light
— light actually didn't think of himself as very smart at first. he had a lot of self-esteem issues at school because he worried he wasn't as smart as all the other kids until one day he took an iq test and actually tested way above average. that boosted his ego.
— light is crazy for apples because he doesn't allow himself to have sweets. he thinks they're unhealthy so apples are his only sweets.
— light really enjoys kids' nonfiction books. he just really really likes the pictures. they're his guiltiest habit, because he knows people would think he's childish.
— light's favorite breakfast is tamagoyaki cooked by his mother. he absolutely hates tamagoyaki cooked by places like at hotels. he thinks they always get the flavor wrong.
— he refuses to believe it, but light's on the autism spectrum.
l
— the only reason l has never had a monster energy drink is because watari won't let him out of fear he might get addicted (he will, but he doesn't think he will).
— when he starts thinking of his parents from before wammy's house, he forces himself to eat a singular baby carrot. that's how he conditioned himself not to think of his parents during work.
— l is on the autism spectrum too. he has it worse than light, but they both have autism.
— when l was staying in japan, he found out that he likes japanese sweets a lot more than british sweets.
— contrary to his personality, he likes rock music because it's a lot more stimulating than any other kind of music. he also likes classical.
misa
— misa is a lesbian and experiences comphet tendencies, going after guys she knows she can't have.
— she actually goes by she/they pronouns, but doesn't ever have they/them used for her and it drives her insane.
— when misa does karaoke, she does like metal and rock music, but she's also quite the fan of american pop music. she was a really big fan of britney spears and other music in that genre.
matt
— matt likes punk pop music. think all time low and other emo music from that time period.
— he has scars all over his hands and fingers from pulling the red hot rubble off of mello's body. whenever they're brought up, he brushes them off and pretends they don't exist.
— matt has minor ocd and adhd, resulting in him hating it when volume dials and the like aren't on a multiple of two or five, and he has very minor adhd-related tics, like twitching of his neck and clearing his throat, and a blinky eye.
— he gets obsessed with things like creepypasta and "cringy" interests easily and he doesn't give a flying FUCK who makes fun of them.
— he probably listened to t.A.T.u. when it was popular.
mello
— he was an ABSOLUTE diva when he was fifteen. always had to get his hair care perfect and make sure that his bangs curl just the right way.
— as much as he wants to pretend that he only listens to punk rock, he has a soft spot for music by people like britney spears and kelly clarkson.
— he has a multitude of piercings. has his nipples done, as well as his lip, nose, tongue, ear, and eyebrow.
— hid his scar with makeup for a while after it healed, but got too lazy to keep covering up and just left it as it was because he didn't care enough to keep wearing it.
— he sucks with technology and is generally awful with working with it. it's a weak point of his.
near
— he collects barbies as a hobby and isn't ashamed of it. he has all the limited editions.
— he likes listening to music that's vaguely electronic. he doesn't like the heavy stuff, but slightly synthesized music scratches his neurodivergent brain in the good way.
— one of his favorite sensory textures is the fur of something like a cat. has three inside the base that sometimes come to sit with him while he plays with his toys.
— he has oca1 type albinism, which means that his eyesight sucks. he wears contacts so his eyes don't get sunburned.
— he also listened to t.A.T.u. he and matt had a conversation about it once when they were both in wammy's house.
beyond
— beyond is another wammy kid who really, really likes cats and has about 6 of them.
— he's a really big snuggler and can't fall asleep unless he's hugging something. usually that's a pillow.
— he really likes humming and singing and whistling, making music when he's just walking around. he's good at all three and can carry a hell of a tune.
— he collects cigarette lighters and is always very firm about getting all the new styles and patterns that are out on the market. he's a collector in general, he likes collecting things like plushies and keychains.
— he roleplayed as an online furry when he was 13 or so. hates it when you bring up that phase. don't talk about it around him.
