Will we have a secret santa this year? Last year was wonderful!
Hi, Giovanni here, uh
I’m honestly not too sure? I haven’t been in touch with the other person that helped organize it, and I don’t know as though I’d be able to run it all by myself
However, this isn’t to say it’s flat out cancelled, it’s still early, so maybe before the end of November we can get something put together? Sorry if this isn’t a very good answer;
my iwata secret santa gift for cloudy-rainy-starry!! i was not quite sure what to draw you so i drew judgement boy and tried to make it p creepy esque! :3c i hope you like it! happ y holidays!
you mentioned fanfiction in what you’d like to receive as a gift so i decided to write you a collection of poems! this is an old idea i had lying around for a while but i finally got the motivation to polish and finish it. there’s a short poem for each character in mhs. i hope you enjoy this and your holidays!
A was a creature of lightning
all suited up in a body of armor
wired up like a machine that could never sleep
A ingested electricity like it was oxygen
a monster of terrifying possibilities
but blessed with patience as vast as a storm
A brought the excellent spark of companionship
B was a boat with no course
a patchwork doll abandoned indoors
every day B would look through the windows of the world
wondering when it’d be their turn to fall into its embrace
but too fearful to realize it was within their grip
B painted the reaches of space with tear-shaped specks
and stripes of deep blue to mirror the endless ocean
C could have stood for charming
because C was a delightful treat
rays of sunlight sewn with laughter
tied like a bow around positive intentions
and all the desire that some creatures have
to put a smile on everyone’s face
C was reckless yet endearing
and everyone loved them eventually
D was a storm of untapped potential
believing they had surpassed the elements of nature
when they faced death upon a field lit by fire
refusing to remain in the ruins of yesterday
D overthrew the forest devoured by ashes
and rose from the earth that had tried to bury them
E was a house made of bricks
and smoke, so much smoke
E was the loneliness poets try to pour into their pens
and the strang feeling born from staring at the moon for too long
E was always crying charcoal tears
feeding the angry flames in their head
as any good dreamer does
F was the quietest of all
but the knots in their mouth were like an envelope slip
they had towers of paper filled with words
tales of fantasy inspired by reality
encrypted codes that only few could decipher
F might have been as silent as death
but F fed life into the blank pages
G could be read like a book
with no elaborate designs to hide the words on their face
but G coined the great unknown
pinned it down and bottled it up
the very fabric of space became a tangible substance
doomed to disaster if they weren’t careful
H was split in half for good measures
thinking twice as hard gave them headaches
but H was an artist and reasoned wildly
filling every space with unimaginable wonder
H was their own muse
stuck in the shoes of a junior hero
who always called others onto the stage with them
I was too thick to be cut
but I was too fluid to be defined
whether they hid between the lines in a letter
or the messy fingers of a sleepless writer
I was the inspiration others longed to possess
but no one could tell quite what I would think
when they hid in crumpled parchment all of their secrets
J was a mother by all means
in the absence of children they adopted siblings
with wise words scribbled upon their palms
and just the right amount of love to help recover the balance
J was the constellation the mournful looked up to
J was the flower that bloomed to remind those that are lost
that life is full of new budding beginnings
K was a symbol of divination
the abstract combination of fear and fun
a party unknown to all whom hole up in their homes
and won’t meet the streets because shadows dance with their feet
but in the forest K was an ode to excitement
heir to a world of delightful terror
ready to jump at all those faint-hearted fools
L was a midnight refrain
the lulling sound of a family snuggly in bed
L was a kindness that none could turn away
not even the most rotten of spirits
because L had been bestowed with loveliness
and the talent to heal without speaking
M was an ambitious inventor
albeit often exhausted
there were too many bolts to keep track of
and too many creations to cater after
M lost themselves in their own magnetic bubble
yet with cunning hands they crafted innumerable masterpieces
N was a gift to the social and an enigma to the nervous
they were a shining star giving off a golden light
standing on a podium where their voice would boom
N delivered the news of foreign feats
and elicited laughter from an eager crowd
what would anyone have done without N’s entertainment?
