in his pants, smeared with his own blood, still warm……
Whether Lucifer heard her or not? Jedi doesn’t really mind it. It is more a thought spoken out loud than anything that he has to respond to. She just leans back against the chair, staring up at the sky, trying to think things over. Trying to figure things out. How to progress from here. How to deal with all of this. How to research this curse…
She looks up when the guitar is placed down beside her, staring at it for a moment. “Thank you.” she smiles. Picking it up, she watches Lucifer as he leans against the railings of the balcony. Setting the guitar in her lap, she strums the strings, testing the tuning of it. Adjusting the few strings to her liking.
She starts plucking at the strings, a seeming meaningless tune to get used to the guitar, until finally she starts singing softly.
Will the faithful be rewarded When we come to the end Will I miss the final warning From the lie that I have lived Is there anybody calling I can see the soul within And I am not worthy I am not worthy of this
Are you with me after all Why can’t I hear you Are you with me through it all Then why can’t I feel you Stay with me, don’t let me go Because there’s nothing left at all Stay with me, don’t let me go Until the Ashes of Eden fall
