Seeing a lot of lily hate and to be honest I just feel like that hate is being misdirected. Ronnie’s anger towards lily is understandable and valid. Lily’s outburst as well. Like??? They’re literally just kids man. Ronnie is afraid because the racist residents and cops could do anything to her dad and she was frustrated with the whole situation and the only thing she could do at the moment is to be mad at lily. Ronnie doesn’t know what the audience knows and she just wants her dad to be safe. As for lily, the cop tricked her man? Why are people blaming her when it should be the adults man like god knows what happened in juniper hill for her to be extremely scared of going back but I do remember that mental health asylums were awful back then to the patients.
