Welcome to my blog Iweriu, a blog for my (Kimanda's) OCs, for the sake of simplicity and organisation. (otherwise I just seem to get confused) I'll try to post my artwork here more often and post sketches that did not make past the colouring stage. I will also post here drawings of my OCs that I got through requests, art trades and gifts because I think they're all beautiful and deserve to be shown. And this will also be the place where I upload and develop my headcanons on my OCs. Will also post musings, basically headcanons in the works. Also I'll take my time for developing better profiles for my characters. Finally... I may write down short stories with my characters but the chance of that aren't certain yet. I am already very busy but I will try to maintain this blog as well. If you stumbled on this blog and read through all this, thank you! I hope you enjoy reading and seeing the things I do here. So I was asked by anon a while ago what Pokemon teams I thought my OCs would have and for some reason my brain went "my OCs + England" so here we go, have my idea of what England's Pokemon team looks like first. (will probably post the others in response to the ask, no worries)

As I always tend to do, I went on an overthinking spree and tried thinking how he would fit into the universe of Pokemon. To keep it short, Arthur is a low-level gym leader in the Galar region, he doesn't even give out a gym badge if you beat him. But he still does get a lot of trainers visiting him because he has a particular talent with resolving conflicts between Pokemon and trainers and finding ways for trainers to better communicate with their Pokemon. It does mostly come down to actually bothering with communication, but a number of trainers do have this issue and they end up claiming their Pokemon have "behavioural issues" when really it's just poor communication between Pokemon and trainer.

Arthur is good at this though, thanks to Gyarados. Arthur received his first Pokemon, a Magikarp, as a kid. Arthur decided it had been a joke gift to ridicule him, so he did little to hide his disdain from Magikarp. He just did the minimal training to level Magikarp up. Upon evolving, Gyarados decided to show how much Arthur's treatment had bothered him, and anytime he was taken out of his Pokeball, he would whack Arthur with his tail and send him flying. And if Arthur was paying attention to his tail, Gyarados would just pick him up with his mouth, and throw him as far as possible. Things were just not working out and Arthur was strongly considering just giving Gyarados away. Then a Nurse Joy suggested that he should try to listen to Gyarados and it took a good while, but eventually Arthur started communicating with Gyarados and understanding the origin of his anger. He made amends with Gyarados and their teamwork improved very quickly. Afterwards, Arthur just ended up adopting "problem Pokemon" from other trainers who were at the end of their patience and were calling these Pokemon "untrainable". For most of them, it turned out they were being abused and trained too harshly. Arthur has maintained his team and they often participate in demonstrations to bring visibility to the uglier side of training if it's being done irresponsibly or by trainers who just see Pokemon as fighting machines or toys.

Day Seven - Forgotten I hope it’s not too dark to see, but this is Wales in a coal mine minutes after an explosion. Even though he has been rattled by the force of the explosion, he’s realizing that a fire has started and he has to decide if he can save the other miners while the mine starts to fill up with toxic fumes.

Have you ever considered what your OCs' 2P! counterparts would be like? I can understand if you haven't because not everyone seems comfortable with the concept of 2Ptalia haha

Hmm, well tbh I never really got into the 2p hype. ^^; I saw all the fanart, the fan-made 2p versions of canon characters, but 2ptalia never tickled me enough to try and create my own 2p versions of my OCs.

But hey, why not give it a try?

Here’s Ireland along with 2p!Ireland. 2p!Ireland is a depressive drunkard who believes himself to be the unluckiest bastard in the world. He mostly spends his time drinking at the pub or drinking at home. Connor is a good listener, though. If you need to vent, he’ll listen and drink to your woes, as “misery loves company”.

2p!Northern Ireland is a troublemaker, always up to no good setting up pranks. He’ll do all kinds of jokes, doesn’t matter if they range from harmless or harmful to himself or others. He just likes being reckless and ignoring consequences. He feels like he’s always being treated as a troubled teen who will act out, so he’s decided to live up to these expectations.

2p!Scotland is a sneaky and selfish businessman, through and through. You can also throw the word “sleazy” at him because for him, profit is all that counts. So what if he has to step on a few heads to get to the desired result? Family doesn’t seem to matter to him much, or he does little to maintain his relationships with them. He knows how to be smooth and win you over with his charms, but he’s pretty cynical and emotionally distant once you get to know him.

