[Trans/Interview] B.A.P "Strong concept, clothe that suits us the best"
On the recent sportsworldi’s interview, (B.A.P) were asked, ‘How are you filling leader Bang Yongguk’s vacancy?’ and B.A.P’s Youngjae answered, “The vacancy is huge of course. But Yongguk hyung is constantly monitoring for us, and there are no big difficulties because the 5 of us are unitedly together doing our best even for (our) leader’s shares/parts.” And continued with, “I am looking forward to go up on the stage together as 6 members once again.”
When asked, whether or not there were difficulties promoting as 5 member group, Jongup said, “There are no big difficulties yet but, (we) do feel some what empty.” And added “Since the personalities that the 5 members carry are all different, we are engaging in our promotions with the thoughts let’s all do good on our own parts in our own space. B.A.P as a whole overflows with charms but, we want to show each one of the 5 member’s charms through this promotion as well.
With showing off of 10 minutes of running time, B.A.P members who have transformed into rough men through their realistic acting are capturing fans all over the world’s gazes through youtube etc..
About this B.A.P’s Himchan said “(We) have really put lots of efforts into the music video, and I’m just thankful that (you guys) have sent us a lot of interests.” And added with “Personally, in the ‘Skydive’ music video, the last scene where the culprit x, Jongup’s identities were revealed were the most memorable. To point out the key points, I’m thinking it’ll be Jongup’s last acting.”
Specially through this music video, B.A.P members have gotten a big attention with pose close to a movie actors. When asked, if after this music video, there are casting offers coming in, who’d be the best, Zelo chose member Himchan. Zelo said, “Since this ‘Skydive’ music video was a noir concept, (we) needed a strong impression. Since Himchan-ie hyung’s mask is the most serious, I thought it fit very well and I think (he’d) be able to fully show good acting through whether a movie or a drama.”
B.A.P Daehyun said, “We showed lots of strong and rough concepts ever since debut. That’s why I think strong image is the best suitable clothe for B.A.P.” and added “So we are confident as much to express it well and even on the stage we are full of confidence. Please show lots of interest and love to (our) 2nd full album ‘Noir’ and the title song ‘Skydive.’”
Specially in this album, there are total of 13 songs including the title song ‘Skydive’. With 13 songs with different genres and colors, (you guys) must want to show it off. About this Daehyun said, “As leader Yongguk-ie hyung as the head, the genre of the songs the members listen to is variety so I think the range of music B.A.P can express is very broad.” And added “Although we have included lots of songs in this album as well, we are planning to show (you guys) variety genres of music with the albums that’ll be announced from now on.”
With the album receiving hot favorable comments, (you guys) should be able to use the word ‘artist’ with confidence but B.A.P is rather careful with the expression ‘artist’. About this Youngjae answered humbly, “The word artist is never a light expression. Whenever (we are) called artists perimetrically, (we are) just ashamed and pressured.” And added, “(We don’t) want to cling onto modifiers(words that stick around when B.A.P is brought up). B.A.P is planning to do music constantly even on forward and we are planning to challenge different genres and also grow/develop.” And Youngjae also emphasized, “To B.A.P, music is ‘passion’”
