I know I don’t really use my account like to complain abt shit but I gen am so annoyed abt this 😭😭 but I’m so tired of seeing people use the choso x r/eader tag (I’m trying to censor it so it doesn’t show up in the searches I’m not trying to be what I’m complaining abt 😭😭) to make posts like “im so sick of sub choso!!!” Or “why is everyone making so much sub choso??” Or “ermmm hot take, i don’t wanna read sub choso fics cuz he’s not a sub!!” SHUT UPPPPPPPP GO READ DOM CHOSO THEN.

like if you want dom choso content it’ll be there for you like for every one sub choso thing they’ll be three more dom choso ones I promise you’ll be fine. I’m mostly annoyed cuz sub character/femdom reader is already so rare in fandom spaces that when I see people complain about it it irks me like yall got ppl writing stuff for you all the time, please stop complaining abt the people writing for those of us that enjoy a different dynamic.

And listen if you really wanna complain abt it you can (I mean look at me lol I’m doing the same), my gripe is that you don’t need to be putting it in the tags for people trying to find actual content

I can say with full soul and confidence that I can see fanart of a character abs rippling, veins popping, and glistening without batting an eye, but there is something about your Choso that has me twirling my hair and acting up. I think it’s the flush and the beautiful eyes and the big biceps. Gorgeous. Your art is absolutely lovely! Many, many kudos and blessings to you.

Anon you get me…..I enjoy taking my own version of choso in a softer muscle direction!! while I do agree canon choso would be more like…well like how he looks in the show😭😭 my personal take on choso is a modern au that I have tons of thoughts and lore and hcs specifically for that au so I draw him as such!! Plus I agree that super ripped dudes are alr and all but what really moves me a chubby buff sort of build 🤤🤤

But also yes!!! There’s softness not only in his body but also in his demeanor that I try to capture!! Flushed face, embarrassed expressions, soft eyes!!! There’s so much characterization that you can do in art so I try my best to get my version of choso across to yall :D!!!

And ummm the first art I saw of urs was of Mammon on Pinterest and it lowkey opened my eyes like I never saw someone draw him like that. Whenever I draw smth I tried to make them as canon as possible with their clothes and stuff but seeing you draw him like that really sort of made me see the whole point of art in a different way. i think i worry a lot on poses looking anatomically correct, how do you draw poses so fluidly? i feel like i rely too much on references

Hiii!! I actually heavily rely on pose pics as well as my own knowledge abt the body, so I don’t think it’s wrong to use refs to your advantage!! I think when it comes to poses, there’s two things I think are the most important things when doing them, which is speed and only drawing wats needed!!

I also think one thing that’s not necessarily a hard rule but something that may help you make things more fluid is to stop drawing poses, but trying to draw movements!! You should try to capture the movement of getting into the pose more than what the pose looks like when the person is in place!!

For the speed thing, I’ve always said that my time doing figure drawing in college really helped me pose wise!! It helps seeing the model get into the pose as you see what motions they made to get their body in that position!! And when it’s a timed exercise, it makes you focus solely on the movement of the body rather than the pose itself!! Here’s some of my drawings during those times, a mix of less than 1 min poses to 3 min poses and time in between!!

These lead me to my other point, only drawing wats necessary!! I think people tend to draw every little part of the body when doing a pose and that may make it seem more rigid, especially if you don’t yet have a good grasp on the body anatomy wise!! If you only focus on adding parts that are necessary, you can get the pose/movement across more clearly! For example, I didn’t draw the arms or legs fully in the drawing above, but the straight action lines I drew in their stead get the idea across enough for you, the viewer!! Take this other drawing for example:

Again things aren’t drawn fully or even anatomically correct, but the shading and general shapes get the idea across enough that you can tell (hopefully 😭😭) what the pose is!! Maybe it stems from my laziness or getting easily bored but I only draw what I think gets the point across, no more no less. Unless there’s a specific location that’s I REALLY want to emphasize, I’ll keep it worked on enough so that the viewer gets the idea but not so detailed that it takes away from that specific spot I want the spotlight on😋👍 but also!! If it’s a fully rendered pice try not to leave it so rough that it draws away from the main point either!! You wanna find that sweet spot of worked on just enough that it looks done but not so much or so little that it draws you away from other areas!!

HIIII yah i did wanna add a bit more to him!! I know it’s not canon compliant and canon Choso would definitely be leaner but when I draw Choso, unless its specifically stated that it’s canon cho I mostly draw my own modern au take on him and that includes my own personal headcanons and such!! Plus, I like more meat on the bone and I’m self indulgent so 😋👍 anyways I’m glad other ppl like it too!!! I was worried the new change didn’t come across in this recent drawing but I’m glad you noticed ^^!

i love watching ur art timelapse!! but ive been wondering, when you're rendering/cleaning up ur sketch are you drawing on the lineart layer or making a whole new layer above it? :^

Hiii thank you!! I honestly really like watching the Timelapse too it’s fun to see how days of work condense into a few seconds :D!!! As for your question I technically do a new layer cuz after the sketch and flats I go right into rendering!! I typically start with a small like thumbnail sketch to get the basic idea/composition down and then make it bigger!!! I might add a small detail or two but for the most part I try not to keep it detailed (which lowkey screws me over sometimes when I start to render stuff 😭😭)!! Then when the basic sketch is down I add flat colors real quick and then jump right into rendering!! I always start with the face cuz that’s what takes me the most time 😭😭 I think every personal drawing I do I got thru 2-3 face redos cuz I’m too picky when it comes to it 💔💔 once I start rendering tho I actually try to keep everything on one layer, almost like a real canvas! I’ll draw on a separate layer, and then once I’m happy with whatever I drew I merge it to the layer below and then keep going.

Going into detail under the cut!!

Using nurse choso for example this is what the layers looked like at the end of the process!! The purple is my background layers, the green my sketch and flats, the blue my rendering/painting layers, and yellow is my gradient map layers!!

As you can see with my painting layers, I have the main layer with everything on it and one layer always above that I draw on and then transfer to the main layer below!! Here’s a comparison of my main painting layers with the background/sketch/flats and without it!! You can see a lot of my brush strokes in there as well as the gaps where I just let the sketch/flats layer bled thru to the top ^^!! But for the most part tho I usually end up completely painting over my sketch!!

Hopefully this gives you a better idea of my process!! I’m sure it might be a bit weird and merging all my bullshit together might make stuff a bit hard but hey it works so far so I might as well keep wit it right😋😋? Anyways thanks for the question!! I love talking shop with yall cuz it forces me to think about my process and how to explain it to other ppl in a way that ain’t too complicated or confusing😭!!

Are there any resources you've used to learn to draw? I love your style and recently gotten myself a drawing tablet, but transitioning to it from traditional art is a bit shocking

Hi there!!! I’m really happy that you like my style, it’s taken a lot of time to find a way of drawing that allows me to look at my stuff and be like yeah this is heat 🔥🔥🔥 as for resources I’ve always liked drawing from real life ever since I started taking figure drawing classes during my college time :D!! Drawing what’s right in front of you and learning how to do it fast especially will help you grasp things much quicker I think!!

But if we want a non irl resource I’ve always recommended saving your favorite artists work somewhere on your phone so you can look back and see how they tackled certain things in their art!! I was never much for studying things and such so I’m not too knowledgeable on specific resources that are for learning so apologies for that 😰😰 but hopefully I gave you a little nudge in the right direction direction on where you wanna take ur art!!