O was called a symphony of satellites
a chunk of sun that had drifted through the cosmos
collecting scattered echoes of beauty and harmony
O arrived with rings around their head
they sang to the world and the world listened
because O knew what the heart most longed to hear
P could best be described as the ocean’s retreat
hugging the shore before sinking back into the deep
a river always crashing into something
apologizing for simply being
but P unleashed the waves that turned the sea
lifting the tide until it became a pool
where everyone else could play in too
Q was not as often addressed as the others
but Q kept track of every interaction
of how time chipped away at the social manners
and bent the laws that space once proudly established
Q was devoted and full of admiration
a fascinating affection for a brotherly figure
there was no need to remind Q of their importance
it was as implicit as their cheering
R had trouble coping with sadness
but R would cry for hours to drain all the anguish
the fire that started was met with brilliant colors
a rainbow of water to decorate a crestfallen subject
pockets of flowers to fill the holes in their ego
celebrating their remarkable accomplishment
S was a full-time jungle gym hero
and a part-time bully
never intentionally however
S was fun-loving and free
with insensitivity that doubled as courage
when words had to be spoken that could slice through ice
S could be counted on to march forward with a fearless stride
T could be compared with an abstract creation
decorated with a vast spectrum of colorful tones
T was illustrated with unorthodox mixtures
of paint and oil and teasing voices
T loved artistic misinterpretations
almost as much as they adored chaotic entertainment
U was the unofficial marriage of disaster and delight
an union that brought almost as much trouble as it did wonder
because although full of crafty tricks
compulsive lies gave their foolish acts away
sometimes they claimed to be descended from an alien race
and sometimes they merely stated that they were correct
when they knew well that they had fabricated the entire tale
V was the a child lost in the wilderness
a princen that had broken out of their castle
V was a hero on a fantastic journey
unsure of the exact purpose of their wandering
but fiercely devoted to their road
words became meanings and then feelings
and V was the best at feeling words
W was the colors people see when they close their eyes
the streaks of light piercing the dark
W was a ghost stuck in telephone wires
traveling through electronic devices
W was a cold white flame
shaped like a box and shocking to the touch
X was a shadow, an abyss, a secret code
no one could make sense of their strange dialect
X was the sound of branches scratching a window
making those on the other side wonder if there was a monster outside
or if it was simply the embodiment of all the questions regarding the unknown
that humanity would never have the answers to
Y was a natural born leader
picking the perfect company to suit their schemes
Y was a troublemaker and a thief
but they had a strange type of charisma that only a few could see
Y knew that when someone stuck around
they had to be valued as a life-long friend
Z was a collector of second-place trophies
the objects that are good but just not good enough to be kept
they say one doesn’t truly die until they’re forgotten
and Z believed the same of objects
because although disposed and discarded
they remained symbols of something that had once bloomed with importance
This was made a little last minute, though luckily Inko and Kinko are pretty easy to draw (although I forgot the “Danger!” writing on Kinko’s sign; I don’t know how to draw print on signs or posters from different angles). I tried to think of something cute with them both, like I do with all of my favorite minor characters. So! Kinko won’t shut up about the dream he had and the heart he still has locked inside of him until the guest shows up, and it bothers Inko when he’s trying to sleep. And….I love transparency.
Nothing fancy, nothing I was able to put a whole lot of work and time into, but I hope you like it anyway.
This is my present for starfydusty!!!! I hope you like it (I know is horrible) I tried to make a cicada block with guest girl and cactus gunman. Also in the corner says “but I love you señorita O^Q”
I hope I’m not too late, but here’s my Secret Santa entry for doctorghoti at Iwatasecretsanta project. She said, she prefers Gregory most, so I came up with a crossover of Gregory Horror Show and The Grinch. XD Fits perfect to Gregory. =D Anyway Merry Christmas everyone and have a nice long Christmas weekend. =)
Seeing as December 25th is coming up in less than a week, I feel that now is a good time to say how to post your gift upon completing it!
It's pretty simple, just post it on December 25th(or queue it, if for whatever reason you cannot post it that day), and tag it as #IwataSecretSanta
We will reblog all of the gifts from the tag here, so if the person set to receive the gift cannot find it beforehand, and to showcase everyone's wonderful art!
I hope this clears up any confusion people may have had about that process, and please send a message if you have any more questions!
Okay! So the applications have been collected, and we have sent out messages to everyone on who they are assigned to give a gift to! If you sent in an application and did not obtain an ask, please let us know!
Remember, the one big thing about secret Santa is to keep your gift a secret!
Later on in the month we will make a post regarding how to post your gift, so keep an eye out!
Name/Nickname: Sarah (though calling me doctorghoti is fine too)
Tumblr URL: doctorghoti.tumblr.com
Are you a fan of GHS, MHS, or Pecola?: GHS
What do you enjoy the most about these?: It’s hard to list a particular thing I like about this series. I love that it goes for psychological horror more than gore horror. I also love the unique characters in it.
Wish List: My favorite character is Gregory, but I’m really fine with just about any character(s). If you don’t want to draw old rats, my other favorites include Judgement Boy, Death, Neko Zombie, and the Cactus siblings.
Anything you wouldn’t want to see in your gift?: Preferably no NSFW stuff, but I won’t say no to it if that’s what you like to do.
