trouble is a friend | ivy and wendy
"Don’t!" Wendy said quickly, raising her voice as the other girl stood up. Looking around, she took a deep breath and adjusted to calmer tone. "I mean, please, don’t leave." She was loathe to say please to a vampire, but her deep curiosity was overtaking her disgust for the moment. It was a twisted sort of thing to feel, an echo of kinship to the thing she most hated, but it was there. She had to know why. And it wasn’t like she’d attack the brunette in public, or by herself, no matter how…harmless Ivy seemed. Wendy had learned her lesson.
"I just need to know why I feel like I know you." Wendy tried to explain, grimacing softly. The words didn’t sound right, but she wasn’t about to admit that she felt connected to her. "I get these vibes." She sighed heavily. Viola would probably kill her if she knew she were talking this casually about her abilities to a vampire. "I can feel out vampires. But with you, it’s like you’re not just a vampire…"
Ivy paused, deciding to at least hear the girl out before she went running off. It seemed important to her, whatever it was. Her words only made Ivy more and more uneasy, but she sat down anyway, her body tensed to run if this went badly. Ivy sighed, the gears in her head turning as she tried to see if she recognised the girl. She might have seen her around town before? It was a small place, but Ivy was pretty good with faces, and this girl didn't ring any bells. Suddenly it clicked, and her mouth popped open in surprise. "You're one of The Five," she said, her voice low and intense. "Aren't you?" It made sense, why Ivy and this girl would have some sort of warped connection. Though she had never met any others from her weird time as a supernatural hunter, she knew that they all had a connection. Now that Ivy was a vampire it wouldn't be as strong, but it explained why there was something there.
