happy pride month! To celebrate this year, I decided to design one or two Eridians for every flag I can find. The flags are picked by a wheel of luck, and the ones for today are Abrosexual and Queer!

Definitons:

Abrosexual: a fluidity in sexuality; a person whose sexuality changes frequently or over time

Queer: umbrella term for sexualities and gender identities that don't conform to a heteronormative society; also often used by people who don't want to label themselves

Actually it means so much to me to see her age, gain weight, leave behind her superstardom and super powers (maybe, she doesn’t use them on panel anyways)

All of these changes that you might think Zatanna would fear, that society WANTS women to fear, and where does it leave her?

That’s right; still a beautiful, compassionate, and intelligent woman, well respected in her now SECOND career and beloved by her patients and coworkers.

I might be reading way too much into this scene but it means a lot for me. I love Zatanna in her usual form- she’s the full package (god level powers, epitome of glamor, lil bit of bitch and she’s earned it) but sometimes it feels the more she has, the more she has to lose.

So seeing her without all that, and not in the darkseid way, just in the real way where life changes and people change and no one stays young forever, and for her to not only accept change in her life but blossom in it. I don’t know, it gives me hope.
