Hi, my Nephilim—I hope you’re all doing well. I created this first page based on a theory circulating in the community: how Dante used his sword as a child, even though the comic says he first wields it as an adult. Another theory I had was about how Mundus lost his right eye. I hope you like this; my idea is to draw the scene where, after Mundus kills Dante’s mother, He’d be fighting several demons and people, which is why he looks like this. When he reaches Mundus, he gets ready to attack him. I hope you like it—I’ll just do 2 or 3 pages of this so it makes sense ♡

Hey everyone, how are you? Today I’m sharing this drawing of Dante inspired by Randy Marsh when he fights Bat-Dad. The idea was to draw Dante before he had Rebellion. I hope you like it. By the way, the other day I tuned into a live stream by a Dante fan, and someone asked what he thought of DMC.

Let me introduce you to Dante. The design I created for him features a trench coat that’s somewhere between brown and red. But I wanted to highlight the red trim; the hoodie was inspired by his conceptual art of Dante in DMC 5. The necklace is obviously from the 2010 trailer—which nobody liked—but I thought, “Hey, that necklace is really cool; I used to have one.” For the hairstyle, I wanted to blend DMC’s hair with a longer style. I wanted to keep that punk and rebellious vibe but show him starting to take responsibility for his demonic and angelic heritage. Oh, and I added the earrings because it looked a bit plain otherwise. This Dante has emotional issues and trauma from what happened with Vergil, and Kat helps him after a year of hard work and demonic rewards. That’s the only thing that eases his pain and trauma.