Yes, that’s 2p!Wales next to Wales. He spent all of his childhood being accidentally confused for England, so eventually he just decided to modify a few things (like haircut) and take on some of England’s mannerisms so that he would be practically identical to his brother. It’s almost impossible to tell them apart. You usually have to know 2p!Wales very well to say something that will make him slip up.As “Wales” he feels like he’s a nobody to others, but when he pretends to be “England”, others do actually pay attention to what he has to say. He has a bit of fun by either acting completely like England, or being just a tad bit nicer/less grumpy so that the real England has to put up with comments like “hey, what happened? You were so much nicer when we talked last time”.2p!Wales doesn’t really interact much with other nations, so he’s not that often causing mischief. He just likes having his fun, since most people are unable to tell him apart from England.

Alright, alright, I need to calm down a little. X)

But I’m so genuinely surprised and flattered that you drew my OCs and they look so stunningly beautiful and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I can’t get over how adorable you’ve drawn them! Comparing to how you drew them just a mere few months ago, the improvement in your art style is really significant. :D 

Also I really love what you have going on with their eyes!! <33 I find the stripes in Wales’ eyes to be a really interesting addition (and I might test something out with that, just to see how it looks like) and I honestly love what you did with Cornwall’s eyes!! That’s a really cool way to mix the green and blue, it looks so unique!

Northern Ireland… I-I can’t take it, you made him so cute. The colouring of his hair and jumper looks fantastic, I find his eyes also really interesting and his startled expression looks so cute. That’s one thing I’m noticing with your art style, your way of drawing expressions looks awesome! Brittany looks really great in her dress, I really like her energetic pose. Scotland gave me quite a chuckle, here he stands being a right grump. XD

Nice sad picture to reflect my sad feelings, though not for the same reasons. Ireland is nursing a broken heart and wondering if being in love is even worth it. The phrase “Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all” is one I hear often but I wonder how true the statement is. I was fortunate never to develop a full-blown romantic crush on someone and I don’t find that I’ve suffered from the lack of it. Isn’t it easier to have never known something, than to have known and lost it?

Finally settled on a ship for my Brittany OC, I’ve only had her for like 8 years before finally figuring out who I wanted to pair her with. With Normandy! They’re two characters that I don’t do much with, but they’re my only two French regions OCs so they’re special to me. Brittany is considered to be one of the few surviving Celtic nations so she definitely deserves more characterisation from me and Normandy is a region that had a very strong impact on England and his brothers. I feel that I developed Normandy a lot better in Behind the Mask, she strikes me as a personification who was quite lonely and wanted to be liked, but somehow was able to make enemies faster than she could make friends.

I came up with the ship because around the 800s, Brittany’s people would often work together with Vikings to kick Frankish butts, so I imagine that Brittany did have rather positive(??) relations with the Vikings. Then years later some Vikings settled in France which led to the creation of the duchy of Normandy and I think young Normandy may have taken a liking Brittany and Brittany was fairly fond of her. It would take a while before Normandy noticed that her feelings for Brittany were growing stronger and it probably took her much longer to admit them to Brittany. I think the ship has potential, I just feel I need to study their history more to map out how they interacted with each other over time.

This was supposed to be a type of symbolic imagery on the current state of the Irish language in Ireland, the fact that the language is technically no longer being strangled by the English language and yet Irish still struggles to stand on its own. (and the English language remains dominant) A lot of Irish people seem to assume that since Irish has failed to bounce back to full health after being strangled for about 200 years, it’s a waste of time and should just go extinct already.

Brittany and Ireland, a.k.a the Catholic Celtic siblings. Since they’re the remaining Celtic nations (out of six) that have remained Catholic. It wasn’t that hard for Brittany to remain Catholic, since she had France as a neighbour (and was later forcibly assimilated into his lands) And then there’s Ireland. England was… downright vicious when it came to his attempts to convert Ireland to Protestantism.

A lil Scot daydreaming about becoming a great and powerful kingdom. I think young Scotland would have had a teensy bit of megalomania, believing that he was destined for greatness. It wouldn’t be that hard to believe, given that his native name “Alba” is the Irish rendering of the name “Albion”, which was the original name of Great Britain… yeah, it’s just a tiny island in the world but to this boy, the island was *his* world. What a grand idea it was, to become the new successor of the island. Then he’d be like Ireland, representing an entire landmass. (only bigger than Ireland’s island!) … shame he had southern neighbours (Britons, Romans, etc.) to deal with.

Guess I’ll post this here too. Somehow managed to force a drawing out of me while I was drowning in tests and projects. Sketch is pretty old and is based on a 2-year old oneshot I wrote involving England and Ireland.
