As you stood in the hallway after class, waiting for Kageyama, you heard a loud voice behind you.
“OH! Y/N, HIIIII!”
You turned around to be met by none other than Hinata Shoyo.
“Hi Shoyo, have you seen Tobio?” You sighed, too tired to deal with his never ending stamina.
“Oh, Kageyama? Uh, I think he already left…”
Oh. That’s weird.
“Huh, thanks Shoyo. I guess I’ll text him. See you tomorrow.”
“Right! But it’s a Saturday tomorrow Y/n..”
“Ah, sorry. See you Monday then!” You said and walked off. When walking home you wondered why Tobio just disappeared, so you decided to text him.
3:46 pm
[Y/n]: Tobio. Where are u?
[Tobio 💙]: Home. Why?
[Y/n]: Oh, Shoyo just said u left early so I was just wondering..
[Tobio 💙]: Well, did you need something?
[Y/n]: Ah, no, I’ll see you Monday
[Tobio 💙]: Yes, see you on Monday.
You walked the rest of the way home, thinking about him, as per usual. When you arrived at home it was empty and quiet. Your mother was away this week and the house felt cold. You made some tea and sat down at the kitchen table to do a bit of homework.

At 5:57 pm you were finished and bored. Your mind wandered to Tobio again.
Hmm. Should I ask if he wants to come over? No, that’s stupid. Or is it? Agh this is driving me insane.
So you decided to call him. You pressed the call button and it rang once, twice, three times. And then he picked up.
“Hello Y/n, why are you calling?”
“Ah, I was just wondering if you wanted to get pork buns and watch a show.”
“Yes I have some free time, should I come over?”
“Will you pick up the pork buns? And maybe something to drink?”
“Of course, I’ll be there in 15 minutes”
“Great, see you!”
“Bye.”
When the call ended you were ecstatic, you grabbed your pillow and screamed into it. Why am I so nervous? Oh my god I need to look presentable when he gets here. So you jumped out of bed and started brushing your hair, fixing tiny details in your makeup and starting to tidy your room when you heard the sound of tiny rocks hitting your window. He’s already here. You opened your window and waved at him, and of course, he waved back. You practically flew down the stairs and opened the door for him.
“TOBIOOO!!!” You yelled at the top of your lungs, making the neighbours cat screech and run off.
He smiled at you with that same smile you’ve known for years. “Hey Y/n, you don’t have to wake the whole neighbourhood up.” He giggled.
You snickered and shoved him inside. As soon as you got inside you snatched the bag of pork buns from him and ran up the stairs.
“Hey! Wait!” He yelled and started sprinting after you.
Once you reached your room you sat down on your bed and Kageyama started opening the bag of pork buns while you put the tv on. It was a familiar feeling and it felt so right being with him like this. Your hand accidentally brushed his and his eyes widened before he looked away.
You settled into your bed with Kageyama, watching the show you both loved while eating pork buns and drinking yoghurt drinks. His side was pushed against yours and you could feel how just how strong he was. His muscles flexed with every tiny move. Has he always been this attractive?
“Tobio.” You said, looking at him shyly.
“Yes, Y/n?” He looked at you the same way as always.
“Do you want the last yoghurt drink?” You asked.
His eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. You chuckled. “Then you’ll have to take it from me!”
There was a glimpse of dedication in his eyes before he smirked. You held the yoghurt drink out of his reach and he started his attack. He tried to get it from you but you rolled away and smacked his head.
“Ah, seriously?” He snickered. Then, in just a moment, you found yourself flipped over underneath Kageyama Tobio who was breathing heavily.
You looked at him and saw a slight blush on his face. You giggled and he finally looked at you.
“Tobio..?” You smiled at him. “You’re a little heavy.”
“Oh, sorry about that.” He got up quickly and straightened his clothes out.
“Don’t worry. You definitely get the last yoghurt drink.” You chuckled and it made him laugh too.
He’s so cute, but so stupid. You felt a slight blush creep up on your face.
“I should probably go home.” He said, even though it didn’t sound like he wanted to.
“Oh sure, it’s getting late.” It’s a Friday, why would he need to leave now.
”But, Tobio.” He turned around.
“Yes?” He watched you intensely.
“It’s, you know, it’s a Friday and you don’t have practice tomorrow and I don’t wanna sleep alone…”
He froze. You actually saw his body tense up and then let go.
“You.. you want me to stay the night?” He stuttered and the blush on his face was obvious. He was pink to the tips of his ears.
“Sorry! You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” You shut your eyes in embarrassment and turned away.
“No, I’ll stay. Sleep is important.” He sat down on the edge of your bed and looked around awkwardly.
Kageyama went to the bathroom to get changed, because he conveniently had a spare change of clothes with him. While he was away you started frantically texting Shoyo.
9:37 pm
[Y/n]: SHOYO. HELP.
[Shoyo 🧡]: WHAT WHAT WHAT
[Y/n]: Kageyama is staying over, like SLEEPING over at my place. IN MY BED. I’m gonna pass out.
[Shoyo 🧡]: OH MY GOD REALLY??? FINALLY
[Y/n]: WHAT DO I DO???
[Shoyo 🧡]: Cuddle with him! And if he says anything you can just pretend to be asleep.
[Y/n]: okay, I’ll try… thank u Shoyo!
You felt like you could relax after texting Shoyo. Even though trying this out would be terrifying, it was something you longed for. You realised that Tobio was back when he cleared his throat as you were wagging back and forth on your bed.
“You can use the bathroom now.” He said silently and he looked so cute trying to look unbothered.
“Oh, right.” You got your pyjamas out of your wardrobe and headed to the bathroom. Trying to keep calm you almost gave yourself a pep talk in the mirror. Oh my god can I behave??? He’s a friend I’ve known for a long while and I just so happen to like him. You slapped yourself on both sides of your face and then washed it in cold water to prepare for your doom.
After you got changed you found Tobio sitting on your bed and observing your room. As if he hasn’t been in it a thousand times.
“You’re so observant Tobio.. it’s not like it’s the first time you’re in my room.” You laughed. He turned to you and nodded.
“I figured maybe something would be different this time.” He said softly, and you could see the fond look in his eyes.
You walked towards your bed and sat down next to him. Your arms brushed together and the two of you blushed and looked away. Why is he blushing?? Does he like me? Oh my god what do I do?
“Hey Tobio?” You said quietly. “Are you sure you want to sleep next to me?”
“Huh? Yes, why wouldn’t I want to?” He asked, and you could tell he was confused. He looked at you in a way that gave you butterflies in your stomach.
“Ah, I don’t know. Cause I’m scary?” You giggled and tried to look scary. It failed, and he just laughed his soft cute laugh which made his face light up.

