“Yeah, nice to meet you too.” he responded, though his tone may have expressed otherwise.
The princess was certainly as bright as her colours. But at least she was polite, even if her cheery nature did deter the prince somewhat. He wasn’t quite used to dealing with these personality types… but he was going to have to get used to it since most of the Rainbow Trolls were like this. The princess herself, more so compared to her subjects it seemed.
Branch glanced where the princess waved, catching his guards waving back with small smiles of their own. Seems like his guards were already capture by her, which the prince just rolled his eyes at.
“As nice as that spot is, wouldn’t it probably be best to be somewhere more private? Rather than discuss things in the open with the rest of the village to hear and see, don’t you think, Princess?” Branch instead suggests. After all, royal meetings should be spoken between just them and a select few others. Plus… The prince was rather uncomfortable so out in the open and with so many other trolls walking about and looking at them.
“And as for your singing… I think you should be more wary of how loud you can be.” his tone was rather low, almost harsh sounding as he said those words. But he straightens himself out and crosses his arm over his chest before continuing– “But we’ll discuss more of that later.”
“O-oh, right! You’re right.” Poppy should have been thinking more clearly; as a princess, she needed to think of her duties and she couldn’t be discussing royal affairs out here for everyone else to listen in on. Ears drooping slightly she cleared her throat and gestured for the three other trolls to follow after her. She began walking once more, heading for a much bigger mushroom.
A door was engraved on the front, and Poppy opened it before letting the three enter before she finally stepped inside and closed the door behind them. “I apologize for that, I um, should have been more careful.”
She twiddled her thumbs in front of her, her usual smile faded from her face. Awkward, she was often so happy but today, nerves were getting to her. “As... as for my singing, I’m sorry for that too. We often sing because of how happy we feel. I guess we weren’t thinking.”
