Hi Everyone, I’m the founder of Adopt-A-Stuffie! We are so excited to unveil this long awaited project. So we are trying to get everything done quickly but correctly. Let me start by saying I myself have a Tumblr and haven’t decided wether I will reveal it yet (though I most likely will). I’m here to appeal to littles! I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me explain what Adopt-A-Stuffie is. Adopt-A-Stuffie is a website with stuffies on it that you can adopt!(Duh.) But seriously! We go around everywhere we can think of and buy second-hand stuffies. We then take them home, fix them up, show them love and then get them adopted into a good home! The idea is you tell us which of our many stuffies you are interested in adopting and we decide, through a questionnaire based on personality questions if you would be a good match for that stuffie. If so, we make you your own personalized adoption certificate and send your new friend to you! Around holiday season we will take a big group of stuffies, go to our local children’s hospitals and children’s homes and let the kids pick their own new friend! Now to get more traffic in our website we are keeping terms more appealing to the general public. But originally we made this whole thing to cater to littles! Mommies, daddies, masters, caregivers, we are looking at you! 😉 We will have special terms for you to mention in your application/questionnaire to let us know that you are a little or caregiver in this amazing little community. Of course there is always a space to add extra comments and you could just tell us there. Luckily terms like “Mommies, Daddies, Little One” are all pretty general. But we are so excited to get this started! Any Facebook active members? We do have a Facebook page right now as well. (Adopt-A-Stuffie) As of right now, we do not have the adoptable stuffies up on the site yet because they don’t all participate very well with getting their photos taken but they will be up very very soon. In the meantime, please visit us at our website and keep lookout for your new friend. Tumblr’s violating your privacy by default again

Hey guys, a quick note. Tumblr just added a ‘feature’ that shows if you’re online or not. The only place I see it is in the messenger, though it might be elsewhere. It’s showing a friend as online even though they just have a tumblr tab open that they haven’t looked at in hours. It also shows how long ago they were active. I don’t know how it interacts with the app.

I have a few problems with this:

I personally don’t like the feeling of being stalked

People could actually stalk you

Person A could get mad at Person B because it said Person B was online but they weren’t (and thus didn’t respond) - or just wasn’t up to talking

Person X could message Person Y and get anxious when person Y doesn’t respond, since it says they’re online

I found the place to turn it off in account settings. There’s a section called “Availability” where you can toggle off the functionality.
