summer considered herself lucky. literally the last person in the world was willing to give her the time that she needed. and very cool about it. but he knew how to get her heart racing all at the same time. all of a sudden jackson had spun her around so that her back was to him, and felt his hands on his hips. she giggled, feeling the breath on her ear. “wait six feet? damn that’s far.” she pouted. the her hips followed his along to the beat of the music. she grinned as his arms wrapped around her. still the same sarcastic asshole she’d always known. “you’ve always been bad at timing keno.” she smiled before spinning herself around and pulling herself into his chest. “but i can seperate my work and personal life.” she scrunched her nose, leaning in to his lips, to barely, touch them, yet just as qucikly, pulled away. “i don’t think mormon’s do that on the first date.” she sighed, taking one of his hands and rubbing the back. “do mormons invite you for one more drink before you walk them back to their place? or have sleepovers at yours?” to be honest, summer never met a mormon, but she had a good idea….sort of.
jackson couldn’t help but smile at her comment about the six feet, then laughing at her mention of his bad timing. feeling her pull herself away and then closer to him, he felt their lips touch and let his eyes close before she pulled away, his eyes opening to stare at her for a moment. “do we even know what mormons really do? cause I don’t, and I don’t think you do either. how do we know they don’t do that on a first date?” he smiled brightly before shrugging his shoulders and opening the door. “I don’t see why not. i’m sure they drink all the time, anyway.” he lead her inside and up to the bar, sort of happy that gabe wasn’t still sitting there. he didn’t feel bad about the dance off, that was bound to happen. however, he did feel bad if the guy had actual feelings for summer. as far as he knew, they didn’t know each other. especially based off the fact that summer couldn’t even get his name right. still, he wasn’t one to rub something into someone else’s face. wrapping his arm around her waist, he smiled at the bartender, “one gin and tonic, and whatever she’s having.” he handed his card over as summer ordered, then sat in the barstool closest to them and pulled her in between his legs. “so this sleeping thing. we’re taking it slow, so cuddling. that’s all i’ll allow. do you have a comfy bed?” jackson believed that sleep could solve all problems and had, therefore, invested in a very nice mattress. but if she was more comfortable at her place, he wouldn’t complain one bit. “i will walk you wherever you want to go.”