It was now 11:23 pm and you were cuddled up with Tobio in your bed watching some lame horror movie that you could tell made him feel uneasy.
“Are you scared Tobio?” You asked him, as if you couldn’t feel how he shifted uncomfortably and how his heart was racing. “Is it the movie or is it me?” You asked, mostly as a joke. Then, as quietly as ever he said:
“Maybe.. both?”
Oh. Is he scared of me or is he getting shy because I’m a woman or does he like me?
“Oh, I can move further away if you’re uncomfortable.” You said, and just as you were about to move he stopped you by pulling you in closer.
“No. Stay.” Your eyes widened in shock. He wants me to stay here. He — Kageyama Tobio — wants to cuddle.
“Aw, Tobio, of course I’ll cuddle with you.” You mocked him slightly and saw how his face was turning pink.
He scoffed but he didn’t let you go, if anything he held on to you harder. You felt yourself blushing slightly and you started settling into his side. You put your leg on top of his and you felt him tense and then relax. He started stroking your back and you realised he was getting comfortable.
Before you realised you were glued together and you were almost dozing off. When you were about to fall asleep you heard Tobio mumble.
“You’re so pretty Y/n.” And then he kissed the top of your head and gently caressed it.
You fell asleep like that. Cuddling him and listening to his heartbeat. I could get used to this.

8:32 am. That’s when the sunlight peeked through your window just right to almost blind you. You opened your eyes and Tobio was facing you, his hand on your waist holding you close. He wasn’t quite snoring, but there were cute little sounds escaping his mouth.
You stroked his face lightly and you could see how his expression turned soft.
“Tobio” you whispered. “Wake up sleepyhead.”
He didn’t react so you said his name louder and shook him.
“Tobio, wake up.”
“Mmh, what is it?” He asked, still half asleep.
How do I wake him up?? Maybe I should just scare him.
“Tobio. I like you.” You sputtered out.
He sat straight up and blinked so fast you could barely comprehend it.
“WHAT?” He yelled, and you had to cover his mouth to stop him.
“Are you joking right now. Seriously? Swear you mean it!” He looked at you like he was desperate.
You laughed softly. “I’m serious Tobio. I really like you.”
You swore he could’ve started crying right there, the way he looked at you was like you hung the moon.
“Oh my god Y/n you can’t do stuff like that to me. I thought you were joking just to wake me up.”
You giggled and took his hand. Stroking it softly and looking at him.
“Tobio, I thought you knew.” You said shyly.
“How could I have? I thought you were being friendly.” He coughed out.
Idiot.
You smiled at him.
“I heard what you said last night.” Your smile turned into a teasing smirk.
“You’re so pretty Y/n” you fake mocked.
“Stop it. That’s embarrassing.” He looked away.
“Tobio, I’m kidding, it was cute.” You said fondly.
“Well, now that I know you like me you can be my girlfriend.” He smiled, that same smile. The one you’ve always known, and adored.
“That’s not how you ask someone out Tobio.” You snorted.
“Fine. Y/n, will you please be my girlfriend? You mean the world to me and I’ll do my best.”
Aw. He’s so cute.
“Yes Tobio, I’ll be your girlfriend.” You said before kissing his forehead.
He looked scared, and then before you could apologise, he kissed you. Like actually kissed you. On your lips. And you just melted into it.
“I’m so in love with you.”
“I’m in love with you too.”

Monday 8:13 am was when you walked into school, hand in hand.
Shoyo saw you two together and actually screamed.
“OH MY GOD FINALLY.”
People around you jumped but you and Kageyama just chuckled before Shoyo started bombarding you with questions.
