Tumblr and i found are way back to each other once life brought me to Salem, Oregon.

The best way to describe Salem: sleepy, mid, welcoming. You know in the doc Wild Wild Country, when the Raajneeshees drop off the “street people” in random place in Oregon. Yeah, those people are here in plenty. I sometimes see grungy red and pink fits on some older folks living out here on the street.

Yes, life brought me to Salem, Oregon. Im here because my partner was offered a position to start a food truck. [food trucks are the life force of Salem]. Unfortunately and fortunately, no contract was made about this deal. The offer-ers of said deal were more likely interested in exploiting us for work in their cannabis business than they were prepared to start a food truck. It ended ugly with them. I’m glad it ended. A little over a month before parting ways my partner and I realized what was happened and so we started selling food as a pop-up, under a big blue tent. Before long we created a buzz, we were selling out every time. Once we split with the investors we had Salem on our side. We have so many offers to be in spaces all across this sleepy city. The consensus amongst consumers “tell us the address and we’ll be there. We support YOU.” As a start-up you couldn’t ask for any thing better.

Salem is a great place for magic. I guess anywhere is, but the unexpectedness is very special.
