"I see. Well you're doing a pretty good job," he said with a definite note of teasing.
"For her and everyone else in the room. I take my job very seriously," Maddi assured, placing her hand over her chest in mock seriousness before breaking into a bit of laughter.
He made an effort of nodding seriously until she laughed, at which point a bright smile broke over his features. "Seriously though, she didn't actually drag you along for that did she?"
“I think you’d be surprised by the outcome if you actually tried.”
"Is that an invitation?"
Antonia bit her lip to hold back a nervous smile. “Would it be too bold to say yes?”
Iver smiled a little, unable to stop his gaze briefly flicking to where she bit her lip. "Bold, yes. Too bold? No,"
"I see. Well you're doing a pretty good job," he said with a definite note of teasing.
“I think you’d be surprised by the outcome if you actually tried.”
"Is that an invitation?"
"I'm pretty sure the gardens are this way. It's been some time since I've actually come along to one of these parties."
"If you're leading me somewhere secluded to off me you should know I have some very powerful friends that wouldn't fail to avenge me,"
"You really don't have to walk me home if you don't want to. It's not even night yet," she reasoned, though dusk was truly settling in.
"Then it's a good job I want to, isn't it?"

"I always prefer eating with company too, so how could I say no," he gestured to the booth seat across from him, for the person to take it.
It had become somewhat of a habit for Adeline to stay the night with Fenrin, or vice versa. So when she'd awoken to a note saying he'd left to grab them some pastries for the morning, it felt so comfortingly normal. This was what she could get used to, and by all means what she wanted to get used to. She'd gone for a brief swim before eventually moving back below deck and setting about cooking something to accompany the pastries. It wouldn't be long until Fenrin returned, she suspected. So when she heard Lotta's bark and the muffeled pitter-patter of her paws running along the dock, she'd figured that was just the case. At least until she caught the sound of an unfamiliar voice to greet the wolf dog. That alerted Adeline, to be sure. It wasn't alarm though, given that Lotta seemed to know whoever this was--not to mention that they seemed to brazenly access Fenrin's private dock. But that meant that they would be coming aboard. And here Adeline stood, hair dampened from her swim, wearing one of Fenrin's button up shirts over the top of her unmentionables as the aforementioned person descended the ladder. It took a lot for her not to immediately grab the nearest knife, some of her pirate instincts winning over even despite the centuries. But she reminded herself that this person, while a stranger to her, didn't seem to be a stranger to Fenrin. So instead she met his surprised gaze as he'd turned into the small kitchen space. "And who might you be?" She questioned.

Iver always liked to travel slow if he could. Meaning he generally avoided planes as often as possible. This journey had been no different. And so he'd arrived into the city on a boat he'd temporarily joined the crew of, helping out on their journey down from the the very north of the lake. It was still pretty early when he got in and seeing as he was already on the water front he'd set off in the direction of his brother's sailing school. He was sure Jonna would have something to say about him visiting Fenrin first but he was closer. Letting himself into the building that served as both gate and reception, he put the key Fenrin had given him years ago back in his pocket before heading out onto the dock. The form of the boat his brother called home was instantly recognisable to him. Still looking as good as it had the last time he was here. He couldn't help but smile at that. A smile that only grew when he heard the familiar bark of Lotta. When she reached him he stopped to give her a good fuss in greeting. "Hey stranger," he said affectionately. "Let's go surprise your dad, yeah? Come on," getting up he carried on towards the boat, Lotta padding along beside him. Dumping his back on deck he descended the short ladder into the living space. He stopped short when his feet his the floor though. Finding not his brother but a rather beautiful woman in what he guessed was his brothers shirt. Iver raised an eyebrow. "Funny, I was just about to ask you that," he greeted. Lotta had now joined them below deck and was sitting on his foot looking up at him. No doubt wanting more fuss. He obliged while still keeping his focus on the woman. "Although I suppose it's not too much of a leap to guess what you are to Fen," he said, looking over the shirt again with a little amusement.
