Why do I think about midnight when I see this photo? (Ah, yes, because T did his “thing” again. He created and outworldly atmosphere). A brilliant combination of two or more photos. This shot sings. It sings a song, that you cannot hear but feel. And it opens the doors to T’s world of darkness. (A world that really would love to live in)

Female Energy is a series I'm doing for a University portfolio.  

The words female, feminism, feminine have never fully been understood by society. Feminine energy belongs to neither gender but is a trait from both. Society has downplayed how strong feminine attributes really are. Female/ feminine energy are in play with masculine energy in every single person. It is a strength, not a weakness to be gentle. How many people can say it is easy to let go of something not meant for them? And do so with grace? To separate yourself from an emotionally abusive lover and learn to love yourself instead is a brave and strong decision made. Males especially show their gentle sides with their daughters and develop patience through their mothers. Through images, I envisioned sharing that feeling and showing the beauty and strength of female energy.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been too...so far but the white sand and the crystal clear blue water was so gorgeous. The water was warm and it got deep a couple of steps in which I really liked. The beach is private and really well hidden. The way to get here was far out of the city of Cartagena and through the forests. The residents on the beach gave us fresh coconuts and gave us fresh fish dinners. When I say fresh I mean they got onto a boat and came back with our dinner. I love traveling for these memories and experiences because those are the only things that you'll take with you through your life.

These are some shots I got as I was in Cartagena Colombia. The one of me in the window was taken at my uncle's home. I love visiting because it really grounds me and opens my eyes to what's really important in life. Everyone has a lot less then the people back home in Canada but they're so much happier then us. They value family and human interaction a lot more. I know a lot of cultures are still like this and it’s amazing to be a part of such a lively culture. The colours in Colombia are so bright and vivid not one house on a street is the same colour as their neighbors. One will be blue while the other is green then across the street it's pink! Everything is so full of life.

Some love for my country. While I was visiting Dorada I saw these men every morning when I left with my grandparents to go out. These two pictures are really authentic and that's why I like them so much
