A pinned Get To Know Me post?
Since I guess you can pin posts now, hi! I'm Ivia Relle, iviarelle in most places but someone stole the username after I deleted in the debacle at the end of 2018 and parked on it, so iviarelle everywhere else that I exist and iviarelleblr here. (I also have a chapter by chapter reading blog, @iviarellereads which covers things spoiler-free unless otherwise advertised.)
I'm a Canadian hurtling toward middle age, and queer as heck in most of the dimensions the spectrums cover. I'm okay with any pronoun being used to describe me, especially if you use different ones every time you need to pick. Double points for switching mid sentence.
My favourite colour is yellow and that basically describes my entire personality: sometimes I'm a cheerful person, and sometimes I'm a ball of hydrogen fusion ready to burn it all down. I have very long hair and the bottom half of it is greens of various shades, I like feeling like a dryad in a mixed deciduous and coniferous forest. I have one extremely fluffy black and white cat, and I knit but... not using the cat hair.
I was a daily Tumblr user from about 2011 until 2018, so I was there for much of the writing of the Old Magics, and the establishment of the outlines for the social norms still used today!
I have many varied fandom interests! An extremely non-comprehensive list:
Favourite authors include Roshani Chokshi, N. K. Jemisin, Seanan McGuire, Tamsyn Muir, Tamora Pierce, Tracy Deonn, Alexis Henderson, Kit Rocha, Jessie Mihalik, and Katee Robert
Favourite films include Legally Blonde, The Mummy (1999), Jupiter Ascending, the Lord of the Rings extended trilogy, The Matrix quartet, Into the Spider-Verse, and Everything Everywhere All at Once
Favourite games include Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Age, The Longest Journey, and Stardew Valley
Basically I'm here for stories, particularly stories that involve Not CisHet Men in primary positions of importance. (LotR is one of the main exceptions and that's more "I watched the movies a hundred times and have a Rohan tattoo" and less "I've read the whole Legendarium" if you feel me. The Wheel of Time isn't an exception because the women make up very close to half the overall word count.)
If you know me, you probably don't have many more questions. If you don't know me, you have a choice: stay and be respectful, or go in peace. Choose wisely, and be sure.
(I will try never to be obnoxious about it but if you like what I do here, I have a ko-fi.)
