it's not overreacting, we all have different levels of sensitivity. if it hurts, it hurts. no explanation needed
“There’s no arguing about how emotionally draining and exhausting this year was. There is no need to sugarcoat it and no reason to lie. The pandemic has affected all of us, maybe even changed us. It’s brought out the worst in some of us, led us to very dark places and made us believe there was no way out. For the most of us, 2020 held very few bright moments. Truth is we don’t know what things will be like two months from now, or six months down the road, or at the end of next year. But I‘m still hoping 2021 will be better. I hope there’ll soon be light at the end of this very dark tunnel. That we can eventually do all these things we once took for granted. To meet friends and watch a movie at the cinema, to have a piece of cake at a café, to dance the night away with both the people we love and complete strangers. To go to concerts. To hug our grandparents. Just because we can. Just because we feel like it. I hope we will never slip into that familiarity again. Into taking these moments that once felt pretty insignificant for granted. I hope we’ll always value them in the future, knowing what it is like to miss them.”

“I feel myself shutting down, closing off, like I should tell people, ‘No, we don’t use this heart anymore. It’s too fragile.”
