Traveling through the Sinnoh region seemed to be quite a good idea, as it turned out. From the sights and smells of Floaroma Town, to the potential in training the routes held within it! It was great seeing Pokemon Ash hadn’t seen in quite some time roaming free through the grass and skies, and as per usual, he had the high chance of both seeing old friends, and making new ones!
And the odds were in his favor for someone newer today, as it turns out.
It was just around lunch time, for Ash and his pokemon companions, and the trainer had just sat down against the grass with a groan. His Pikachu in particular grew closer towards him as his Swellow who happened to be out of his Poke Ball continued to fly above his head.
He pulled his backpack off of his back and dug deep within it until he pulled out a few cans of Pokemon food and bowls, perfect for feeding a party of six. He had some cookable stuff for himself, of course -- and step by step recipes from Brock so he wouldn’t make too much of a mess of things. Cilan helped, too!
“Almost...! Got it...!” The lid came undone with a satisfying thunk, and Ash beamed at his success. “There we go!”
His two Pokemon out of six that were already around him rejoiced in the success -- or that food was about to be served, either or -- but it would have to wait just a bit longer.
Just a ways ahead, it sounded like... there was something going on. And it caught Ash and Pikachu’s attention.
“Huh...?” Ash hummed, looking behind his back in the direction of the commotion, and Pikachu’s ears simply twitched as he glanced the same way. Swellow cooed as a result, and curiosity took hold of the trainer.
“Swellow, return.”
Once the Swallow Pokemon was within it’s Poke Ball, Pikachu took to his usual spot on Ash’s shoulder as the trainer stood back up, and the two headed towards whatever had caused such a fuss. It wasn’t too far away, just a good walk or so, when they had reached it.
And the sight wasn’t something they could just ignore.
Ash and Pikachu’s mouthes hung open at the sight they had walked into. A trainer -- or something like it, he had some pokemon around him, was performing... a magic show? It didn’t matter what he was doing, it was performed with such skill and talent, that Pikachu and Ash stayed there in awe...
“Wow...”
“Pikaaa...”
The two were of a mutual agreement to stay there in silence, watching as the only two audience members the stranger had. Only when the performance reached a part where there was a lull, or where the audience be expected to applaud, did Ash ever made his presence known. With his own hands clapping for the stranger, he made sure to stay still as Pikachu climbed on top of his hat.
“Wow!! That was awesome!”
“Piiika, pikachu!!” The electric mouse squeaked out, his own form of appreciation, flailing his arms with a big ol’ smile as he did so.
“You’re really good at stage magic, mister!”
