a laugh filled the air as eyes cautiously darted around â she usually made up for nerves by a witty, cold comment yet her usual sharp tongue seemed to have softened at this hour of the night. â WELL. iâm lost and completely broke, but iâm not dead, so itâs not the worst off iâve ever been.â her jovial smile contrasted with her somber words, yet her tone was surprisingly up beat. she took a large step away from the shrub, heeding the ladies words and watching her step. she knew how protective klara got over her plant friends; she wasnât going to argue with someone who also clearly knew their stuff. â well â thatâs REALLY impressive â all of the plants and trees are truly incredible, and of no discredit â but i was hoping youâd expand on where ? â the second part added in a timid voice ; hushed as if worried it might offend the stranger.
