I took advantage of the spare time that came with the quarantine and finished this book idea that I had in the back burner for years.

I always wanted a book of fairy tales with the stories told with the opposite gender as the lead, because I believe not only boys have adventures, and not only girls need to be rescued.

And since I became a dad recently I had extra motivation to do this,  because I want my kid to read those kinds of stories too, and see that no matter what gender you have, you can be the protagonist of whichever story you want.

The Rhythm of Life and Death

So this is an obviously inspired by The Beatles design but more importantly an Heinz Edelmann inspired design.

I wanted to make this for a long time and tackle certain key design elements of Edelmann’s well known style without verging to far from mine so it’s of weird seeing the mix in the final result.

My first impulse was to call it “Live and let die” like the Wings song but in the end that didn’t make much sense at all, oh well.
