One of the reasons they are so comfortable and loud about commenting things like this everywhere literally on every social media platforms is because they think they are somehow influencing the publisher and the Author into giving in to their preferred ship. That's why there are comments like this flooding the comment section of especially Elain and elriel posts. They think it's making the publishers see that the majority (While in reality the antis are a loud minority) doesn't want Elain/elriel so if they want to profit then they need to change the story.

But that's not how literature works. That's not how any form of actual art works. And Sjm knows this. This is why she made it clear multiple times that she'll write the story she wants to write.

If they really think they're going to change what Sjm writes like this they're going to be very disappointed.

She's never written fanservice before and she's not about to now. If she did let the fandom's opions affect what she writes she never would have released ToD when she did. After EoS Chaol was not a popular character and most people just wanted a resolution to the cliffhanger we'd been left on, but Sjm didn't care and wrote ToD anyway because it was what was best for the story she was telling.

These people aren't going to be able to change her mind. All they'll succeed in is embarrassing themselves.

Do these people forget TOG? (Spoiler) do they forget how Aelin NEVER got over Chaol's "betrayal"? She didn't end up with him, they didn't overcome the betrayal together as a couple, they both found love with other people.

So NO, Elain and Lucien's relationship is not about "overcoming" anything, It's not "she'll reject the bond and realize she loves Lucien" ... it's about showing that they're incompatible, that Elain isn't going to force herself to be with him and that a woman CAN choose freely and without consequences (because no, she isn't going to keep feeling something after rejecting the bond).

So STOP creating a narrative that's completely different from what Sarah has been developing with Elain!

Unfortunately for you, you're not going to get the story you want and you're going to have to bleed from your eyes, because it HAS ALWAYS BEEN and ALWAYS WILL BE about Elain telling Lucien to go to hell, healing from the trauma Lucien caused her with the help of her friends (NUALA AND CERRIDWEN, them, not Vassa and Jurian), accepting her powers, developing that different kind of strength and freely choosing Az, all while the main plot moves forward. Yes, the actual plot, not the one people have invented to make their fanfic/BC ships fit and twist the story to the point where it's just pathetic...

Elain's book (ACOTAR 6, 7, and 8) is going to be incredible!
