Cam narrowed his eyes, entirely confused by his surroundings. Everything looked familiar, but DIFFERENT. Strange, and wrong. One minute, he was stepping through the gate to meet the rest of SG-1 and now…well, this definitely wasn’t where Sam and the others were waiting; let’s put it that way. He studied the man before him, something bothering him that he couldn’t quite put his finger on. Roll with it. Play it cool until you figure it out. “No. No, I don’t…think so.” He stuck out his hand. “Lieutenant Colonel Cam Mitchell.”

Lieutenant Colonel... Yeah, no kidding. This guy screamed everything he’d come to expect from the Air Force. Not in a bad way -- of course not. Just... distinctive. What he couldn’t place, however, was why this man - who he knew he’d never seen in his life - could look familiar. Squinting a little, Daniel glanced at the uniform, gear, the patches... And he froze. On the man’s arm was something very familiar. The symbol for Earth. An uncomfortable shiver shot down Daniel’s spine. Something’s not right here. Warily, he eyed the man’s hand for a moment before grasping it for a handshake. “Dr. Daniel Jackson.”
