i'll rant a bit about this because i love typing. ermm i honest to god had to look into what proshipping and darkshipping means because i dont engage in social media often, i've been a lurker the whole time. i initially had a vague understanding that these are generally problematic and more often than not viewed as negative, but i had to look into it. and i don't think i would agree with these types of ships.
i heavily condemn the romanticization of things such as pedophilia, abuse, manipulation, incest, so and so, especially since these things are so very normalized where i live. that to this day someone killing their spouse is "a crime of passion", and a teacher marrying a student they've known since MIDDLE SCHOOL is "meant to be". i am so disgusted by such things and i wouldn't even wish to see it as something cutesy even in a fictional setting.
i do like to see toxic dynamics, but i prefer them between Two Consenting Adults of Equal Toxicity, and completely in fiction and pretty aware that this is Not Good.
